Stick Together

[Patch]

"Perfect! If we spy on them they'll never know! Especially if we're careful!" Patch said in relief. They were finally getting somewhere. He smiled though as Penny nuzzled him back. It meant that she was not completely mad. It meant something else, that she just was expressing concern. That was penny normally tended to do. He then nodded "You're right we do need to be careful. We're on our own for now. Which means we need to be less crazy about our decisions" He sighed and responded to Penny "I promise nothing will happen to me. I'm here to protect you and I'm not going let anything stop me from that"

[Penny]

Penny nodded.

"Yes. We spy but we be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you. I don't want to be alone here. I like Dark Heart and her family ok. But Freckles and the others are at Critic's house. And I don't think I'd be allowed to leave to go see them." said Penny.

She paused as he said nothing would happen to him and he was here to protect you.

"Don't make broken promises Patch. There's no guarantee of anything especially in this war. Just try to be careful. You can't say nothing will happen to you because it could. They kidnapped you once and sure Mechakara was nice to you. But what if they had treated you badly as the other prisoners? What if they decided to kill us? If Mechakara and the others really are brainwashed they won't be able to stop anyone from trying to kill us." said Penny.

She paused wiping the tears away from her face as she shook her head.

"Let's talk about something else. Maybe watch tv or play?" said Penny.

[Patch]

"I know. You're right. I won't do anything stupid. Let's just wait and see" Patch said firmly. He then saw his sister say that even though Mechakara was good but what if by the off chance he wasn't? Or what would happen if they decided to kill them both and that the robots would be brainwashed not to let them live? That caused the boy pup to look down as she began tearing up. He shook his head and was about to change the subject when Penny did that for her. He immediately thought of fooling around. He smirked "Yeah. I think we should play. Like... tickle fight!" He pounced on her and tried to cheer her up by instantly tickling and wrestling his sister.

[Penny]

Penny nodded glad Patch agreed with her. Then the topic changed to having fun and Patch surprised her by pouncing on her and tickling her. Penny laughed trying to get Patch off her. She hadn't had this much in fun a long time though.

"Patch. Stop. No fair." said Penny, giggling.

She eventually pushed Patch off as she got up and grinned.

"Ok. You got me. I needed that. I wish we could play tag or hide and seek but I wouldn't want to bump into one of the others." said Penny.

She shuddered at the thought of getting one of the other members angry or annoyed at them. She paused glancing at Patch.

"You want to play anything else?" asked Penny.

[Patch]

Eventually Penny succeeded in pushing him off and he laughed. He was starting to feel better himself after all the harsh discussions. He then listened to Penny suggest not playing hide and seek or tag because they could get spotted and have either annoyed responses or angry ones. Patch didn't want to get in trouble either. Patch thought and then responded with a grin "We can play pretend in this room. We just make adventures up like being pirates or me being thunderbolt and you a robber. It'll be great. I already got the bark down!" He made puppy barks but then squeaked and he blushed "Well ok, I had it before. I haven't barked loudly in a while. Guess I need to practice later"

[Penny]

Penny grinned as he said they could be pretend as he said they could play pirates or he could be thunderbolt and she could be the robber. He then demonstrated his bark but came out as a squeak and she couldn't help but giggle. It was too cute. Seeing him blush she stopped feeling bad.

"Sorry. You just sounded so cute." said Penny.

She grinned as he said he needed more practice.

"Well I don't really want to be the bad guy though. Maybe we should do something else. Playing pirates sounds fun but we don't even have fake swords or even a ship. Maybe we should just go outside and play tag and keep out of everyone's way. Unless you've got another idea." said Penny.

[Patch]

Patch shrugged as his sister apoligy for laughing at his bark. He didn't want to be cute but he was glad to have amused her. "It's ok. I'm pretty squeaky anyway" He defended, he was fine with penny laughing at him it was better than the majority of the puppies being around and laughing at him like last time he tried for them all. He then nodded as Penny decided that instead of those suggestions, they could go play tag for a while outside and be out of people's way. Patch wagged his tail and responded "No that's a great idea! Playing tag is easy to do and it doesn't bother anybody" He then got out of the bed and responded cheerfully "Let's go outside before anyone spots us!"

[Penny]

Penny nodded. She knew he was upset a little at her comment and would try not to laugh the next time he barked like that. She smiled as he agreed with her as they headed outside to play.

"Cool. So I guess you're it!" said Penny.

She tagged him and took off running as she giggled.

"Try to catch me Patch." said Penny.
