Making It Up To You

[Marzgurl]

Marzgurl sighed in relief. She really didn't want to go back there again. She paused realizing they were at a playground where they'd fought the cloaks the first time. She paused looking around not seeing that mother and daughter around as she took a seat on a bench next to Linkara taking his hand as she sat down next to him.

"I can't believe we're back here again of all places. This is one of the places we battled the Cloaks. And the witch, and them were the protectors of Malachite's Hand. And they're all dead now. Well aside from Suede and Last Angry Geek but Suede joined us and Geek fled. And Jaffers well I don't know what happened to him after he got sent into the sky." said Marzgurl.

She smiled as she thought of the adventure. The ending was sad but Ma-Ti was okay now. But they did have a lot of fun especially dressing in the costumes.

"I remember Angry Joe couldn't even get his line right. His name kept changing as well as the person who he was supposed to be avenging. I'm not sure if he did on purpose or not but it was funny. And dressing up as Princess Monoke was a lot of fun." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

Linkara was worried Marzgurl would be mad being back here now that he knew this was where she fought. He was relieved when she smiled so he thought that meant he was in the clear. He let out a slight laugh at the mention of Joe never getting his line right "He defended himself later saying he did remember just was in the heat of the moment" He began laughing a little but then looked around the playground wondering what else she did.

"What else happened when you were here? You don't have to answer, but if you wouldn't mind..." Linkara teased, smiling all the way. He felt cheerful around Marzgurl

]Marzgurl smiled as she glanced around and chuckled. She heard Linkara and smiled.

"We ended up fighting them all over the playground. It was kinda fun actually. If we were younger and they weren't trying to kill us We probably would have a lot more fun." said Marzgurl.

She paused as she thought of what else happened.

"Well we got interrupted by a mother because her daughter wanted to play here so we were forced to find another playground. And once we got there we gave them the slip not really wanting to fight them again. Unfortunately they got Film Brain and turned him into one of them. We were able to get him back eventually before we rejoined you guys." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

"You're kidding? A mom interupting you. Must of felt humiliating" Linkara said absentmindedly. "I hope she wasn't too hot-headed or anything" Linkara smiled thinking about how hot Marzgurl was in that Monaoke costume and thinking she could be hotter if he saw her fighting. The thoughts vanished though as he remembered that it was a simple stupid plan Critic made that both helped them become closer and get them killed. Linkara scoffed "You think that was bad? We fought a puppet. A cat puppet. And the cat puppet was close to winning if it weren't for us thinking together" He chuckled, as stupid as it was it was fun.

"The only thing I hated about Critic being my leader was the fact he never let me sing. I had so many good choices" Linkara grumbled

[Marzgurl]

Marzgurl chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah. We got lucky and just had to fight the cloaks a couple times. Although we ran into Malachite once. Spoony last the map and Malachite returned it to us. If we'd known he was tracing us through the maps we'd have thrown that away." said Marzgurl.

She sighed there was still some good memories of that quest. She sighed wishing there was a way to help.

"Lupa and Chick told me you guys fought a witch too. Of course she and most of the cloaks got killed by Malachite I think. And they're not the only ones he killed. Jaffers is probably dead since we never saw him after that, and Ma-Ti... Who knows how many people he killed during that quest before he was stopped. And we have to stop him and all of them again. I just wish we knew how." said Marzgurl.

She turned to Linkara and chuckled as he said he didn't let him sing.

"Well you're one of the better singers of our group. I guess he just didn't want to turn it into a musical. A shame you weren't in our group then." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

"Well we didn't meet malachite til we found you guys. We found out his intentions before you but still... Glad he didn't hurt you while I wasn't there. If he did, I'd sock it to him" Linkara may have been Marzgurl's boyfriend but back then they were simply best friends and that still was a tone of loyalty to Marzgurl when it came to Linkara. He chuckled eventually when it came to both the witch and Jaffers "Jaffers was a bit nuts. Well-intentioned but nuts. And the witch was far more threatening than I assumed. I will never take Good witches for granite ever again"

He then turned to Marzgurl and laughed "Yep. I wish I went with you guys. I'm sure you were much more fun. Spoony was the leader I remember. I was so mad that he was the leader there and I was forced with Critic. Well, then again 8-Bit Mickey and Handsome tom gave me good company but it wasn't the same as Spoony or you" He then blushed at the mention of his singing "Well I'm no Harvey Finevoice but I try my best. Wanna hear me now or later?"

[Marzgurl]

Marzgurl smiled and chuckled as they kept talking about their adventures.

"I'm glad everything worked out. We have tons of memories together. Reviewing Cool World together, the brawl, taking over Molassia, searching for the gauntlet, trying to stop the plothole... and now this war. We always seem to have another big adventure coming up." said Marzgurl.

She chuckled as he said Jaffers was nuts and he'd never take good witches for granted again.

"Well good or evil witches are usually powerful. So I wouldn't take any witch for granted especially after that." said Marzgurl.

She smiled as he said he'd wished he come with her.

"You know I kind of wish we'd just stayed together. I mean splitting up didn't really accomplish much now that I think of it. We both just ended up going in a complete circle and got attacked by people who should have been working with us. And we ended Malachite right to what we were trying to stop him from getting. And Ma-Ti and most of that group of witches and cloaks paid the price. I mean only Ma-Ti got a second chance. I kinda feel bad for the rest of them. For centuries that group and their families protected that thing. And because of us most of them are dead now." said Marzgrul.

She hadn't meant for the mood to get so dismal but she had felt guilty for the others being killed. She grinned as the topic changed to Linkara's singing.

"I'd love to hear you sing sometime. Now's good." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

Linkara smiled warmly at Marzgurl's mention of Cool World and smiled wider at her comment of sticking together because of all their adventures. He smiled, holding her hand and responded "If being nearly killed means being near you than I say it's worth it. I mean what kinda guy would I be if I passed the opportunity for THAT?" Linkara winked at her. Now that they knew their feelings for each other Linkara was sure to make sure it was official after this war. "After this war, I'm giving you the best date ever. Like a real date, not a date that's like involved with missing war things. You deserve a lot Marz"

He didn't really say anything after the mentions of Marzgurl's reasonable complaints about splitting teams up. Since it was normally bad for them, due to several bad insidents related to violence and death. He knew the purposes for splitting up, because results did end up better or downright good when split up. More material was covered or taken care of. Linkara said nothing though feeling the same way she did.

He perked up at the mention of him singing now. It was his dream to sing to at least one person. He nodded, clearing his throat for some air. Linkara then sang a few lyrics of John Mayer's Bigger Than My Body. He smiled as he sang, looking to Marzgurl

"This is a call to the color blind. This is a I-O-U. I'm stranded behind a horizon line. Tied up in something true. Yes I'm grounded, got my wings clipped, I'm surrounded by all this pavement. He was into this song. It fit him well during this time. John Mayer was something Todd hated but Linkara felt this song was a good song, a good song with a message for people that could either take it or leave it. And Linkara took it very well. He really enjoyed this song. He breathed a bit before continuing, somehow in his head hearing the tune of the music while singing

He didn't stop there. He was enjoying it. He almost forgot Marzgurl was there. He just wouldn't stop. The song's power took him over, he was of the point of no return.

"Maybe I'll tangle in the powers lines. And it might be over in a second's time. But I'll gladly go down if the flames what it takes to remember my name. To remember my name, oh. Yes I'm grounded, got my wings clipped, I'm surrounded by all this pavement. Guess I'll circle, while I'm waiting, for my fuse to dry. For my fuse to dry. Someday I'll fly, someday I'll soar! Then he snapped out of the song's trance and looked to Marzgurl for a response

Marzgurl smiled at him.

"I agree it was worth it. It's just amusing how many wacky adventures we've had before this war. It's like everything was trying to prepare us for this." said Marzgurl.

She grinned as he said she deserved a real date.

"Well why wait until the end of the war? I mean we don 't know how long this is going to end. Let's go out and have some fun. I don't care if it's going to an amusement park , to Olive Garden, or just chatting with you here in the park. As long as we're together I'm happy." said Marzgurl.

She paused as the topic changed to him singing and smiled listening to him. He was really getting into it and she grinned listening to him. When he finally finished she grinned and applauded.

"That was great. I'm sure you could give Harvey Finevoice a run for his money." said Marzgurl, chuckling.

She paused thinking back to Cool world review and the revealation Holli was here before Roses killed her.

"I still can't believe Holli was in this war. And so far she's the only casualty. I kinda feel bad for her. I mean first she was trapped in a prison capped by that spike and now she died." said Marzgurl.

She paused worried.

"What happens to them if they die here? Does it affect the stories they came from? I mean Cool World isn't a masterpiece but if Holli suddenly vanished from the movie or died people would notice." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

Linkara didn't pay attention to the previous conversations, even though he really felt happy at the fact Marzgurl was just happy to be with him and would do anything with him because she cared about him, nevertheless he liked the fact Marzgurl's enjoyed his singing. He laughed at the mention of giving Harvey a run for his money "Oh boy. Would he be angry, but like I said he's pretty damn good, a lot better than me I'm sure" He frowned about Holli, she was quite frankly so far the only one dead. Linkara rubbed his head in shock, not sure how to feel about it but was extremely worried about what would happen after they died.

"Those are really good questions, Marz. I wish they weren't but they are. I honestly don't know. I may have to study that soon or look it up with Linksano" Linkara sighed, taking his hat off in shock and rubbing his head before putting his hat back on. He turned to Marzgurl and responded "Well one thing's for sure, we'll make sure it doesn't happen again no matter what the aftermath result may be"

[Marzgurl]

Marzgurl chuckled at that.

"Well I won't tell him then. I wouldn't want to make him mad." said Marzgurl.

She paused as he answered her concerns about Holli and what might happen to someone who died here who wasn't from here.

"I guess we just have to protect everyone. I mean most of the bad guys died in their films so I don't know if it would affect them that much. But perhaps we should avoid killing those not from our world unless it's absolutely necessary. At least until we get some clear answers on this subject." said Marzgurl.

She didn't want to end up damaging the multiverse and get a repeat of the plot hole fiasco where their universe had nearly been destroyed or risk changes or destruction of other universes either. She nodded in agreement with linkara.

"You're right. I guess we just have to do the best we can." said Marzgurl.

She sighed looking at Linkara.

"Sorry for bringing this up on our date. I guess just being here got me thinking is all. Maybe we should go somewhere else like grab a coffee or something." said Marzgurl.

[Linkara]

Linkara did think Marzgurl's idea of protecting the people regardless was a good start. He decided to end it the minute Marzgurl said they had to do the best they could. He smiled assuringly when she apoligized for bringing it up. Linkara then made sure to cheer her up, he kissed her hand and responded "Yeah, I was in the mood for some coffee. Let's go get some. I guess the park brings all kinds of memories since we're talking"

Marzgurl nodded as they headed off to Starbucks. She got a drink and a doughnut when it was her turn. She paid for it and took her food heading to a table knowing Linkara was right behind her.

"So how have you been lately? Working on anything new" said Marzgurl.

There were in the same house but they weren't always talking. There was always something to do or someone to help. She was lucky they got to sneak out now and just hang out.

[Linkara]

Linkara was indeed right beside Marzgurl and as the person behind the register took her order, Linkara ordered a cream coffee with a glazed doughnut. Linkara eventually went to a table beside Marzgurl, sitting right next to her, and remembered his plan with Linksano. Linkara let out a sigh and responded with a tad of concern "Marz. I am working on something but I'm not sure it will work. Linksano, Harvey and I are the only ones to know of it so far. I want to tell you about it but because of the chance of it not working, I need you not to tell anyone else ok?"

(OCC: This can be counted as the day Linkara confessed his plan with Linksano to marz. Since it's a different thread and all and the plan mentioning doesn't need to be really off-screen. If not I can edit this to something different)

Marzgurl sipped her coffee as she listened to him. She nodded as he said he was working on an idea but wanted it to remain between her, Linksano, and Harvey for now.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone. What's the idea? A new weapon?" asked Marzgurl.

She was curious. But if it was a failed experiment she could see why they wouldn't want to tell anyone. But if worked she knew they'd tell everyone eventually. She bit her doughnut and took another sip o her coffee as she waited for him to continue. She was curious what it was now that he'd told her. Was it a new weapon? Or some kind of gadget?
