Puppy Love (Rolly)

"Of course, I'll play anything with you. I love Lucky and Cadpig and everyone fine. But, I would love some one on one play time with you much more. We barely get to play together, just you and me." Rolly said.

[Darla]

Darla wagged at Rolly's acceptance to her invitation for one-on-one playtime. She quickly licked Rolly's cheek and responded "Race you to outside!" She pointed to the big tree "Winner who goes to the big tree gets to pick the game!" She then got ready and she turned to Rolly with a big grin "Ok. On your mark, get set, go!" She then went out the door and proceeded running outside hoping Rolly would catch up with her. She was feeling pretty happy so far.

Rolly smiles and quickly finishes eating and then he runs as fast as he could to catch up to Darla. "I am gonna beat you Darla." Rolly said with a happy bark.

[Darla]

"No you won't!" Darla teased, running even faster with rolly behind. She kept running and laughing, enjoying the bliss of feeling herself again. Rolly usually had that effect on her anyway. She kept racing outside and laughing. She was having fun and barking with happiness.

Rolly tried to push himself by running even faster. He was neck and neck with Darla . Running was never really one of Rolly's strong points however. He soon began to lose speed. But, the minute he did he pushed himself to race even faster and left Darla behind. He was determined to win, for Darla. She probably saw him as special before, but if he won maybe Darla will be even more proud of him. "Okay, buddy, you gotta win this for Darla" Rolly said just loud enough for Darla to hear.

He touches the tree. "I....Wi.......Wi.......Win" He gasped and heaved before falling over trying to get his breathing back to normal.

[Darla]

Darla raced and saw Rolly very determined to impress her. She never needed to be impressed but she admired how determined he was and just continued running. She was enjoying herself but was getting tired but felt the small urge to win. Then Rolly said something to himself that Darla heard. That he needed to win for darla. He really wanted to make her impressed with him. The very notion flattered Darla more than anything. She then saw Rolly get to the tree and fall over trying to get his breathing easier to do. Darla gasped, worried that her little race caused rolly to do too much. She instantly went over, gasping for air herself, and laid down beside rolly. She smiled softly "Goo-good job rolly!" She panted, realizing how tired she was. She responded with a heave "Ar-Are you alright? We didn't go too fast did we?"

" us go too fast?NO WAY!!! " Rolly lied snuggling up close to Darla. " so, Darla I know you said the winner chooses the game, but I want you to choose, all that matters to me is you're happy" Rolly said

[Darla]

Darla wasn't sure if Rolly was telling the truth but him snuggling with her made her not worry so much. She then pondered slightly as Rolly said that he wanted her to choose because all he cared about today was for her to be happy. She then laid down next to rolly and snuggled some more with him, licking his face slightly. She eventually came up with a game that was simple "How about guess who? We haven't played that in a while. This time we have to do famous heroes instead of everybody. That way the game ends sooner and we can play different games"

" that sounds like an awesome idea. You always come up with the most awesomest ideas, Darla. You're great at everything. How about you go first?" Rolly said.

[Darla]

Darla blushed red as Rolly told her that she was always the one to come up with good ideas and that she was so great. It humbled her instead of raised her ego. Someone was so nice enough to say all these things to her. She cuddled with Rolly and licked his cheek before she said "OK. I'll try to go easy first"

She then wagged her tail and puffed out her chest "I'm a superhero dog! I love to save people and I'm very important. My name is related to thunder!" She then laughed, unpuffing her chest and just giggling "Who am I?"

"I think Lucky would appear out of nowhere and slap me across the face if I didn't know this. You're Thunderbolt!" Rolly said with a laugh

[Darla]

"He might but you're nonetheless correct!" Darla said with a giggle herself. She enjoyed this game. She enjoyed playing it with Rolly enough to play it. She giggled some more and responded, wagging her tail in delight "OK rolly! You're turn! Pick anybody you want!" She sat and waited his response

"Hmnmmm.... Famous people huh?" Rolly said trying to think of heroes that he could use. He didn't know too many heroes to tell you the truth.

[Darla]

"It doesn't have to be a hero, rolly. It could be anybody you know who's popular, maybe like Roses from here for example" Darla explained, seeing Rolly was having some trouble. She wanted to enjoy herself but she was more than happy to help explain the game for rolly's benefit. It was hard to think of just heroes, maybe villians or sidekicks or random people would make the decision for guessing easier.

"Okay let me see, someone popular that we know. Oh, I have got one. I walk on 4 legs, I have a dad who's a Prince, and I'm best friends with a rabbit and a skunk, who am I"? Rolly said giving Darla a really easy question.
