Hard To Believe (Kim)

[Kim Possible]

Kim nodded.

"Having a positive outlook has helped me out. In more ways than I care to admit. I've come close to dying or losing someone I care about. I may be a teenager but I feel more like I'm 30 sometimes. You know when I started this I expected to do odd jobs as a way to get money. Not become a secret agent. I even ended up in an alternate future where one of my enemies Shego took over the world. People were suffering, enslaved. It was awful. I was able to stop it thankfully and undo that by taking the time machine and stopping Shego before she took over. I fell in love with a robot who was helping Draken and Shego try to take over the world. I've been through so much I should be jaded and cynical and negative. But I had my friends and my family. They kept me going. And now I don't have that support system anymore. I'm grateful I have new friends like you here but it's not the same." said Kim.

She sighed realizing she was starting to cry. She hadn't meant to get so emotional but she really did miss her family, her friends, and especially Ron. She didn't know if she'd ever see any of them again. She wiped the tears from her face blushing a little embarassed.

"Sorry. I guess I just missed everyone more than I realized." said Kim.

Kim paused.

"Maybe. But you won't know until you try. Talk to Linkara and his other friends. Get to know more about him. It wouldn't help to brush up on your science a little. At least enough to impress him and let him know you like what he does." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"I just hope we can get Jasmine back. It all happened so fast. We were running together. That could have been me. Or I could haved been taken with her. We have to get her back. I feel like it's my fault. It's my job to save people and I kept thinking if I was faster I could have saved her." said Kim.

Kim nodded with his words.

"Unfortunately Malachite's one of the most powerful beings in this war. I hear he's immortal and has a ton of magical powers. They thought he died once but apparently he just lost his powers. So maybe the guy just can't die. I hope we can find a way to make him a prisoner at least. Maybe seal him away somewhere so he can't hurt anyone again." said Kim.

Kim smirked as the topic shifted back to Linksano.

"I'm sure they'll be able to help you. I'm sure Linksano can't resist your charms forever. Believe if I was older and single I'd definitely be interested in you." said Kim.

She blushed at those words but she couldn't deny Magnus was a very attractive man.

"Just don't tell Ron I said that if she shows up. Better yet just forget I said that." said Kim.

Kim smiled at him as she felt her embarrassment fade and the rosiness in her cheeks vanished as well. She smiled at Magnus's words.

"I'm glad to help. That's what friends are for. Part of me is glad the only people from my world so far are Lilo, Nani, and Shego. I wouldn't want anyone else I care about to get hurt. But then again I know my parents could help out with the medical staff or helping to invent things. Even my brothers could help despite how annoying they get at times." said Kim.

She chuckled at that. She hoped they were all ok back home without her.

[Magnus Martinsson]

Magnus nodded, understanding why Kim was so optimistic, because she had to in order to continue her job. It was rough for a kid to have such a job like a secret agent. Magnus was actually grateful he didn't have to do the stuff she did. Then Kim began to get emotional, saying she was missing her support system, and Magnus nodded in understanding. Then he hugged her, he didn't want to see his new friend suffer. He was starting to feel that Kim, in a way, was HIS support system now. "There's nothing wrong with missing your family. And there's nothing wrong with not being negative. Be yourself, miss. That's all you can do. And it's worked for you before, it probably will again. I'm sorry nobody in your family or friends are here" He gently looked to her to see if she was ok before continuing to chat with her.

"Alright. I'll get to work on it. I do want to impress him so I probably should do more homework" Magnus replied, a somewhat amused smile back on his features before it disappeared again. "Well it's not your fault first of all, in a battle people are going to get hurt or captured. If it happened so fast, there's no way you could've stopped them. We'll get Jasmine back" He said with a assuring tone

"That's.... for a lack of a better term, shitty. No wonder you guys need all the help you can get. These people are like gods or something. I can't describe them. They're just psychotic and evil people. That's not a person you'd want to have such power" Magnus said, genuinely surprised. He didn't have any idea what he would be dealing with but right now he was getting a few good hints. And they weren't pleasant.

"Well aren't you cheeky?" Magnus responded, patting the girl's shoulder but was nevertheless flattered with her words "You're a sweet girl. I see why Ron is dating you. But thanks, hopefully Linksano will get the message" He then pretended to zip his lips with his fingers "Lips are sealed, miss. Ron doesn't have to know"

"Well it's not bad that you miss your family but it is good that they're not in a situation that's extremely dangerous. If my parents or Wallander were here, I'd be a much more nervous man. I do miss my family but I'd rather have them safe than with me" He responded softly, thinking about his mother all of a sudden, then about his father, than of his past-times with his annoying but helpful friend Wallander.

[Kim Possible]

Kim smiled at him as he hugged her.

"Thank you. I know everyone here misses their friends, their family, and everything else about their old lives. So at least I'm not alone." said Kim.

She paused as the realization sunk in as she felt bad for Ma-Ti. She'd only been here a few weeks. He'd been stuck here for years with no way back home and now he was dead. She hoped he at least found a way back to his world so he could reunite with his dead parents and eventually reunite with his friends. Kim nodded at his words.

"I'm sure you'll do great. Although I think maybe you came on too strong. Not all romances start off when you just meet someone. Maybe you should start with being his friend and go from there. Once he gets to know you more maybe you could approach the topic again. That's just my opinion. I mean I knew Ron since I was a kid and we've only been dating for a few months now. He was like my best friend and now he's my boyfriend. Just don't rush it. If it happens it'll happen." said Kim.

She sighed at his words.

'I hope so. I hope she didn't end up like Ma-Ti." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"Sorcerers, monsters, and even literal gods. And they're getting new recruits all the time like we are. Who knows the full power each army has now? We just have to be prepared for anything they can throw at us now. And I thought the weirdest things I'd see were my super villains and the latest machine or whatever they were planning." said Kim.

Kim grinned at his words.

"I try my best." said Kim.

Kim grinned glad she was cheering him up and he agreed he wouldn't say anything to Ron.

"Thanks. I wouldn't want to make him jealous. Although I suppose I've gotten jealous a few times as well." said Kim.

Kim nods.

"Maybe it is better they're all back home out of harm's way. If any of them were here and they got hurt or worse I'd feel like it was my fault. Even though I know it wasn't." said Kim.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"You're not I assure you. There are plenty of people who feel the same way, your feelings are natural to feel" Magnus replied, reflecting back on himself a little bit. He was immediately beginning to worry about how Wallander was doing without him, probably fine but it still gave him a sense of anxiety. It was natural so he wasn't too unnerved but it wasn't fun being nervous about people you cared about and having them far away.

"Too strong? He barely noticed anything I did" Magnus said, smiling teasingly before growing a bit more serious "Your opinions are very reasonable though Miss. I'll take your advice and be much less pushy about the subject. I think being his friend and getting to know him better might make me and him be more likely to the romance situation. I'll just wait and see, similar to your situation" He confirmed with a light-hearted, easier tone

"She won't. Not with good people like you" Magnus complimented again. He then widened his eyes at the selection of villains and nodded in agreement with what she said "I'm not surprised you're working with literally every possible option. Gods, monsters, strange creatures, man my career sounds much less exciting thanks to this" He smirked again

Magnus chuckled at Kim's response to his teasing, seeing that the future held bright for their friendship. It seemed that way at least to magnus. "I'm sure you don't. Lots of people don't want their partners to be jealous. Don't worry about it. I won't say a word" He then nodded at kim's other comment about family and friends being back home "It probably is better this way. Having them away from battles like this is much less stressful, at least that's the way I see it"

[Kim Possible]

Kim nodded.

"I guess so. Sometimes I wi sh this stupid war didn't happen. But then I wouldn't have met so many great people and animals like you." said Kim.

Kim chuckled at that.

"I suppose so. Perhaps you should just be yourself. Be his friend. Hang out with him. Learn the science stuff. If something happens let it happen naturally." said Kim.

Kim nodded glad he was agreeing.

"Good. And if nothing happens between you two I'm sure you'll find someone else. I think you two would be cute together but don't give up on falling for someone else." said Kim.

Kim grinned.

"Thanks. I hope we get her back soon." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"It makes the villains I usually ran into almost tame by comparison." said Kim.

Kim smiled glad he wouldn't say a word.

"Good. I don't want him to make him upset. Of course I don't know if he'd even show up here. The only one I've seen so far from my world are Lilo, Nani, and Shego. And Shego's one one of the villain armies." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"I guess it is. Most of them usually stayed out of my missions. But there were the few times they actually helped me out. I just miss them. I haven't been away for my family for this long before. I hope they're ok." said Kim.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"This war's bittersweet. You regret the situation but not the people. I'm glad to have met you too" Magnus replied, a soft smile across his face. He then listened to Kim suggest more about how to approach linksano, to allow himself and linksano to befriend one another, get to know each other's interest and let things happen naturally. "Your advice is pretty good, miss. I won't give up nor force it to happen. If there's no connection, there isn't but I won't be so cynical about it either"

"We will. These people, from what I've seen, don't leave people behind" Magnus assured the young woman, his smile slightly increased. He then raised a eyebrow at Kim's comment that her enemies were almost tame by comparison "That bad huh? And what do you mean almost?" He chuckled softly after that.

"Still, I'll keep it quiet. Never know what could happen" Magnus replied about Ron. Then Kim mentioned her family and Magnus nodded in sympathy "I understand, miss. There's nothing wrong with missing them. Times like war tend to do that to you, since it's supposed to be so stressful. Hell, I haven't even fought here yet and I'm stressed out"

[Kim Possible]

Kim nodded.

"The only downside is once we find a way back home we'll all go back home. I just hope we don't forget. I miss my home and my family and Ron. But I wouldn't want to forget this happened either." said Kim.

Kim grinned.

"Good. I think you two could be a good couple. But perhaps he really just needs a friend right now. Get to know him, show interest in his work. He might surprise you and fall for you. But you won't know if you don't try." said Kim.

Kim nodded again.

"It's not just Jasmine though. They have people they've brainwashed and some they have lied or manipulated. There are children in those armies after all. Who knows what they've done to them?" said Kim.

She chuckled as he was surprised at her commets on villains.

"Well they are dangerous and trying to take over the world. But their most of their plans are just so easy to destroy. I come from the same world as Lilo and Nani. One of my villains and theirs teamed up and Lilo helped me stop them. She's tougher than she looks." said Kim.

She grinned at that.

"Thank you." said Kim.

She sighed pulling out a photo of her parents, her brothers, Ron, Wade, and Monique. It had been some party and they'd gotten Wade out of his house for it. She really did miss all of them. She showed it to Magnus and smiled.

'This is my parents, my brothers, my boyfriend Ron, my friend Monique, and my friend Wade. Wade invented all the gadgets for me while I was a spy. I do miss going on missions. Perhaps I could lead a team to spy on one of the other camps. We do need to at least save Jasmine after all." said Kim.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"Me neither, Miss. Forgetting is worse than anything. I'd rather not forget you" Magnus replied with a grin. He wasn't lying either. Kim was without a doubt one of the most sincere, honest, kind young women he's ever known. And she was surprisingly wise for her age. Wiser than a lot of adults, maybe even Wallander.

"You're right. Friendship first then we'll see. Progress things into that" Magnus agreed. He understood Kim's point. Linksano clearly was not playing coy, his personality was just genuinely different from most. He wasn't interested in quick tries to progress romance. If anything, it took a lot of trust. Magnus could respect that.

"If they use brainwashing and torture, probably not a lot of good things" Magnus said, disliking these enemy sides more and more. He felt a urge to go after them. But maybe that was a rash thing and Magnus remembered the last time he acted rash. Although it helped out in the long run, he was regretful of it ever since he did it. Jasmine's capture was probably only the beginning of villainy.

"That little girl helped you out?" Magnus recalled seeing a Hawaiian girl chit-chat with Kim only once. That tiny girl helped a agent? It appeared everyone had potential and was appreciate as such here in the heroes. Both a good and bad thing especially when it came to danger against the enemy.

"Nice family you got here. And Ron seems like a nice kid from his smile. What is that thing?" Magnus immediately pointed to the tiny mole rat(Rufus) in the photo. Still he smiled at the suggestion of a spy team that Kim made "Not a bad idea. Maybe Critic can make one up and assign you to lead it?"

[Kim Possible]

Kim grinned at that.

"I wouldn't want to forget anyone here but it'd be nice to forget some things like the pain and deaths in this war. But I guess you can't pick and choose your memories." said Kim.

Kim nodded glad he was taking her advice.

"Never thought I'd be giving relationship advice to a friend of mine. I hope it works out for you but if you and Linksano aren't meant to be then there's still someone out for you. I know it." said Kim.

Kim sighed at that.

"And lying probably as well. They have children members in both armies. They've lied or manipulated them somehow. I just don't know if we can reach those kids though. They may have already made their choice." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"Yep. Draken and Shego planned to make an evil clone army of an alien that was living with Lilo. Everyone thought he was her dog. Ask Lilo or Nani for the story. They tell it better and it's been awhile since I heard it. She's fought aliens and even helped capture many of them even before I showed up to Hawaii. Sure she had help mostly good aliens but she's definitely not helpless. I underestimated her at first but I couldn't have done it without her. But this is a war so I can understand Nani wanting to keep her safe and out of fighting. I think my parents would probably do the same thing if they were here." said Kim.

She grinned as he complimented her family and Ron.

"Thank you. It's a naked mole rat and Ron's pet. His name is Rufus. Ron and Rufus usually come with me on my spy missions. Sometimes i go solo but usually we're a team." said Kim.

Kim's grin grew as he suggested asking Critic about a spy team.

"That's a good idea. Although it might be good to have some magical members on the team in case we need to teleport away, or need healing." said Kim.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"No. You can't. No matter how much you want to" Magnus shrugged, saddened by the fact pain and problems couldn't be just washed away. He didn't like the fact they were forced to deal with their dead. And wait/fear what was next to come.

"Well your advice is certainly helpful. Truly" Magnus replied. He did feel a bit off having a teenager giving him advice on dating but it never hurt. Teens did know a thing or two about relationships, especially if they were in one.

"Some probably already have by this point. Kids are easy to be fooled and easy to be really stubborn. Some may come but many probably won't and even think we're the ones lying. It's a tough thing for bringing kids back. Especially if they deeply are invested in where they first came from army-wise" Magnus replied. It was sad but true. Some kids would truly believe themselves to be in the right. Maturing and being with people constantly lying to them without their knowledge could easily manipulate and make them believe easily about who was the enemy.

He nodded and listened in awe over the fact Lilo, some small girl, helped prevent a alien crisis from Drako and Shego. It was really crazy. Then the prospect of kids being in war came up again "Probably. I'm no parent but it's not a pretty picture to see your kid fight for their life" Magnus shrugged. He did like kids. Hell he was friends with one but he wasn't a parent.

"Rufus huh? He's actually kinda cute" Magnus said as he observed the naked mole rat. He smiled as the rat was on Ron's shoulder, seeming to pose excitedly for the picture. Magnus couldn't help but like the picture. He then nodded about magical members "Yeah, good idea, magic users are really useful for escape"

[Kim Possible]

Kim nodded.

"Well we can't change things. We just have to make things better for our future. By ending this war." said Kim.

Kim grinned at him.

"I'm glad I could help. Even a little bit." said Kim.

Kim sighed.

"You're probably right. Those poor kids have been manipulated, lied to, brainwashed or whatever they could think of to keep them on their side. Which is odd. I mean it's not like they could be much help in fighting. So why keep kids unless..."

She trailed off in horror at the thought.

"What if they're trying to raise those kids as their own? To be raised evil and bond with them. And then we'll have to hurt, capture or kill people they might consider family to win this war. Those kids will be the ones to suffer the most." said Kim.

Kim nodded.

"I hope we can end this quickly so they don't have to suffer so much." said Kim.

Kim laughed.

"He'd like that." said Kim.

"If only we had more of them. It seems the bad guys have more magical guys than we do." said Kim.
