Damn it all. Damn, damn, damn it all. The children were so stupid as to risk their own lives and safety, all because they couldn't wait any longer. Although it got them prisoners back, it also cost them a child TO get captured, not to mention Loki couldn't do as much as he could because of the chaotic nature that was the battle this morning. Loki couldn't stick in the same house as Ask Thatguy at that moment, because of all the danger that happened and the god needed to clear his head before he nearly stabbed someone with his spear out of stressful insane rage. Speaking of his rage, it was not calmed by Facilier that was for sure, that blasted mortal got away with MOCKING him. Him a norse immortal god, one of tricks and deceit that was the best of all nine realms! It made Loki wish to just destroy the planet out of his rage. He was breathing heavilly, teeth clenched tightly, hands into fists and it was most likely about to get worse from this, Loki could feel it.
As if his theory came true, he heard thunder, and he looked around and got his spear immediately. He knew what Thunder meant, mostly because he especially knew what followed. Thor

Thor walked along enjoying himself. He was not wearing his armor just a regular black T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and some tennis shoes. He'd been told his armor would be too noticeable so he had to wear normal clothes. The general public in this world were not supposed to know he was Thor to keep the war a secret and to keep them safe. He understood that. It just felt weird to be out of his armor again. The only time he had was the brief time he was human and met Jane and the others. He paused seeing Loki and knew this time it wasn't Hal. This was his brother. He conjured Mjolnir as it flew from its hiding place unfortunately crashing through a window but he needed his hammer. Once it came to his hand thunder cracked as he glared at Loki. He wouldn't let him hurt anyone. He walked cautiously towards Loki.
"My brother I see you have found some new friends again. We beat the Chitauri. We'll beat these two evil armies as well. We should not be enemies Loki. We should be allies fighting to protect Midgard and the Earth from threats. Like we used to." said Thor.
He looked at Loki but from what he could tell Loki was not in the mood to go down memory lane.
Loki's turn was full of haste and suspicion. There was no way Loki was in no mood for friendly chatter, let alone chatter at all. Especially with his former brother now enemy. Thor STILL saw the possible link between them that Loki forgotten about the minute he was in the black abyss. The one where he was alone. Loki's eyes of green looked up the blond up and down, before they narrowed into some sort of hate or anger. Loki saw Mjolnir quickly come by as brash as his brother who was the weilder for it. Loki put one part of his body back in some sort of instinctive defense, completely aware of the hammer's power, the other was near Thor's direction, weary of him. The god of tricks listened to Thor who spoke in some sort of civilized fashion, trying to speak reason even though there was no point. The fool apparently had his memory lost during his travel here Loki thought to himself as the god claimed that they shouldn't fight each other, instead they should reunite and fight againist the evil upon them. Thor was still hopeful for him, the naive fool.
Loki after a while showed his spear, not in a threatening matter quite yet but enough to show thor that he was not very happy to see him. The god of tricks got closer but not enough to freak either of them out "You are a fool to have come to me. That and you are entirely inaccurate of what has happened in the midgardian city of Manhattan. We did not beat the chitauri, You and your allies did and that was only because the forces of the chitauri apparently lacked strength. Then again you were always brash" Here he had a eye roll and looked to the ground before looking at his brother again. The god then sighed but it was very quick and angry "I am in no mood for your preachings. We are no longer allies. I suggest you stop living in the past before you hurt your own sentimental heart"
Loki would've been far more sardonic about the situation before being angry, but today was just not a good day. Normally Loki reacted to negative situations with humor and tricks but when it came to specific situations Loki did show his true colors, such as this one. The god then felt the need to address one more situation, one that especially bothered him "And for the love of Valhalla stop calling me your brother! We never were brothers, your father lied to me. You probably should be angry too but I am sure he told you while I was quote unquote dead" His tone was full of rage now. The god's eyes narrowed, teeth out like daggers, spear in his hand which was so tightly holding it you could see the veins of the god's hand pulsing, his whole body tense with anticipation as if waiting for the dull fool to attack.
"That's what I said. When I said we beat the Chitauri I meant my team and I. I didn't realize I had to be clear with you. You were there after all." said Thor.
He looked at him sadly.
"What went wrong Loki? How did it come to this? You're my brother. I love you. It doesn't have to be this way. Please." said Thor.
He froze as Loki said they were never brothers.
"Not by blood maybe. But that doesn't matter to me. I grew up with you. You're family. You're my brother." said Thor.
He frowned as Loki seemed full of rage holding his spear. He frowned holding his hammer.
"Fine. If I have to beat some sense into you then so be it." said Thor.
He lunged at Loki swinging his hammer ready to attack him.
Loki was so frustrated he was unaware he ignored what Thor said when it came to the events of New York and so he realized that he just repeated Thor, making a mistake with his own words, and the worst part was that Thor called him out on it. The very thought of Thor accurately correcting him caused a sudden hateful look to come across his features, eyes wide with shock but it was downplayed by his angry teeth-showing frown. "I don't need any criticism from anyone! Especially you, I am perfectly aware I messed up my words. You dare correct my own speech again and I will tear out your tongue!" He spoke with a loud voice, almost as if it was the worst crime Thor committed to him. Loki was just not having a good day.
Then Thor changed gears and returned to the reasoning, asking metaphorical questions and begging him. Loki laughed but it was very harsh and quick, as if appalled by his brother's questions. He then shook his head and laughed harder, and the harshness was there and yet it felt as if he was forcing his laugh to be harsh. He then spoke, with hurt evident in his voice "What happened you may ask? What happened was you had to ruin my chance of proving to your father that I was worthy even though I needed no worthiness! What happened was that you fell in love with some pathetic woman and immediately went WEAK! What happened was the fact that your family was never mine, that they LIED to me! What happened was that you changed....." He bent his head down and whispered harshly "And so have I"
He then turned as Thor took in what he said then just defended his adoption, saying that even though they weren't blood, they were still brothers. That was the last straw. He hit a nearby tree with his spear and hissed out "No we are not. Growing up together and being family are DIFFERENT. Don't you get it you idiot?! You may consider me family still but I honestly think you should just give up!" Admittedly he didn't want that to hurt but it did. Somehow Thor's words seemed to get to him, for his face showed more hurt instead of anger as Thor tried to reason with him. His rage was still consistantly there but it seemed the blond thunder god really did care for him enough to still reason. Loki's face widened as Thor said he loved him, realizing that the god never said that to him since his previous coronation. The very words gave the god somewhat of a calm realization and he breathed it in before just shaking his head in disapproval.
Then after all the yelling, Thor threatened to beat sense into him and lunged. Loki, having none of this, very harshly pulled thor upward and kicked him away. Loki shouted norse swear words as well as cries of hatred toward his adopted brother, trying his hardest to ignore the fact that maybe Thor was right. Maybe, undernieth it all, they were still family and that what they were doing wasn't right for either of them. "Well now. I thought you just wanted to talk. Oh pity me huh?!" Loki sarcastically stated, a hateful smile showing on his features as he attempted to stab Thor's abdomen.
Thor smirked at him. They both had tempers and each knew how to push each other's buttons.
"You're right brother. I'll save the criticism for our father." said Thor.
He frowned and shook his head.
"You didn't need to prove anything. Mother and Father love you. I love you. You tried to kill father. You killed me. I should hate you. But I can't. You'll always be my little brother. A brother I want back." said Thor.
He paused as he insulted Jane as he scowled.
"She is not pathetic. My only weakness was being mortal because of our father's punishment. You sent the Destroyer after me. You killed me. If it wasn't for my hammer I'd be dead. Do you really hate me that much to want me dead?" said Thor.
His face and voice betrayed him showing how hurt he had been at Loki's betrayal. He'd tried to hide his feelings before when in public to appear strong. But with Loki he'd always be able to be himself. And today was no different. Thor froze at Loki's tone.
"You're wrong. You're my brother. You're family. I let you rot in that SHIELD prison and then in Asgard after we stopped your plan. But I should have done this sooner. Tried to repair our family. I want you back my brother. And I'm not giving up on you." said Thor.
He frowned when Loki spoke saying they just wanted to talk. Thor smirked.
"Well talking wasn't always one of my strong points. We always seemed to understand each other in battle more." said Thor.
He charged at Loki. He tried to block the spear moving but it still grazed his side. He gasped clutching his side. Their weapons were two of the few things that were capable of hurting a god and even killing them. Was he right? Did Loki still wanted him dead? He didn't have time to think as he dodged another swing of Loki's spear as he countered with his hammer.
Loki's eyes nearly popped out in outrage at Thor's smirk and attitude over his rage over his mess of words. He never enjoyed Thor's sarcastic tendencies and he sure as hell didn't enjoy them now. "YOUR father! Gods damnit! Your father! How dare you continue to run your stubborn mouth?! No-one shall mock me ever again! Not you, not your friends, not your woman, not your father, NO ONE!" He spoke as he kept throwing attacks at Thor. His rage had no time to be quelled at Thor's arrival. If he had time to calm down or simply was with others, Loki would probably be less hot-headed but unfortunately, his adopted brother never ceased to bring out the worst in him. Even if Loki felt some tinge of regret being this angry, he wanted to snap back at Thor's sarcasm but just simply wanted to put Thor's face in his fists and punch the living life out of him. How dare his adopted brother come to him at a time of stress?!
Loki was too outraged to even listen to reason anymore. The fight was on. Thor was too late. He had his chance to leave and now the god was going to either make Thor leave or kill the thunder god trying. So when Thor kept desperately trying to tell him the only reason for his sarcasm and of his coming to Loki was because he still cared. That Odin and Frigga still cared. That thor cared about him. All the objections and denials Thor made was only angering the trickster even more. It made it worse in a way. Loki just responded to Thor's pleas with a simple punch across the face "Silence. You think that sentiment stopped me before but it hadn't and it will not ease my anger now"
Despite the anger, Loki let out a harsh laugh once Thor defended Jane and said the only reason of weakness was mortality. He smirked slightly "But she caused you to feel compassionate for monsters and those humans you call innocent people. She caused you to forget what power and war was supposed to be. She changed your morality. You do not even know she changed you because you are so blind!" He then saw Thor's hurt face as well as a betrayed tone. Thor felt hurt by what Loki did. That caused the god to feel extreme conflict. On one hand he was too angry to care, on the other hand he felt that thor was possibly telling the truth in that he cared for him. Shaking his thoughts away from that he just kept fighting and hatefully hit at Thor more as the thunder god snapped back at his sarcastic comment. He just kept fighting and didn't bother answering Thor's question of did Loki really want him dead. Some part of him felt yes while some part of him said no. It was conflicting to answer.
"Honestly Thor. I am shocked. You would take me down much faster than this. Perhaps I am finally better than you after all" Loki dared, as he clashed spear with Thor's hammer.
"Stop denying the truth Loki. Father and Mother took you in and raised you as their son and my brother. You killed your birth father and tried to kill the Frost Giants so you obviously don't care about them. I want my brother back. The one who would joke around with me, would train with me. Fight by my side. Stop this madness. Please." said Thor.
He dodged the attacks as he looked at him sadly. Loki still seemed to be in denial and refused to help him.
"I was wrong about the Frost Giants. Jane helped me yes. But I figured that out on my own. Father wanted peace and he had it with them. You manipulated me by staging that attack knowing I would retaliate. I was a fool, arrogant. I suppose I should thank you brother. You helped me. Because of you I learned my lesson and will be a good king of Midgard one day. I wanted you by my side. You always were the better planner. Together we could have kept Midgard safe. I wish you'd opened up to me. Or to mother. I had no idea you were jealous of me. Has that jealousy turned to hatred brother? You killed me and if it wasn't for Mjolnir I'd still be dead. I know the brother I grew up with is still in there. And I'm going to get him back." said Thor.
He charged at him again although the earlier blow from Loki still stung on his side. But he wasn't going to give up. He heard Lilo and Nani talk about Ohana recently. That Ohana meant family and that no one gets left behind. And he would do that for Loki. He was angry at what he'd done. Loki had tried to kill him, Odin, the Frost Giant people, Jane, Darcy, Erik, a town of innocent people, and had tried to help the Chitauri enslave Earth. He'd even brainwashed a few people including Hawkeye and Erik. He'd escaped his cell and his punishment by being brought here. But he would find a way to reach Loki somehow. He paused and shook his head.
"I was trying to reach you. That's why. But no more holding back." said Thor.
When he won he would lock Loki up again to keep him safe. And it would keep Jane and everyone else safe from Loki as well. He would try to rebuild their brotherhood once more. Of course that was only if he won. Loki swung at him as their weapons clashed. He swung a leg at Loki's feet trying to trip him up.
Loki, at least that's what he himself thought, wasn't denying anything. He was simply trying to get Thor to stop bothering with him and leave him be. Loki just shook his head violently and shoved Thor away "You are always the stubborn one aren't you?" That was all he could say on the matter. He couldn't really think about this when he was just so angry. He was just so tired of him and his brother being around each other. The two were just very different from the other, both physically and in personality. He then growled and just stared his emerald eyes which pierced as he looked to Thor's bright blue eyes. Even when directly looking at each other Loki couldn't bear it. "Is it madness? Is it really? The only mad thing about this is your constant persistance with me!" He snapped angrily. Loki forced himself to deal with everything Thor was saying. About the frost giants, about Jane Foster, about Thor's experience with earth, about Thor's wish to have the "old" loki back, and that Thor supposed his should've thanked loki for realizing that thor was previously arrogant. He didn't want that to get through to him but the thunder god had a point. Loki did miss the days when the two were children, where he would always look up to Thor for guidence and then proceeding to make mischief. He missed the days where they fought wars or played games, he missed the days where Loki forgot about being the "shadow" to thor. As much as he denied it, Loki too felt not happy with how things became.
"You-You do not understand thor. You really do not understand. I never wanted it to be like this. Fate brought this upon me just as it did you. Who am I to test the fate of my life now? I was born from a race of monsters, brought to a world of arrogant fools. Yes things were good then and mother was good too but who can tell how long love lasts when someone makes just enough mistakes. Love has limits sometimes thor. I refuse to go back to the past anymore, for it was all LIES!" Loki during the first few sentences was sounding rather hopeless and sad, but at the end he once again shouted angerily as Thor charged at him and saying he wouldn't hold back. That was good, because neither would loki. He charged at Thor and clashed weapons and saw his enemy try to trip him but Loki kicked the leg back away. Shoving harder, he aimed a swing right at Thor's face.
"You pretty stubborn too brother. Despite how many times we sparred you beat me. You've beaten me more times than I care to admit." said Thor.
He paused looking at him sadly as he smirked.
"You know since we're being honest I guess I should tell you I was jealous of you too. You defeated me in sparring matches. You were the only who who ever beat me. Whenever we went to battle people asked your advice. You're smarter than me. You made perfect strategies for Midgard. It hurt no one asked for my advice. That I was just thought of the stupid arrogant son. I helped start a war. I tried to make up for it and I think mother and father forgave me. But before I got here father told me the damage was done. Both of us screwed up and neither of us will now be king. My father said he's going to choose someone else but he wouldn't tell me who." said Thor.
He had always wanted to serve his kingdom and to rule it with Loki by his side. His dreams were now shattered. He didn't have the kingdom. He didn't even have Loki anymore. Even if they found a way back he wouldn't rule Midgard. But he would get his brother back. No matter what it took. He paused at Loki snapped at him.
"I'm not the crazy one. I want you back. I want the old days back. We used to laugh. We used to play games. We used to spend time together and look out for each other. I will get you back brother. I will find a way to reach you." said Thor.
He paused as Loki seemed to be silent. Maybe he was getting to his brother after all. Then Loki spoke again.
"It was not! Mother and Father love you. You're their son. And I love you. You're my brother. Everything you've done doesn't change that. Do you know Mother still cries herself to sleep? She thinks I don't know but I hear it. After you fell off the Bifrost that's when it started. When news came you were alive do you know how happy they both were? Do you know why they made sure you would be punished in Midgard? So we could keep you safe. I won't let you hide in anger and jealousy and darkness." said Thor.
He paused dodging Loki's attack and then did something he was sure Loki didn't expect. He pulled him into a hug.
"I'm not giving up on you my brother. I never will. " said Thor.
(OCC: The stuff Loki's saying to Thor is actually his side of what odin said. So both boys can be a bit antsy about Odin's decision of who will be king and to develop a thing for them to reconcile on. Also from what I heard, Odin did technically already decide Thor was going to be the next king after the humbling Thor handled in the first thor movie, but will wait until Thor is completely and utterly ready. So how you respond to Loki is entirely up to you. Sorry if this confuses you)
Loki was admittedly offended that Thor finally admitted to not always being the perfect one. So he said nothing as Thor defended himself, and praised loki, for their past training fights. To be fair, he used his tricks, to be unfair he really did defeat thor more times than expected. He seemed to calm down that is until Thor started admitting, or rather confessing, past problems Thor had with loki. Calling him smart, that many warriors have confronted loki to think of a battle plan, that without his ideas or stradegies the wars they fought would've been finished, that because of Thor's actions Odin was considering not to make Thor king either. At that Loki was admittedly shocked, Odin claimed to loki himself that Thor was going to be king since he changed and Loki's crimes were worse than Thor's. Also Thor was the one everyone looked up to, including himself for a time, and that everyone loved and appreciated, behind Thor's back they bullied him as a child, mocked him when he was a teen but only when he was a adult people started appreciating or respecting him. As such, Loki responded genuinely confused/hurt and to possibly make Thor himself annoyed like he was, he stated "That is not what fa--your father told me. He said the only reason he was going to tell you that he might not is to make sure you learn more or continue your nobility. He already decided you will be the king of asgard. Well it does not matter since I no longer want your throne yet, I wish to fight here and then I will get your throne!" He growled, continuing to fight on.
As Thor snapped back at what he said, Loki did his best to ignore. Lies. They were all lies. They did not love him. They lied to him. They treated him as if he was different despite their proclaimations. Loki just didn't want to hear it. Thor was just trying to get to him. He was trying to make him hesitate like in New York. That would not happen again. He would not be weak. He did seem to be affected when Frigga was mentioned to be sobbing herself to sleep because of him, as shown with a very surprised stare but other than that, his angry state had no changed. He kept fighting. Then without any warning, Thor's strength pulled him into a hug, saying he refused to give up on him and refusing to stop telling him about his love as well as Odin and Frigga's love for him. Loki at first struggled, hitting on Thor's head as if he was five years old once more, swearing at him, threatening him, screaming, kicking but all of it was not from anger, it was from pain and sadness. As the kicking, swearing and hitting increased, so did Loki's sobs. His face started streaming with hot fast tears, and his swearing slowly turned to crying and begging for Thor to stop it and let him go. "Let go of me thor. Please. I cannot take it anymore. You do not understand. I cannot be saved. How can I?" For once in his life, the god of lies no longer had a lie to make. He couldn't say anything after that. His silvertongue indeed turned to lead. After that, his sobs rang throughout the whole forest and eventually, seeing Thor hug tighter, did loki finally allow his sufferings to be shown and the god of tricks hugged his adoptive brother back. He had no other option for Thor was strong but some part of him knew that he just had to stop.
(ooc: Ok. If I got some of the back story wrong sorry about that. I only saw Thor & Avengers once. Guess I might need to watch them again for a refresher. But I figured Thor & Loki both did something wrong. Even if Odin was willing to forgive Thor the Asgardians & Frost Gianta may not. He did banish Thor for his crime after all. Turning around and making him King might cause problems. So making up some stuff i guess that happened after Thor and Avengers to fit what Thor's saying. Especially since thor 2's not canon here.)
Thor listened as Loki spoke.
"You're not the only one who committed crimes Loki. I attacked the Frost Giants and killed many of them. The Frost Giants were grateful I saved them but their king is dead. Both of us killed many of them. There's a rumor the Frost Giants have a new king now. And they said they'd restart the war if I was made king." said Thor.
He paused as Loki said he didn't want the throne until he won here and then he would take the throne. They kept fighting as Thor frowned seeing Loki was trying to ignore him. Then Loki began to protest as he hugged him. He heard his threats and screams and he felt his kicks and hits but he wouldn't let go.
"You're family. My brother. No matter how much you deny it. Not matter what evil acts you do." said Thor.
To his surprise Loki hugged him back and Thor relaxed a little.
"I will do whatever it takes to gain you trust and your forgiveness. I can see I wasn't as good as being your brother as I thought. But I want to make it up to you." said Thor.
(ooc: just realized later threads loki's still mad at thor. so while this affects him i'm guessing loki goes into denial mode again. i suppose the fight just ends in a draw with loki escaping?)
(OCC: No you got the backstory pretty well. Thor DID do wrong but Odin forgave him due to thor's change in character and have already decided that he's worthy of the throne but yes, due to the frost giant attack, making him king now when people are angry isn't a good idea. Thor needs to prove himself a lot more and odin knows he still has a lot to improve. As for Loki's response to this, yes the fight eventually ends in a draw and Loki escapes. The reason I'm making Loki in denial/anger is because he's extremely conflicted. He realizes he still loves thor as his brother and to respond with his realization, he tries to cope with denial and anger. Eventually though, according to Thor's eventual temporary turn to the villains, Loki has to accept that he still cares for thor and his development with thor will change to a fragile brotherhood)
"I know I am not the only one! I am the only one everyone thinks of as a monster and criminal! When you did your crimes on jotunheim, Sif and the warriors three thought of your banishment as wrong. But when I died, they did not care! And even though the new king of jotunheim threatened war for your king-ship they and many others would still support you. If it was me, I can guarantee they would scoff at me" Loki said, anger still in his voice. Sure thor was acknowledging he screwed up but some part of loki was still not convinced. Sif and the warriors three still considered loki to be the one to screw up, not the other way around. It wasn't fair. His anger and hurt was increasing and causing the god to finally release all the built up pain and sorrow he hid for the longest time.
He eventually stopped yelling and continued sobbing, hugging his brother despite every part of him hurting with it. He felt the god of thunder still hug as tightly as before. He just did not want this but he felt such relief doing this. Why? Was thor really and truly right? Did... Did he really still love Thor, his former brother? He was sure Thor still loved him but his own feelings were unknown but this evening was giving him so much emotions that he didn't know he still had.
You're family. My brother. No matter how much you deny it. No matter what evil act you do
"Even threatening you or your woman? You... You just will not give up" Loki asked and confessed, his tone not bitter this time. This time it was sincere and actually filled with sorrow. He really did miss Thor undernieth and thanks to this hug, Loki realized it before he could stop it. Why? Why were these feelings still within him? Why? At these personal inner questions, Loki continued to cry. He couldn't help it. He knew it was purely pathetic but he couldn't help it. He was just so hurt
Thor just hugged Loki tighter as he heard him sob. Thor felt his own tears streak down his face as he held Loki.
"You threatened Jane's life and several of my friends. I hate what you've done. But I could never hate you. You're my brother. It doesn't matter to me that it's not by blood. Father and Mother took you in just like people do here. I think they call it adoptions. You're family and nothing you say or do will convince me otherwise. I'm sure my friends don't agree with me. But this is between the two of us. I want us to fix this. To be a family again. I miss the old days. I miss you." said Thor.
He paused and hugged him tighter.
"Is there really no hope for us to be brothers again and put this behind us? I'll fight you if I have to. But if it came down to you or me then I just want you to know that I can't kill you. I just want you to be happy." said Thor.
Thor stepped back from Loki as he go of Mjolnir. The mighty hammer dropped to the ground with a loud thud. He looked at Loki as Thor wiped some tears from his eyes.
"I know I screwed up as a brother. I want to fix this and make it right. But if it's too late for that and my death will make you happy and bring you peace then do it." said Thor.
Thor dropped to his knees. He was tired of fighting Loki and hurt by Loki's anger and hatred. He had been so arrogant and blind before that he hadn't realized his little brother was hurting. He looked at Loki sadly waiting his decision.
(OCC: A couple more posts of loki with thor then he's gonna run away or say goodbye or something. Cause this is definitely gonna be a draw-battle)
Loki was shocked to hear his brother hated his actions and not for himself. All this time, his own self-loathing assumed that thor did care for him but still hated him in some way like the rest of the asgardians did. Yes, he was aware of his crimes being something people hated him for(Not that he regretted his actions, in fact he thought and still thought what he did was his justified way of trying to be king) and something nobody would forgive him for. So thor telling him that he still cared for him and forgave his actions, was something loki had no idea to expect. Loki's free will then hugged his adopted brother tighter, crying slightly worse than before, enough to start breathing heavilly and sobbing at the same time. Thor... thor really did love him. And he really... he really did still love thor enough to finally give up. Thor's swears that he was not going to give up on him and that people on midgard were given the same thing as he was, what they called adoptions, and that they could still be a family if given a chance by loki. The god of mischief couldn't handle these emotions. He wasn't given a time to breathe. He was sobbing his way out. Eventually his crying ceased and he simply trembled.
Suddenly Thor asked, sorrowfully, if that loki was so determined to stay away from this chance and that thor and he could never be brothers again and if that was so Thor would fight to stop him but wouldn't kill him because he couldn't. Loki was shocked to be out of thor's embrace and instead saw the thunder god surrendered, saying he would rather die to make loki happy than fight anymore. His eyes, which were still streaming with tears and slightly red because of the stinging tears, widened in shock. His older brother was really that determined to show his love enough to leave loki to his fate? A unwise decision but loki's thoughts scrambled with what to do. Now thor was at his mercy and loki could do whatever he wished. Yet Loki didn't know what to do. "Happiness from me is all you truly seek from this war?" Loki mumbled, but it was soft enough for Thor not to hear at all. He spoke it to himself, as if shocked thor would ever do such a thing. Thor really had changed. Thor really was sorry. Loki finally had the opportunity to be treated as thor's equal.
Loki at first did not move, just stared at his brother as he went down to the ground on his knees. If they were in new york, Loki would've been estatic, due to the fact his brother was kneeling before him but now after the whole fight and confession Loki was not happy with the way his brother was forced into this position. All on his own account. The trickster eventually stepped forward and made his spear transform into a sword. A sword that normally was based on decapitating someone. Loki was definitely considering killing him, due to the idea that maybe thor's death would bring him peace. Loki turned around to one of thor's sides and raised the sword but stood still once more and as he held this position thoughts of his past leading up to this point came into his mind. The childhood memories where the two godlings played together, where he and thor got their horses for the first time, where loki helped steal food for thor, where he and thor played with the warriors three around the palace, thor's first coronation, the travel to jotunheim, the fall to the abyss, new york and now. Now he and his brother stood, where loki was now considering to kill thor. Loki realized, finally, that what he was planning to do, he couldn't do or wouldn't ever do to thor.
"You are wrong. Your death cannot bring me peace. Oh norns" Loki said to himself as his hands trembled. Finally, with a loud protest, he threw the sword away and backed away from Thor. Horrified of what he was planning to do, this was the ONLY action against thor he regretted, new york's incident and escape and everything else he could care less about but the chance to kill thor himself was something he just... Could. Not. Do. Loki screamed slightly before turning to his shocked and relieved brother. Loki fell now to his own knees and said, the only comment for Thor to now hear "Brother. I cannot do it. I cannot do it"
