A Robot And His Dog

[Mechakara]

(January 25th. Night. Closed to Mechakara & Patch at least for a couple pages for a reunion before he gets brainwashed anyway. Then open to anyone.)

Mechakara stood in the backyard having scanned the house. Most of the people were asleep. He could just sneak in there and grab Patch. He checked the back door finding it unlocked. Those heroic fools were far too trusting or maybe some idiot left it unlocked. Either way he had a wa in. He crept quietly into the house and was soon in the living room. He then heard footsteps. If it was Linkara he knew he was in for a fight. But if it was one of the others he could easily pass for Linkara. After all he'd been in that space ship for them for days before Lupa and Jew Wario had figured out his plan. Surely he could fool them again for a little while.

[Patch]

Meanwhile, Patch was at first fast asleep in Maleficent's guest room, the house was full of people and Patch was now was used to this place again as of the moment, so he slept there. He stirred though hearing a person walking downstairs, he yawned loudly before getting off the bed, ever so curiously. He patted down the stairs to find a man who looked extremely similiar to Linkara. So, Patch felt it was Linkara at first

"Hey linkara. Did you see anything outside?" He asked tiredly

[Mechakara]

Mechakara turned hearing Patch, shutting off his mettallic voice to sound like Linkara for now. He smiled walking forward and petting the dog. He smiled seeing Patch still wearing his collar. He guessed they didn't have any spares here. He was glad Patch had something to remember him by.

"No. No one at all. How are you doing? I haven't seen you much since we rescued you." said Mechakara.

He didn't want to scare him into warning the others. As much as he wanted him back he wasn't sure if Patch did. He could grab him again but Patch could wake up the army before he got outside. He'd come here to make sure he was alright and he looked fine. But now he hoped he could learn the truth by pretending to be Linkara.

[Patch]

Patch's tail thumped on the wood, making a soft beat as it thumped. Patch liked the petting, however it felt very familiar, very smooth and calm, but not like IHeart or Maleficent. Someone he got to trust. Shaking the thought of he listened as Linkara/Mechakara asked him how he was doing. Patch smiled tiredly "I've been ok. Maleficent and all the heroes keep a constant watch over me but I can understand that. that and my sister Cadpig has been absent for a while. Ever since I got captured she's been hiding" Patch responded sadly about Cadpig

He then frowned. He was now going to go deep. Normally he'd speak to Maleficent about this but he was deeply concerned over what he though and Critic? Forget about it. He'd think the puppy was braindamaged. He turned to Linkara/Mechakara and responded sadly "Umm. I don't want to freak anybody out cause they may think I'm brainwashed. Can you keep a secret?"

[Mechakara]

"Sure. I won't tell anyone." said Mechakara.

He was surprised at the term brainwash. If he wanted to he could have had Facilier or one of the others use their magic to enslave him. But by doing it his way he'd gotten the dog to trust him or at least he thought he had. Hopefully, now he would find the truth.

[Patch]

"I was captured by Mechakara but honestly... I really don't think he's bad. I think he's seriously misunderstood. I want to be on his side but Maleficent is my friend also. I don't know I care about both maleficent and him along with his nice daughter DarkHeart" Patch confessed to Mechakara/Linkara, unaware that he was talking to the said subject

He breathed before continuing "DarkHeart and he took care of me. They didn't treat me like a prisoner or slave. They cared for me. I should've said something to maleficent but I didn't want her to think wrong things about me" He let out a sigh in sadness as if he was upset about saying his confession so quickly. But it had to be said. Patch turned to Linkara and responded "Tell me you're not mad Linkara, I know he's your main enemy but I really think we shouldn't try to exterminate him"

[Mechakara]

"Really? You didn't mind my company. I mean his company." said Mechakara.

He hoped he didn't catch his slip. However his distraction caused his magical disguise to vanish as his human hand faded away revealing his true metal one. He realized what was going on and knew Patch would find out sooner or later. He turned on his voice again and smiled before speaking in his mettalic voice.

"I was beginning to wonder if you cared for me if it was just an act to keep me happy. Now I'm glad I know for sure." said Mechakara.

If anyone else showed up he could teleport out hopefully with Patch.

"It's good to see you again old friend. Dark Heart misses you as much as I do." said Mechakara.

[Patch]

Patch unfortunately did catch the slip up and before the pup could respond, Mechakara showed himself, or rather some magic wore off to reveal Linkara was not linkara at all. Patch frowned shocked before giving a pleased smile. Mechakara was back! Patch wagged his tail, seemingly oblivious to how wrong this was. He got closer to the robot, allowing the robot to pet him again if he wanted. He spoke calmly "Mechakara. Hi. I'm honestly glad to see you. DarkHeart misses me? That's nice"

Patch turned to upstairs and widened his eyes. As nice as this was, Mechakara if caught, could get in trouble. He responded "It's dangerous here for you. If you're caught, Maleficent will think you're trying to take me away"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded.

"I missed you. I had to come see you. No one's around at the moment. But if they show up I'll leave. I want you to come with me by choice this time. If I take you even if I get away they'll just show up and take you away again." said Mechakara.

He nodded as he brought up Maleficent.

"Linkara and Maleficent doubleteamed me at the house while your pals spirited you away. Dark Heart and I were badly hurt. We almost didn't survive the battle. All I wanted was both of you to be safe." said Mechakara, sadly.

He scans the area again for good measure not seeing anyone awake or nearby for the moment.

[Patch]

Patch's heart dropped to his stomach. Mechakara only came to offer the choice to come with him. The pup was not so sure about that. On one hand he wanted to go, on the other hand he wanted to stay. He responded, feeling extremely conflicted "You... You want me to choose to come with you? I don't know what to say"

He let out a small sigh in sadness though. Mechakara and DarkHeart's condition was told to him by Linkara and Maleficent. It was rather hard for him to hear but he never tended to show it. Patch wanting to be sure about Mechakara's emotions spoke again "You mean it? You really missed me enough to come here?"

[Mechakara]

"Of course I did. I didn't expect it but I consider you a friend. And I don't have many of those aside from Dr. Insano, Black Lantern Spoony, and Judas Liz, and my two daughters. Oh I knew I forgot something. I finished creating Seven. You can meet her too if you come with me." said Mechakara.

He paused as he looked at him not sure what to say.

"If you need some time to think it over I can come back in a couple days for your answer." said Mechakara.

He wanted Patch to come with him now but he probably had friends or family here.

"But if you do come with me I'll make sure you don't have to fight any of them. I understand if you don't want to harm any of them. After all they kept you safe before we met. But I kept you safe while you were there. I know my allies would have killed you eventually. We had Morpheus and Chick. You were just an extra hostage that they didn't need. I'm glad I talked Dark Nella and Ask That Guy into keeping you as my pet. As my friend." said Mechakara.

[Patch]

Patch smiled softly. He was touched. He really believed now Mechakara wasn't who the others said he was. He wasn't cold and heartless, he had one just not visible to many people. Patch wagged his tail at the news mechakara finished creating Seven. He replied "Really! That's great!" He then frowned for in order to see her, he had to leave. He looked up to Maleficent's room. He cared about maleficent and the heroes but didn't want to let the robot, who came all this way, to leave empty handed. Besides, Patch wasn't really a great pet to her, he felt she had diablo and that would totally make her much happier

Patch was conflicted. Mechakara was good to him and if anything went wrong, he would be protected. He was singled out, unlike in the heroes team where he was just simply part of the army, even as he was rescued. Patch replied after a while "Mechakara. I really consider you as a friend myself. Maleficent has diablo and IHeart has Bambi, Spoony has Oreo but you do not have anybody"

He was aware of the risks and was aware of the eyebrows and hatred he may get from this. He was also aware that Maleficent would probably hate him forever but honestly, this felt right. Patch rubbed againest mechakara's leg and replied "I think I should go with you. I'm needed there. Not here"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara smiled at the answer a bit surprised. He'd have figured he needed more time.

"You really want to come with me?" asked Mechakara.

He smiled turning to the door.

"Perhaps you should walk out with me. At least until we're out of sight of this place. If anyone shows up they'll know I'm not forcing you to leave. That you're choosing to come with me." said Mechakara.

He knew Maleficent and the others wouldn't be happy but he didn't care about them. His friend was coming home with him. He was sure Dark Heart and Seven would be thrilled as well.

"Let's go before someone tries to stop us." said Mechakara.

[Patch]

Patch looked to the door, then to maleficent's guest room upstairs, then back to the door. He nodded then quietly, as much as his walking would allow, out the door. Patch walked eventually to outside and awaited Mechakara to follow. He knew this was a risk, he knew this wasn't the greatest idea but he wanted to do this. He felt this was the right thing to do. He wanted to escape without anyone knowing, so it could avoid serious tension. He hoped he and mechakara would succeed. He smiled a bit at the comment of Seven and DarkHeart being happy to see him, he hoped mechakara was right about that.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara smiled walking out with Patch glad he was coming. He followed Patch out the front door, closing it quietly behind him. Soon they were in the front yard and kept walking until they were safely out of sight of Critic's house. He sighed in relief glad they'd left without anyone discovering them.

"When I get home I'll put some safeguards in the home. I'm sure Dark Heart, Seven, Dr. Insano and Dr. Smith will help. No one wants Critic's army charging into the place again. We still haven't fixed the roof yet." said Mechakara.
