You And Me (Morpheus)

(March 3rd. Evening.)

Nani was nervous as she approached the guys cabin. She was dressed in a yellow T-shirt and blue shorts as well as a pair of sandals. She was here for her date with Morpheus. She saw more of him in training than being together. They hadn't even gotten the chance to be on a date yet and she was going to fix that today. She knew they'd both been busy but she wanted to make it up to him. If he still wanted her. She hadn't been subtle about her feelings for him and she knew he felt the same. After being stuck here Morpheus was the second decent guy she'd been with. The first as David but they'd had an on again/off again relationship. They had decided to remain friends before she'd been sent here. Her feelings for Morpheus were strong. She hadn't had feelings this strong for anyone. Not even David. She gathered her courage and knocked on the door hoping Morpheus would join her.

It had been too long since Morpheus had time with Nani alone. Due to being so busy, he seemed to be distracted. He tended to be a bit of a workaholic, mostly because most of the time he was used to fighting. He still had plenty of love for Nani though and did still indeed want her. He heard the knock on the door and rushed himself to see who it was. Morpheus put on a green t-shirt and black shorts before opening it. He beamed to see Nani and came out "Hello Nani, I was just about to go find you. To see if we could explore your home" It was true. He was going to go out with her anyway. He closed the door and smiled at her

Nani smiled at Morpheus as he joined her.

"I see we had the same idea. I just beat you to it. Never thought I'd get the drop on you." teased Nani.

She laughed and glanced around.

"Well you want to go for a walk around town? Maybe get some ice cream or something?" asked Nani.

[Morpheus]

"Well all great minds beat the weaker ones" Morpheus smiled to her. He beamed as she laughed. Her happiness was contagious and always made him feel better. He held her hand and nodded at her suggestions "I think having some ice cream is a good start. Then afterwards go through a nice walk. I think that'd be lovely" He then walked while holding her hand, leaving to get the date started.

Nani chuckled.

"I'm sure they do." said Nani.

She smiled holding his hand as they kept walking.

"We should find a shady spot to eat it. Ice cream melts fast, especially in this heat. Unless it's an indoor ice cream parlor." said Nani.

Nani made him smile as she spoke, Morpheus realized. But then again he always thought her voice tended to make him smile. He held her hand as they walked to get ice cream and he nodded in agreement "Indeed, get a shady place to prevent it melting if it's outside" He then saw a nice little outside parlor where people were eating under seats with large pretty umbrellas. He turned over and replied "Well speak of the devil, there's a nice place right there" He then took her over to proceed getting some ice cream

Nani noodded and psotted an ice cream parlor and some sets covered with umbrella.

"Well this is perfect." said Nani.

She smiled walking with her to get some ice cream. She got some vanilla ice cream while waiting for Morpheus to gert his own.

As morpheus decided on the spot, he decided on some chocolate. Finding it extra sweet to his liking, he even put some cherries on it as topping. He then took nani's hand with a free hand and set her down nicely on her chair. He then sat down on his own and proceeded to eat some of his ice cream. He then smiled softly "Very delicious. This is very nice"

Nani grinned. She was glad they were both enjoying themselves.

"Yes it is." said Nani.

She grinned and began eating some ice cream. She licked her lips to get it off and grinned.

"We need to this more often. Even if it's just eating sandwiches on the back porch. I know we need to train and everything but I miss spending time with you like this." said Nani.

Morpheus heard her respond that she wanted to spend time with him like this and he couldn't help but agree. He nodded, holding her hand and replied "I definitely want more time with you also. We definitely should do it more often even if we need to plan a day off just to do it" He then thought to himself about how his people were doing from when he last was they were winning and he wouldn't need to be there anymore. So he decided that once this war ended he would stay in hawaii and help nani with lilo.

Nani smiled.

"I'm glad. This war has brought many couples together but it also keeps us apart. Training, battles, and all the other craziness. I don't even get to see Lilo much and I used to see her every day back home." said Nani.

[Morpheus]

"Indeed. You need some time to yourself and need to spend time with Lilo. This war can be stressful, I agree. I will certainly do my part to make time for the two of us. But if you wish for lilo to join us once in a while that is more than fine" Morpheus offered as to give nani some validation to her feelings. He wanted to be as supportive as possible for her. He wanted to be there for her. As he ate more of his ice cream he found himself really embracing the simple side of life as the war went on. It made him appreciate this time with nani.

Nani smiled.

"I wish I could spend more time with you and my sister. Sometimes it feels like days since I've gotten to see either of you." said Nani.

She shook her head.

"Maybe sometimes but my time with Lilo is precious to me just like my time with you is." said Nani.

[Morpheus]

Morpheus felt a deal of shame as nani admitted to not feeling like enough time was spent between them. He sighed "I know. This war has brought us together but it is also making us spend time apart. I'll make more time for us" Morpheus did love nani but he felt a bond with her younger sister also. It was like the daughter he never had a chance to have. He then listened as nani replied that sometimes was fine but the time just the two of them was precious. Morpheus nodded "I understand. I was merely offering. If lilo wishes to come every once in a while she can" He continued eating the ice cream, enjoying the talk they were having. The minutes together was worth it to him but he made a note to make more time.

He then replied "There is plenty more we should do here. Perhaps explore the area" He then joked a little, smirking "Maybe you can finally teach me to dance" He smirked some more

Nani nodded.

"There are so many new couples and friendships because of this war. We all need to make time. Maybe we need to do something like a chart like we would get to hang out Thursday mornings and another couple could hang out Thursday evenings. And if things don't work out we can do it another day." said Nani .

Nani grinned.

I'm sure she'd love that. David was my ex and kind of like a big brother to her. And being stuck here she doesn't have David, Pleakley, Jumba or Stitch here. It's just the two of us. In a way like it was before Stitch and the others came and yet we still remember them." said Nani.

Nani's grin grew.

"I'd like to explore with you." said Nani

She chuckled.

"I'm sure I will." said Nani.
