Cheer Up (Willie, Chester)

[Willie]

Chester paused as 90's Kid talking about the first one. He paused grabbing the dvd from Willie.

"Wait. This is Cars 2? Oh my god. That's an awful movie. I don't want to see that again. I'll find something else." said Chester.

He tossed it into the bin looking for something else. He kept looking for another dvd finally spying the Never Ending Story trilogy.

"You know this is false advertising. It shouldn't be called the Never Ending Story. Because it has an ending. Three endings for each film." said Chester.

He paused thinking the first film was good while the sequels were awful especially the third film. But the Neverending Story had some sad moments and he didn't really want to be sad today. He could watch that another day. So he kept looking for more films. He paused pulling out The Wizard Of Oz.

"This is great! I'd love to see this again. A movie that tells you have to go on a journey to kill two evil witches, unmask a fake wizard, and make friends will help you realize you could have gotten home if Glinda didn't want to teach her a lesson. Gee when you think about it she was the real evil witch of the film. With the witches dead and the wizard gone she could take over. How It Should Have Ended was right. Glinda's the real evil witch!" said Chester.

He paused and grinned.

"You know I was in Oz once. I went to the wizard to ask for some change and he didn't give me any. Although I'd have settled for Dorothy's old home. It wasn't like anyone else was using it." said Chester.

He put the DVD into the dvd player and slowly made his way back to the couch. He heard 90's Kid and nodded.

"Yeah. I'm feeling great. Thanks for doing this. You're a good friend." said Chester.

Willie looked surprised as Chester grabbed the DVD and listened to him speak.

"Alright. I guess we're watching that way then. A movie about cars didn't sound that interesting anyway." said Willie.

He chuckled as he talked about the Neverending Story which he agreed with. It did sound like a weird title. He chuckled as Chester talked about the Wizard of Oz deciding on that. The film began with Dorothy arriving with Toto at the farm as she talked with Aunt Em, and Uncle Henry and the three farmhands. She soon fell into the pig pen as Willie watched worriedly.

"She's going to be alright isn't she?" asked Willie.

He sighed in relief when she was rescued and they told her she needed to find some place she wouldn't be any trouble. Dorothy then began to sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." as Willie smiled as Dorothy had a beautiful voice.

"A beautiful song." said Willie.

(ooc: changed the film cause I realized I haven't seen Cars 2 and Chester wants to have fun today so he'd pick movies he likes. And I didn't want to have to watch Cars 2 just to post here. xd)

[90's Kid]

(OCC: Sounds fine to me)

90's kid was quick to see Chester change his mind immediately as he grabbed different movies. "I totally agree dude. We need to think of a better name for this trilogy" 90's kid responded related to the neverending story trilogy. He then saw chester pick the wizard of oz for his choice of movie and 90's kid smiled glad to listen. He laughed as chester told him a little story about when HE went to oz and the surfer boy replied "That's awesome dude. I wish I could go to oz but whatevs" He then sat down and watched the movie and nodded as willie asked if Dorothy was going to be fine "Yeah dude. She's tougher than she sounds or acts. She's cool in my book"

"Eh. I prefer the scarecrow's song better" 90's kid responded about willie's attraction to "over the rainbow". He then turned to chester with a big grin "Awww thanks chester. I'm glad I'm making you glad dude" He then watched more of the movie and moaned in annoyance as Ms. Gultch came into the movie "Oh no. It's miss can'thaveagoodtime again. I can't stand this lady"

[Chester A Bum]

Chester grinned listening to the others comment as well. It was pretty fun watching this movie with friends. He paused listening to Willie nodding.

"Yeah. 90's Kid's right. She'll be fine." said Chester.

He smiled as Willie liked the song. Chester grinned.

"It's the most popular and most remembered song from the film I think. They actually almost deleted it. Which I'm glad they didn't." said Chester.

He grinned to 90's Kid.

"I'm glad you're glad I'm glad. I think. Well we're all glad!" said Chester.

He paused as Miss Gulch came riding her bike. Chester groaned nodding with 90's kid.

"Well the movie needed a villain and she certainly is a villain." said Chester.

He chuckled with the banter her with and Uncle Henry but soon it was to one of the annoying scenes as Chester clenched his fists in anger.

"I can't believe she's trying to take a little girl's dog. Well Dorothy's a teenager pretending to be a little girl in this film so close enough. They could have at least thought to put Toto on a leash or kept him in the house or something. Taking him to the sheriff is kind of cruel. The sheriff wouldn't have heard Dorothy's side of the story and could have killed the dog. How is this fair?" said Chester.

Dorothy slammed the door to her bedroom crying as Toto was now in Miss Gulch's basket.

"Elmira Gulch just because you own half the county doesn't mean you have the right to run the rest of us. For 20 years I've wanted to say what I thought of you. And well being a Christian woman I can't say it." said Aunt Em.

Aunt Em ran into her room and slammed the door.

Chester applauds.

"Everyone should have an aunt like her. She's awesome. Although I wouldn't have been as nice as she was to that witch." said Chester.

Willie frowned watching silently as soon miss gulch left with Toto.

"This isn't right. Poor Toto." said Willie.

He paused grinning as Toto broke out of the basket and ran back towards the farm.

"He got away. He got away!" said Willie, grinning.

He kept watching the movie as soon Dorothy and Toto were running away so she could keep Toto.

"But won't she just be in danger if she runs away on her own?" asked Willie.

[90's Kid]

"Really? I'll bet they felt stupid when they saw how much people liked it. Like "Dude, what the hell? We nearly destroyed our money maker and important part of the film" I mean come on. The song, even if it wasn't the most popular one, would've been harmless" 90's kid ranted slightly. Although he didn't like the song he didn't mind it enough to consider it needing to be gone completely.

"Yay! Happiness for everyone! We'll agree we're just both glad ok homeless?" 90's kid chuckled before groaning in agreement as Chester commented on Mrs. Gultch definitely being the villain "Yeah but she's still a big meanie" He then smiled as Uncle Henry bantered with her but frowned as Dorothy and Aunt em were forced to give Mrs. Gultch to her due to the permit of taking toto away. When Dorothy ran away crying, 90's kid smacked his fist into his other hand "I know! It isn't fair! Toto was acting the way dogs act! If he didn't behave, it could've been easily solved with a leash, man! She doesn't need to kill the poor dude for that. Mrs. Gultch is just being self-entitled and unfair"

When Aunt em stood up against her, 90's kid nodded and whistled "Yeah aunt em! You tell that mean witch.... Wait" 90's kid then nodded as Willie commented all on his own about his reaction to toto's capture then escape. He then saw a scene where Dorothy reunited with toto "Awwww. She clearly loves that dog. Which makes me hate Mrs. Gultch even more for trying to take it from her"

"They'll come back for you again, toto! We have to run away!" Dorothy cried as she packed her bags. "We're running away!"

"Wait... You could just go to the police and tell your own side to the story or you can just let aunt em and uncle henry sue mrs. gultch for private rights. You could still do that back then I think" 90's kid but then he shrugged as the movie continued. Where it lead to professor marvel and his discussions with dorothy including the fake predicition where Aunt em supposedly was sick and had a fatal heart attack due to her grief over dorothy's absence. "Dude. I can't tell whether he wanted to deliberately fool dorothy into believing he was real just to get her home or was just being really mean to her only for the sake of not having a kid travel with him

[Chester A Bum]

Chester nodded.

"I'm sure they did. At least they kept it in. I even heard they tried to get rid of Part of Your World from Little Mermaid too. I don't know why people keep trying to delete good parts of films. And yet leave in really bad parts. Sometimes the whole film is the bad part." said Chester.

He chuckled at that. He grinned as they agreed they were glad everyone was glad. He nodded agreeing with 90's kid about Miss Gulch.

"You know I just realize we never see her again. I wonder if she died in the tornado that comes up later." said Chester.

He paused realizing he spoiled it and covered his mouth turing to Willie.

"Sorry. I forgot this is your first time seeing it." said Chester.

He frowned as Dorothy was soon on the run and she was talking to Professor Marvel.

"I think he just wanted her to get home. I mean he talked to his horse and said he hoped she got home alright." said Chester.

Willie smiled at Chester.

"It's ok. Knowing about the tornado coming still won't change the movie much for me." said Willie.

He also wondered what happened to Miss Gulch but shrugged. If the film had wanted them to know about her they'd have put her in the film later. He watched as the tornado came and was on the edge of his seat as the farmhands got the animals to safety and followed Emily and Henry into the storm cellar. Dorothy and Toto arrived too late as the tornado flew towards the house knocking Dorothy out.

"Oh no! I hope she's ok." said Willie.

Then Dorothy woke up and started seeing random people out the window including Miss Gulch who turned into the Wicked Witch Of The West.

"That's a bit scary." said Willie.

He paused as the house kept tossing and turning and soon they'd stopped and landed in Oz.

[90's Kid]

"It's like Film Producer's have their heads screwed on too tight" 90's kid responded about changing good parts of the film. He agreed with his best friend. He concurred with it actually. Having bad parts stay and good parts go was insane. 90's kid observed the rest of the movie, somewhat concerned about spoiling it for Willie but it seemed the giant was alright with this new information. He was alright with it too. It wasn't entirely important of Gultch's demise. Then Chester responded to his questioning of Marvel's motive and nodded "True. He probably was doing what was best for Dorothy. To stay home"

"Yeah. It's symbolism or somethin', I don't know, it just looks scary" 90's kid agreed as Mrs. Gultch during the twister changed into the wicked witch. The tornado continued and eventually lead to a big halt when Dorothy left her brown-oriented lighted room into a very colorful new world. The land of Oz. "Never gets old. It's so pretty dudes!" 90's kid marveled as the world of Oz was shown to them.

"Toto" Dorothy responded as music played "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore!"

"NO! Really?!" 90's kid said before he could stop himself before rubbing his head. He then saw the munchkins hide and move as they observed Dorothy. Then suddenly Glinda the good witch arrived in a pink bubble. 90's kid pondered "I don't know why. But I have a strange craving for bubble gum right now. And also, Critic probably would be saying his bubbles gag if he was here" He chuckled

"Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" Glinda asked to Dorothy
"I'm not a witch at all. Witches are old and ugly" Dorothy said which lead to the munchkins laughing. Shocked, Dorothy responded "Who was that?"
Glinda chuckled "That would be the munchkins. They laughed because I am a witch. I am glinda. The good witch of the north"
"Oh dear! I beg your pardon! I thought witches were ugly, and you're so pretty!" Dorothy responded, nervous
"Only bad witches are ugly" Glinda responded

"Not true!" 90's kid responded, again before he could stop himself "It's not black and white like that. Lots of pretty babes can be mean. And lots of ugly people can be really, really nice. Don't be so short-sighted, lady!"

[Chester A Bum]

Chester watched the tornado and winced as Miss Gulch turned into the wicked witch.

"You know I've heard some people say that miss gulch turned into the wicked witch of the east. Which would mean they were twin sisters. When Dorothy's house fell there was a witch under it so it would fit." said Chester.

When Chester heard 90's Kid the phone rang. He picked it up as a voice cried out.

"SYMBOLISM!" shouted a voice.

"Oh hi Film Brain. We're watching Wizard of Oz. Oh you're too busy to talk and just felt the urge to shout Symbolism. Ok thanks bye." said Chester.

He hung up sitting back down.

"What a nice guy." said Chester.

Soon they were in Oz as Dorothy walked out. He chuckled.

"You know I just realized Dorothy kills two witches in this film and overthrows the wizard. Shouldn't she be in jail or something? I mean I know no one liked the witches but you think those soldiers would be arresting Dorothy not throwing her a parade." said Chester.

Chester chuckled at 90's Kid mentioned Critic's bubbles joke. He paused as Glinda asked if she was a good witch or a bad witch. Dorothy said she wasn't and glinda said only bad witches are ugly. He agreed with 90's Kid.

"Man this movie is a bit outdated. I've seen tons of films and tv shows with very beautiful evil witches. And even some ugly witches who were good. I guess with only 3 witches in this film she's going back Oz's standards. Not witches in general." said Chester.

Chester paused listening to Willie looking at him in shock.

"Wow. That actually would have made this film more interesting. I mean the two witches are killed and the wizard leaves later. Glinda's the only powerful being left in Oz. She could take over if she wanted." said Chester.

Willie watched amused at his friends talking about the film. When Film Brain called and shouted symbolism that was kinda odd. He shrugged it off as they kept watching the film.

"You two make some good points. Not all good witches are beautiful and not all bad witches are ugly. They should have said Dorothy was wrong and that you shouldn't be deceived by appearances. I mean wouldn't it have a been a complete twist if Glinda was the evil witch. Helping Dorothy along to kill her competition?" said Willie.

He paused as the others were silent. Then Chester spoke and he grinned. At least he'd thought of something clever. Then he watched as everyone began singing. They began giving her gifts and confirmed she was really dead.

"Wow it really is a parade. Wait wasn't there two evil witches?" asked Willie.

Suddenly the evil witch appeared in a puff of orange smoke as everyone ran to hide some ducking on the street to cover.

"I thought you said the witch was dead." said Dorothy.'

"That was her sister. The Wicked Witch of the East. This is the Wicked Witch Of The West. She's worse than the other one was." said Glinda.

"Who killed my sister? Who killed the Witch of the East? Was it you?"

[90's Kid]

90's kid pondered about chester's comment about miss gultch and the wicked witch being twins, it made sense in context but his response was faltered by the shocking response of film brain before being hung up. "It makes sense homeless that they'd be twins. Never thought of it" The movie then continued as the three of them watched with insightful comments. 90's kid nodded constantly in agreement and grinned as both willie and chester agreed with his little rant about the beauty of others. He then widened his eyes at Willie's comment about the chance of Glinda actually being the villain if the movie played their cards right "Dude! That'd be awesome and Dorothy having to deal with her later would've made it even awesomer! But the movie is what it is" He shrugged. Then he nodded about chester's comment about throwing a parade "I guess if glinda thinks it's ok then it's ok with all the mindless idiots in this film" He shrugged again

He then jumped as the wicked witch of the west came and he blushed "She gets me everytime with that!" He then gulped as the witch and dorothy talked about the slippers. Then suddenly the slippers were gone and then transported to dorothy's feet "Whoa! How'd that happen? Did glinda do something? Did the slippers just decide to be there? I never got how they got there so fast!" He then gulped again as the wicked witch demanded the slippers only to be denied them by glinda. Then the classic threat came

"Fine. You haven't seen the last of me glinda. As for you my darling, don't bother trying to hide from me, those slippers can't protect you for long so just try and stop me, just try! I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too"

"Why the dog? Toto's not involved. I mean I care about dorothy but the threat of hurting toto is a bit much" 90's kid said as the wicked witch disappeared. Then the movie continued as the munchkins and glinda told dorothy to follow the yellow brick road

"Follow the yellow brick road?" Dorothy asked
"Follow the yellow brick road!" The mayor replied
"Follow the yellow brick road" Said the mayor's assistant
"Follow the yellow brick road!" A munchkin woman said
"Follow the yellow brick road!" Said a random munchkin man

"Follow the yellow brick road!" 90's kid said pumping his fist before seeing the two glare at annoyance. He blushed "Sorry dudes"

[Chester A Bum]

Chester nodded.

"Well the movie doesn't seem to care about Miss Gulch after Toto escaped from her. So I guess it doesn't really matter what happened. She was just a minor villain to get Dorothy out of the way so the tornado could take her I guess." said Chester.

He grinned as the movie continued as he listened to 90's Kid ask about the shoes.

"I think it was Glinda. She did point at her with the wand after all. She probably used some hocus pocus to put them on her feet." said Chester.

He watched as the witch threatened Toto before vanishing.

"Probably cause Toto means a lot to Dorothy. She threatened Dorothy's friends later on in the film after all." Said Chester.

He grinned as they started singing follow the yellow brick road.

"It's cool man. The song is catchy." said Chester.

Then the song turned into you're off to see the wizard as dorothy and toto headed down the yellow brick road with the munchkins saying goodbye.

Willie grinned.

"This story sure is interesting. I wonder what happens next." said Willie.

He watched as Dorothy kept going down the yellow brick road and soon arrived at a cornfield. She was wondering where to go and the Scarecrow started talking with her as Willie watched in surprise.

"A living scarecrow. How cool." said Willie.

He watched as Dorothy helped Scarecrow down and they started talking.

"I'm glad she found a friend who wants to stick by her. You'd think Glinda would have gone with Dorothy. Or at least use that pink bubble thingie to send her to Oz." said Willie.

[90's Kid]

90's kid nodded in agreement as chester brought up it didn't matter since Ms. Gultch was gone by the end. So they continued and nodded as the two kept talking about Glinda then the scene with the scarecrow. Forgetting all else, 90's kid expressed excitement but fist-pumping "Dude! The scarecrow is totally radical!" He beamed as he and dorothy spoke together

"That's strange, how can you talk without a brain?"
"Well some folks don't have much brains yet do quite a lot of talking, don't you think?"

That got a laugh out of 90's kid then the song for the scarecrow happened "If I only had a brain". 90's kid whistled to the tune and started really enjoying themselves when dorothy and the scarecrow went to go get apples. He then snorted as dorothy grabbed a apple but got her hand slapped by a angry tree. Then scarecrow snapped that it wasn't sorth eating due to them having worms, resulting in a little fight. "Get em scarecrow! Darn, they should have those BFGs or something... Oh wait, sorry, this was during the great depression they didn't make em yet"

[Willie]

Chester watched with a grin.

"He sure is radical." said Chester.

He chuckled at Dorothy and Scarecrow's banter about people with brains do an awful lot of talking.

"Yeah. Like politicians. And stupid villains tricked into monologuing." said Chester.

He chuckled as Scarecrow began singing.

"Man I wish these songs could have been longer. They're nice songs but most of them are just so short." said Chester.

He paused watching the trees fight and he frowned.

"Oh god. Wizard of Oz is turning into a horror movie. Run away!" said Chester.

He sighed in relief as they got away from the trees.

"What a bunch of mean trees." said Chester.

He paused realizing the witche was spying on them.

"Wow. She followed Dorothy. She must not have a life at all. Makes you wonder what she did before Dorothy showed up." said Chester.

He paused hearing Willie and chuckled.

"It'll be explained. Don't think too much about it." said Chester.

Willie grinned

Willie frowned at the trees threw apples at Dorothy and Scarecrow.

"That was pretty smart getting the trees to throw apples at them. Wait. I thought he didn't have a brain?" said Willie.

He nodded as Chester told him it would be explained and to not worry about it. Willie watched in shock as they found a Tin Man.

"Wow. A man out of tin? Is it a robot or something?" asked Willie.

[90's Kid]

90's kid couldn't help but giggle at Chester's quip about politicians. It WAS true though... At least according to Linkara and a majority of his friends, 90's kid wasn't very focused on politics. He then saw the movie progress into the trees and 90's kid couldn't help but grin "Yeah scarecrow!" It was slightly obvious that the scarecrow was in fact 90's kid favorite character.

"She's still creepy you gotta give her credit for that" 90's kid replied. He then nodded as Willie mentioned the tin man "Well yeah and no. He's literally made out of tin. Made by a tinsman. A little repetitive dude" He then saw the movie explain it also then show a small song about the tin man wanting a heart. Which causes Dorothy and scarecrow to ask him to come with them to the wizard. Which the tin man accepts. Then the witch appeared

"Oh boy" 90's kid responded.

"You call that long? You've just begun. Helping the little lady along my fine gentlemen? Well you stay away from her or I'll stuff you into a matress scarecrow. And I'll turn you tin-man into a beehive. So scarecrow wanna play ball?" As she said this a ball of fire erupted, causing 90's kid to jolt in surprise. He then grinned as both the tin man and scarecrow laughed off the witch and promised Dorothy that regardless of their wishes being granted, they would make sure Dorothy got to the wizard.

"Awww. That's nice. They're really selfless to want to make sure Dorothy gets to it before they do" 90's kid said. Then the movie progressed and eventually the cowardly lion showed up.

"Yay! Cowardly lion! He's my other favorite! He's really cool!" 90's kid replied
