Alone At Last (Tony)

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

"Okay now that is true. You got me cornered" Tony said with a cheerful laugh. He then raised a eyebrow as Bruce said he'd kidnap Tony if it meant being alone "That's not fair, brucey. What if you never need to kidnap me and just take me someplace? Kidnapping is most scandalous" He said this with a teasing, playful tone. He was more than amused, spending time with someone he truly loved and trusted.

Tony then beamed as the two kissed underwater. It felt so refreshing to just be around Bruce. He felt happy. Free even. The two lasted underwater before he pulled back, breathing a bit heavier due to the need of air "Jeez, bruce. Another brilliant idea you had. Man, was that something" Tony then mischievously grabbed and playfully tried to dunk him in.

Bruce grinned.

"Of course I do." said Bruce.

Bruce chuckled.

"I suppose I could. But there are not that many public places around. My original plan of always staying angry doesn't work. Especially when I'm around you. I could never stay mad at you and you just make me laugh too much. I'm afraid of losing control in public." said Bruce.

Bruce grinned enjoying kissing Tony underwater. It was fun and exciting. He gasped for air as they surfaced and he grinned.

"It certainly was. We should take advantage of this while we're here. Not many chances to go swimming back home or kiss like that." said Bruce.

Bruce was surprised as Tony grabbed him and dunked him. Bruce grinned pushing at Tony not sure if he shoved him under or just away from him as Bruce surfaced.

"How about we swim for a bit? Maybe race?" asked Bruce.

"Bruce, please. Don't say that. You're not like a lot of people with crazy powers. You never go overboard. I have faith in you" Tony replied, sincere and honest. Sure, there was always the possible chance Bruce could get hurt or hurt someone, but Tony knew better. Or he thought he did. He had trust more than reason backing him up.

He laughed as he successfully dunked bruce. And gave a child-like yelp when he was pushed into the water. He laughed some more, wiping his wet hair out of his face and beamed. It was great seeing Bruce act not so uptight and be a bit more free. He nodded at the idea of a race "I'm so gonna beat you! You're toast!" He then proceeded to respond, getting ready for a race "Alright, get ready, on your mark, get set, swim!" He then started to swim, waiting just a small bit to see bruce catch up

Bruce smiled at him.

"And I'm always grateful you do." said Bruce.

Bruce laughed as Toy said he was going to beat him and took off.

"Only in your dreams Tony." said Bruce.

Bruce started swimming after him as Tony got a head start but it didn't long for him to catch up. He grinned giving a splash towards Tony before laughing again and swam a bit faster. He didn't care if he won or not but it'd be fun if he did. He really was just glad he could let go for once with Tony and just have fun.

Tony was glad Bruce appreciated his efforts. They were mostly verbal but they meant something. Or at least were intended to mean something. Then the two were racing in the water. Tony swam for his life and laughed as he got splashed "Hey no splashing! That's cheating!" He kept racing, almost to the destination. He was a little more competitive than his love, so winning plus having fun was his focus.

Bruce laughed at Tony's reply.

"We didn't make any rules so I'd say anything's fair game. Well as long as we don't seriously hurt each other." said Bruce.

He grinned as he kept going just having a blast.

"Unless of course you can't think you can keep up." said Bruce.

"Fine. But you're still a cheater" Tony argued playfully as Bruce pointed out the flaw in his logic. He kept swimming and heard Bruce challenge him. Tony laughed "Oh it's on now, banner! It's on!" He swam faster and faster, slowly catching up to bruce. He was gonna win if it killed him. Nothing would stand in his way

Bruce grinned.

"Whatever you need to tell yourself." teased Bruce.

He laughed and kept swimming only to gasp as he panted heavily.

"Oh no. Not now." said Bruce.

He moaned as he started to transform and soon was replaced by the Hulk. He saw Tony swimming and swam towards the superhero giving him a hug.

"Hello Metal Man. What are we doing out here?" asked Hulk.

Tony was distracted with winning he didn't notice Bruce stop. In fact, he was completely blindsided when the hulk appeared. It was almost too late when the hulk came to Tony's view. Tony immediately backpedaled in a bit of a panic as the big brute came towards him. Suddenly the green giant hugged him and Tony couldn't help but gasp for some air as he was hugged too tight. He choked out "Hey-hey big guy, me and puny banner went on vacation, that's why we're here. Can--oh lord--can you let go of me big guy? You're kind of hurting my lungs"

Hulk heard Tony's voice and froze.

"Hulk hurting metal man." said Hulk.

He let Tony go setting him down closer to the shore and backed away from Tony.

"Hulk supposed to be good." said Hulk.

His hands were shaking and he felt sad, scared and angry. He cried out in a mixture of those emotions with tears starting to flow as he slammed his fist into the ground leaving a small crater that soon was filled by sand and water. He turned away unable to face Tony.

"All Hulk can do is destroy. Betty left. Tony leave too. Maybe Hulk leave first." whispered Hulk.

Tony plopped to the water and took a breath before turning to see Hulk really upset. Tony cursed at himself, feeling stupid for using his words the wrong way. The hulk was a child and needed to be treated like one. Tony went over, getting water and sand all over him from the impact of hulk's punch. Tony wiped the stuff off and replied softly "Hey, hey, big guy. Don't worry about it. You didn't mean it. I know you would never want to hurt me" He went over and hugged the hulk's back "You're very good, big guy. You're very good. You're the best"

"No. No don't leave. Tony would be very sad if you left. Tony can't live without his big green giant" Tony replied softly. He held the big hulk's hand and replied "Come on. Don't cry. Tony sometimes says things wrong. Tony is stupid"

Hulk relaxed as Tony tried to comfort him.

"Hulk never want to hurt you. But Hulk too strong." said Hulk.

He was surprised as Tony hugged him and Hulk leaned against him.

"Thank you metal man." said Hulk.

Hulk smiled and took his hand.

"Alright. I won't go. Don't want to make you sad." said Hulk.

Hulk shook his head.

"Tony is never stupid. Tony smart. Smartest man in world." said Hulk.

"Hey nobody's perfect, big guy. You're my strong man" Tony assured, trying desperately to not let the hulk get so upset. Chaos came whenever the hulk was upset and he promised bruce they'd keep a low profile. Not that Tony minded if the hulk had more emotional needs but tony needed to keep the feelings in check. Mostly cause of wanting this to be as simple and relaxing as possible. He then kept hugging the hulk, relieved he wasn't pushed away. Tony smiled even more when the hulk replied he wouldn't leave to prevent upsetting tony "Thank you hulk. Tony would be very sad if you left. Tony loves his big guy" He sweetly replied

"Well even smart people say stupid things sometimes. Tony didn't mean to upset you. Tony's sorry" Tony replied softly. He was a bit insecure every once in a while despite his normally large ego. Hulk was saying the right things but Tony was more concerned about his other.

Hulk smiled weakly at him.

"Hulk still sorry. Hulk never want to hurt Tony." said Hulk.

Hulk nodded.

"And Hulk love Tony." said Hulk.

He chuckled.

"I suppose you do." teased Hulk.

He smiled at him.

"Hulk sorry too. All forgiven right?" said Hulk.

He paused looking around confused.

"So what's a vacation?" asked Hulk.

"Hulk is forgiven, there's no need to be sorry okay?" Tony smiled softly. He felt kind of sorry for Hulk, after all, the hulk was somewhat like a child in many ways. He then beamed as Hulk replied back and was relieved as Hulk was pacified. He then relaxed as Hulk was relaxing. He then nodded "Yep. All good" He then replied "A vacation is where people relax and do fun things. Like swim or eat food they don't always eat because of calories"
