Nothing is Impossible (mystery/detective types)

[Basil]

(ooc: June 18th. Morning. open to mystery solvers, detectives, cops, etc.)

Basil walked into the room still amazed at his new height. It was so weird when things looked so gigantic from your old height now looking so normal. He probably couldn't even fit to his old home if he did find a way back. He did miss Dawson, Toby, Mrs. Judson, and the Flavershams. He hoped they were all ok and not missing him too badly. He had arrived the night before and been welcomed by a turtle named after renaissance artist. He smiled hearing footsteps wondering if it would be him or someone else. When several members arrived he smiled at them as they introduced themselves.

"Hello. Thank you for the welcomes." said Basil.

He blinked in surprise at the newest persons to walk in. The guy was a clear fan and Basil found himself pleased.

"I'm always pleased to meet a fan." said Basil.

He walked up to Mike and shook his hand.

Leo walked in spotting their new friend Basil.

"Hey, Basil. You adjusting okay?" asked Leo.

Kim walked out spotting a new arrival.

"Another giant mouse? I saw one in a jumpsuit heading to the garage earlier." said Kim.

She smiled.

"Well, I'm Kim Possible.. Pleased to meet you." said Basil.

Mira walked out spotting the new arrival and some of the oth ers.

"Hello. I'm Mira. Welcome." said Mira.

Mike walked out next and saw Basil. He screamed but not in fear but in awe.

"It's Basil of Bakers Street!" said Mike.

Mike gasped as he spoke to him and Basil then shook his hand.

"First Sherlock, then Batman, and now Basil." said MMike.

When Bruce walked in Mike blushed at his words.

"I can't help it. You guys were my idols and made me want to become a detective. I never thought I'd get to meet any of you let alone date one." said Mike.

Bruce walked in with a grin.

"I see you've met Detective Stone. He acted quite similarly when he met me and Sherlock Holmes." said Bruce.

[Master Splinter]

(OCC: I'm assuming it's okay to have Splinter here if not let me know. The rest are indeed mystery solvers/cop oriented characters lmao)

Many members also heard Mike scream, Sherlock Holmes, Magnus, Fred Jones, Velma and Linkara all rushed immediately to hear what was up. Sherlock spoke immediately "Mike is everything alright I..." He then turned to see him react positively as a new member arrived. One by the name of basil. Sherlock couldn't help but smile. He recalled previously that basil was a character mike was fond of and was inspired by. Just like Sherlock himself. He recalled basil being based on him anyway so he wasn't surprised. He then looked basil up and down before giving a approving nod replying "Ah. Basil. I have heard positive things about you. It is always nice to see more detectives here. I am Sherlock. Pleasure"

"A giant mouse detective. Now I've seen everything" Magnus replied, amusedly. He then replied "Hey. Nice to meet you. I'm magnus martinsson. Welcome to the club, basil" He then turned to see everyone else greet him. He smiled a bit, not too bothered by it considering this war had all types of characters come to him. He then looked to see splinter act surprisingly shy, he was normally calm. Magnus didn't say anything though not wanting to cause drama and make Leonardo nervous.

"Jinkies, mike. You scared me. Don't scream like that please" Velma replied unamusedly. She then gave a bright, nice smile to basil "Always a pleasure to see detectives. Considering me and fred are detectives ourselves. I'm Velma Dinkley. Nice to meet you basil. If you need anything feel free to let me know" She then turned to mike and smiled "Oh I know the feeling of being a fan mike. It's always nice to see our idols face to face" She was not going to tell him about her unfortunate occurrence with ben. She had met many fine idols who were very nice to her and didn't want to rain on mike's parade.

Fred came over and crossed his arms while looking at basil in awe "Basil of Baker street huh. That definitely sounds like a detective name if I ever heard one. Next to sherlock holmes obviously" He then offered his hand to shake "Fred Jones. Pleasure to see you basil. And like velma said, we're detectives too. Not to brag obviously but just thought that'd make you feel at home" He then turned to the others to see them talk and he hoped personally that basil would find himself among a good group and be pleasant with them.

Linkara was relieved mike wasn't screaming in fear, but still it gave him quite a shock "On one hand I'm glad mike's happy on the other he scared the beejesus out of me" He then turned to basil with a smile and tipped his hat "Name's Linkara. It's nice to meet more detectives. We could use them" Linkara then turned to mike and replied "You got all your idols. Now we need some of mine or something" He joked, giving a amused chuckle

Splinter was aware of leonardo befriending someone but didn't really get to find out who it was yet. He was quite glad his eldest son was opening himself up and befriending new people, but he didn't really get to figure out who leonardo was befriending due to being asleep the night before. However he then turned to see the friend he was talking to and felt a sudden overwhelming feeling of awe. He looked at basil and was quite shocked at how handsome the mouse was. He was spiffy and had a pretty nice smile, not to mention he just cleaned up quite nice. Splinter had no idea what was making him feel this way but he found a sudden urge to get to know this mouse. He learned quickly though word of mouth from mike and others that his name was Basil. Basil of baker street. He was aware the mouse was younger than him but splinter wasn't entirely concerned. He didn't know what his feelings were entirely but splinter was definitely interested in talking to him.

He went over, slightly apprehensive because he wasn't sure what to say but he didn't want to appear weird with his son there. So he gave a shy, but warm, smile and replied "Welcome Mr. Basil. I see you met my son leonardo. I am Splinter"

[Basil]

Basil smiled seeing a few others arrive.

"So many new faces. I will try to remember all of your names." said Basil

He smiled glancing over at Bruce, Magnus, Fred, and Velma.

"So many detectives here." Said Basil.

He froze as the man introduced himself as Sherlock Holmes. He smiled shaking his hand. He was almost as excited as Mike had been to see him earlier.

"I never got to meet my Sherlock face to face. We lived in the same house but I doubt he knew I was there. Or at least that the mice in London had a similar society to the humans." said Basil.

He grinned.

"It's an honor to meet you. Perhaps we can work together some time." said Basil.

He then smiled glancing at the others.

"So that's Ned, Thelma, Pike, Link, Agnus, Mina, Spruce, and Kin right" said Basil.

He paused grinning at seeing Leo.

"Theo my good turtle. Thank you for the tour." said Basil.

He paused glancing over Splinter and smiled at the rat.

"Your son? That can't be right. I was thinking you were his younger brother." said Basil, smiling at him.

He grinned.

"Well I'm pleased to meet you Splinter." said Basil.

Mike shook his head.

"Whatever." said Mike, mimicking Dr. Dawson.

He chuckled knowing how Basil was with some names. Seeing his reaction with Splinter the one name he did remember besides Sherlock Holmes had him grinning. Looks like another couple was forming in front of theie eyes.

Kim tried no to laugh as Basil butchered pretty much everyone's names.

"It's Kim but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it." said Kim.

Mira raised an eyebrow not that impressed this detective couldn't remember their names.

Bruce was also amused and shook his head accepting Mike's response as guessing it was just something of Basil's.

Leo sighed as Basil got his name wrong.

"It's Leo. But it's alright." said Leo.

He paused watching how shy Splinter was around Basil and seeing the mouse smile at seeing him. When Basil spoke he felt awkward like he was watching his parents flirting or something.

[Master Splinter]

Linkara like mira wasn't exactly happy with having his name butchered. If anything he was a tad annoyed at the incorrect name but he forced his ego down, realizing basil overall meant well. He shook his head and replied "Close enough man" He then saw mike was amused with it, and considering he was a fan of basil this was a clearly established thing. He then replied "Anyway. Make yourself at home. If you have questions now feel free to ask"

Velma and Fred looked at each other in both amusement and surprise as basil got their names wrong. But they didn't take it personally. Fred believed it was nerves while velma believed it was just a lot of names for one person to remember. Then again sherlock took their names straight away. She supposed every detective had a weak part in themselves. She and fred certainly did

"Fred. But it's okay man don't sweat it. You'll get used to it" Fred good-naturedly replied

"Velma. But it's alright. Thelma sounds extremely similar so I don't mind" Velma replied with a smile of her own. She then replied "It is a lot to take in for you I'm sure. Since you, fred and I are all detectives if you need a hand with anything feel free to let us know"

Magnus was the only one not to correct basil. He was aware the guy was new and it was a lot to handle. But he had to correct him eventually. He then shrugged at it and replied "What the others said, you'll make yourself at home hopefully. You need anything let any of us know. We're a team here. And we want to help" He hoped he was being friendly or at least understanding. The mouse seemed quite interested to be here.

Sherlock however was extremely amused, he covered his smile trying his absolute hardness not to laugh. But like kim he failed, giggling a bit. Still he did his absolute best to not allow basil to hear it not wanting to embarrass him. He then forced himself to be serious, mostly to pacify mike and to befriend basil. Any friend or idol of mike's was a friend of his and he wanted to do his absolute best not to be a jerk. He took basil's hand and shook it firmly, a large flattered smile on his face "Well then it is a pity the holmes in your world has not gotten to know you. Allow me to correct his error by proceeding a alliance with you" He then nodded, very interested in this basil's ability. He may not know names but that did not mean basil was useless or even terrible as a detective. If it got mike to be impressed, basil was worth something. Sherlock nodded "Why yes of course. We can indeed collaborate in the near future dear boy"

Splinter meanwhile was a bit too distracted for the moment to notice basil's mistakes. Especially considering the mouse spoke as beautifully as he looked. There was also the fact that basil did manage to get HIS name right. It meant he must've either remembered or tried harder for him. That flattered the rat more than anything. He was even more flattered when basil praised him, saying he looked young. Splinter tried to cover his smile but failed overall, it was nice to be praised, especially by one as interesting as Basil. He then noticed his son look uncomfortable. Splinter wanted to stop this, for the sake of not having his son feel awkward and yet found himself unable to. He gave a soft chuckle and replied warmly "Why thank you. You flatter me Mr. Basil. But no I am indeed Leonardo's father"

He then replied sweetly "I am very pleased to meet you myself. If you should need anything, please feel free to ask me" He tried to leave his sons out of it. One, because it gave him a chance to maybe get some alone time with the mouse and two, it wouldn't make his sons any more uncomfortable. He did feel a tad guilty for somewhat ignoring his son's discomfort but he would apologize to Leonardo privately in the future.

[Basil]

Basil ended up barely listening to the others as they tried to correct him. He was more focused on Splinter and Sherlock.

"I see. How did you end up with turtles for sons anyway? Was their mother a turtle?" Asked Basil.

He turned to Sherlock and smiled at him.

"I am honored to meet you and work with you. I'm sure together we can come up with some really good strategies to take on our enemies. Shame we can't work on a case together but I doubt robberies are going to happen with a war going on." said Basil.

He paused seeing Leo whisper something to Splinter but couldn't make out what it said as Leo was turned away from him. But every family had secrets and he wasn't going to pry. This time. He glanced at the others with a smile.

"Do we have anything to eat? I'm a little famished." said Basil.

He paused hearing a crash and rushed over to help seeing Mike on the ground. He chuckled.

"I don't believe that is how cooking is done." said Basil.

Mike was amused but still a little starstruck at seeing Basil. The Great Mouse Detective had always been one of his favorite Disney movies and now hear he was in the flesh.

"Well, I suppose we could always take care of any crimes if they come up. We'd have to disguise you though. Our human members can blend in a little better but if people saw a human-size mouse running around they may get scared and also expose the war as well.." said Mike.

He paused nodding at Basil's request.

"Of course. Let me go find something." said Mike.

He ran into the kitchen, however, didn't realize the floor had been cleaned and waxed and went sliding into a counter knocking a few pots over onto the ground as he fell over as well.

"I'm okay!" said Mike.

He groaned in frustration as Basil came after him and he blushed.

"Someone cleaned the floors so they're extra slippery. I didn't realize it." said Mike.

Leo was getting less nervous seeing them be together. It was awkward but Splinter had never shown much interest in anyone. He would just try to focus on his father being happy. Besides he was sure it was slightly uncomfortable to see them with their new loves. It was just the five of them for so long. Then friends like April and Casey came into the mix. He paused with a frown missing them both. He hoped they were alright back home. He walked up to Splinter with a grin.

"So should I tell the others they're getting another father soon?" whispered Leo.

He paused seeing Mike run into the kitchen and heard a crash. When Mike said he was okay, Leo shook his head.

"Is everything alright?" asked Leo.

Kim watched amused. Mira was getting less annoyed seeing how sweet the two were.

"It looks like love is in the air." said Kim.

Mira chuckled.

"I guess so. Glad Splinter finally found someone." said Mira.

[Master Splinter]

Splinter was more than happy to have Basil's primary attention. He enjoyed Basil's company already. Splinter listened to Basil's questions and answered calmly "My sons are adopted. It is quite a long story but it is one I am happy to explain if you would like" Splinter replied thoughtfully. He then turned to Leo who teased him a little about having a step-dad. Splinter gave a calm, playful look back as he replied to Leo "Very funny, my son. We just met" He then got concerned as Mike tripped and fell. Others went for him but Splinter went over to and asked "Mr. Stone, are you alright?"

Sherlock was also pleased with Basil's attention. His ego fully enjoyed being praised. Sherlock chuckled as Basil made a slight joke "Indeed. However, there is always a possibility for a case. There is also much work for detectives in a war. I am honored for the chance to work a partnership" Sherlock was missing Watson immensely but he felt that working with Basil might make the pain lessen. Sherlock then widened his eyes and rushed over quickly to Mike. Sherlock worriedly replied "Mike, are you alright?" He then turned to see the floors indeed more waxy than normal. He inspected it, then turned to the crowd, curiously asking "Who was in here last? Who cleaned?"

Fred, Velma, Linkara and Magnus all watched with fond expressions. Basil may have not been perfect but it was clear he was a good person. It was clear he would be of use to the team. Magnus then checked how Splinter behaved and smiled knowingly as did Fred. Velma though went over to help Mike "Jinkies, Mike. Are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself I hope!"

Linkara though answered Sherlock's question "Hm. A couple people said they would. Don't remember who I wasn't paying attention, sorry. It's just an accident Sherlock, we'll just try to make things less slippery in the future"
