Good Friends (Bambi)

[Bambi]

"Yes. I'm very grateful for that at least. I don't try to rub that in though. My mom once told me it's rude to brag" Bambi shrugged "I don't like bragging anyway. It's not fun" He then saw how sad Littlefoot was getting and remembered Littlefoot wasn't as fortunate with his parents. Sure he was raised by a good mother but his father was distracted by other things. Unlike Bambi's own father, his own dad seemed to focus on other responsibilities.

"They do. I guess they think it's important to do certain things. Because it shows some respect. But I never cared for that type of respect, it's always nice to be treated like a friend instead. So I don't mind the mistakes" Bambi replied. Bambi was a humble child. That was because his mother acted like everyone else. She allowed him to communicate with all the forest creatures. She made sure he was nice and behaved respectfully, to everyone. Bambi grew to liking to treating people with respect. It felt right. So others bowing felt out of place for him.

"I guess you're right. I don't mind her. Her temper is just off-putting is all" Bambi shrugged again at the mention of Cera. He then listened to littlefoot's suggestion that maybe paradise was only meant for people and not animals of any kind. Bambi breathed softly, thinking it over before replying "Well like you said, we don't know that. I'll hope mom's in a good place and I'll see her again. It's better than not hoping at all. Besides, we have a life ahead of us, we got plenty of time"

"Don't worry. Can't be any worse than me" Bambi giggled again before replying "Yeah we'll ask during dinner. Linksano can't say no to us. We're nice"

[Littlefoot]

Littlefoot nodded.

"My grandpa told me that too. Cera does it sometimes and so did some of the others back home. I usually justi gnore them." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot grinned.

"I know he's doing good with his own herd. I do miss him but he does visit so I do get to know him." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot chuckled.

"She can be hard to get used to but she is nice. She just acts tough sometimes like her dad." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot nodded again.

"I guess we won't know until we see them again one day." said Littefoot.

Littlefoot nodded.

"You're right. I'm sure he'll say no." said Littlefoot.

Bambi

[Bambi]

"I ignore it myself. I just do the best I can and just be grateful for what I have" Bambi agreed with his longneck friend. Cera and a few of the other children around here were a bit rambunctious. Kiara especially was quite the bragger. But he supposed that being a princess of a well-liked king could make someone like that. Bambi then nodded understandably as Littlefoot explained his situation with his father "My dad used to not even do that. I only met him once before my mother's death. I didn't even know he was my father until he told me. He had to learn to be my dad" Bambi replied. It wasn't bitter in the slightest. Bambi understood why. His father was assigned to take care of the forest. It was a big order.

"Oh I understand. I guess I'll get to know her" Bambi shrugged. He understood but Cera was indeed someone hard to like. Kiara was too in a way. But Bambi got used to people so he supposed it was worth trying. He then nodded sadly as Littlefoot replied the only way to get to know was to join their parents. Bambi sighed before nodding about Linksano "Still I think we should ask him. It's worth a try"

[Littlefoot]

Littlefoot nodded.

"For awhile we didn't have much before we found the Great Valley so I'm always grateful for what I have." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot smiled at him.

"At least we get to know them now. Although now that we're stuck here I miss him and my grandparents and my other friends. I haven't even Cera in awhile. I'm sure she misses her father too." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot nodded again.

"Just try to be patient with her. We've all had to back home. Sometimes she gets angry and loses her temper but friends often get mad at each other. We make up after awhile." said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot shrugged.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to try." said Littlefoot.
