What Is This Feeling? (Angry Joe)

(ooc: May 7th. Afternoon.)

Roses walked around the house here for awhile.. She had been lucky to not be in too many recent battles so she was ok. But she knew others had been. Poor Mike had been hurt a little and was blaming himself more than anyone else did. Thor had nearly died before he and Magnus were captured. They'd tried to mad at him but haunted look on Mike's face had taken away all her anger. The guy had almost quit the war blaming himself and tried to leave but they'd been able to convince him to stay. Although she figured it was mostly Sherlock who got through to him. And now she was worried as the villains knew her hideout so having two bases wasn't more of safety but more because the army was just getting bigger and bigger. She grabbed some cold pepperoni pizza from the fridge and a Dr. Pepper. She put it in the microwave heating it up a bit and sighed.

So many of them had gone through a lot since this war began. Some getting nearly killed. Some getting kidnapped. And poor Ma-Ti had gone through some of the worst of it. It just made her reevaluate some things. Like the feelings she'd been denying. Joe had been one of her oldest friends and now that she was hanging out with him so much she'd started to feel something. But she'd denied it brushing it aside not wanting to risk the friendship or him rejecting her. The microwave beeped pulling her out of her thoughts as she took a few bites of pizza not even noticing she was no longer alone.

Like Roses, Angry Joe had to have some self-reflection. Among many things. Like a breather. Due to Thor being captured on Ask Thatguy's side while Magnus was trapped with Bruce at facilier's, things have been tense. Especially with Mike being around. Despite Critic wanting Mike to stay, the leader was not exactly shy about his anger problem. Angry Joe, for once, was the less angry and immediately defended Mike despite anger from others. It was a bad idea sure but Mike meant well and Joe was not one to be judgmental about impulsive decisions. So like roses, he was one of the members in the army to be forgiving and kind to whenever Mike showed up.

Speaking of Roses, Joe had felt much more close to her as the war went on. She was the very definition of kind and sweet. She forgave everyone, yes such as mike, and tended to be the mother of the reviewers some of the time. Joe wasn't blind to her and because of his insecurity, tended to hide his feelings in the rug. But today, he felt a sudden urge to just spit it out already. That was it. Today was the day. He drank some hidden liquor for some liquid courage before racing down to the kitchen to notice Roses. Joe took the deepest breath and replied "Roses, I... I need to tell you something"

Roses paused seeing Joe come in and she smiled.

"Hello Joe." said Roses.

When she heard him speak she looked confused and then concerned.

"Is something wrong? Is it another attack?" asked Roses.

"No! Oh no, no, no! No attack. It's just, I just.." Joe sighed, facepalming before going over to Roses. He sat down, slowly mustering up some courage again. He held her hands and replied "Listen, roses. Ever since we had this war you've been there for me and even before then I always remember you being there for me" He rubbed her hands and replied nervously "And I've been thinking a lot lately. I realized how important you are to me and how much you make my life better"

He gulped again and replied, finally saying what his heart wanted to say "Roses. I have strong feelings for you. I'm in love with you. And I want to be with you" He then awaited her response, hoping that she wouldn't be so angry or annoyed with him. If he hurt their friendship, he'd be absolutely crushed.

Roses sighed in relief.

"You scared me for a moment. I thought something was wrong." said Roses.

When he held her hands she looked confused. She nodded.

"And you've been there for me even before. You're a good friend and one of the best gamers I've played with. I always enjoy your reviews too." said Roses.

Roses blinked as she looked at him in shock.

"You love me?" asked Roses.

She paused for a moment and grinned.

"It's about time. I was starting to think I was going to have to ask you out." said Roses.

She chuckled giving his hands a friendly squeeze.

"I've had feelings for you too. But there were just so many distractions. Like what happened with Holli. I know people die in wars but it shook me for awhile. I mean I've killed people in video games but it's different here you know. I've never had to deal with villains on the regular basis like some of you guys. I just it's something I have to get used to. Even if I don't like it." said Roses.

Joe blushed a little as Roses was relieved, feeling something was wrong. He wasn't always great with words. Especially of strong feelings like this. He felt a little stupid now. But it was fixed a lot by Roses response of feeling the same with him. Then came her realization, he had no more words, only a meek nod confirming her question. He then was shocked to hear her reaction. Joe blushed a beet red, feeling embarrassed for not being faster. But he smiled a lot as Roses responded with mutual feelings.

He then nodded as to why she had been so distracted. He held her hands with evident assurance and replied "Hey, you don't need to worry about that. I understand. Completely. It is different" He then sighed "I mean I could've tried to tell you sooner. I was just so nervous and worried I'd ruin our friendship. I care about you so much roses. I want to make this work. We'll work it out together"

Roses nodded.

"Maybe if I'd had villains of my own or if I'd been sone of your earlier adventures this would have been easier." said Roses.

Roses smiled.

"I was worried about that too. But can make this work and if by the slightest chance it doesn't I want us to still be friends. But I'm hoping that doesn't happen." said Roses.

"Nah, roses, it still doesn't make me feel great to hurt people unless they're hurting someone. It gets easier sure but you still get those moments of doubt. So don't worry about it" Angry Joe said sympathetically. He understood her needs for compassion and sometimes wished he was just as clever about avoiding trouble as she was. He smiled holding her hands tightly as she said she wished for it to work out and stay friends if anything went sour "It won't happen but in the off chance it does of course we'll stay friends. Because I want you in my life regardless roses" He then blushed a bit and decided to take a huge risk. Something he wanted for a long time. He then gave a gentle kiss on her cheek and blushed more "Was, um, was that alright?"

Roses smiled.

"Thank you. I know this won't be easy but we all need to lean on each other." saids Roses.

Roses nodded.

"I guess it can't hurt to try. I wouldn't want to regret it later if we didn't even try." said Roses.

She paused as he gave her a kiss on the cheek and she grinned. She leaned forward giving him a quick kiss on the lips.

"That was great." said Roses.

Joe nodded in agreement at roses' words finding himself kind of speechless. But then she mentioned it was best to try and he replied "Yeah totally. Better to try than not to try" He then was shocked as Roses kissed him on the lips and he blushed brightly. He wasn't exactly expecting it, considering he wanted to go at her own pace now that they were trying. But he found himself a bit happier than he usually was. He then gave her another small kiss and replied "Yeah, that was great" He then held her hands and replied "I'm really glad that this is happening"

Roses grinned.

"I'm glad too." said Roses.

She grinned as he held her hands.

"So what do you want to do? Watch a movie or grab dinner?" asked Roses.

Joe felt a bit stuck on what to do but he felt like having a little dinner wouldn't be a bad idea. He smiled at her and replied "Yeah! Dinner! I'd love to take you to dinner! Let's go to this real nice diner, it has all types of options! It'll be fun" He then got up and got his coat and replied "I mean that is if you wanna go to the diner, we can go some place fancy if you want, I'll get a suit and everything if you want"

Roses grinned.

"Then let's go." said Roses.

She paused with his words and grinned.

"I should probably grab my jacket. And we don't need to go any place fancy. I want to date you, not your wallet." said Roses, teasing him.

She chuckled as she went up grabbing her jacket, phone and wallet from her room and headed back downstairs to rejoin Joe.

"Ready to go?" asked Roses.

Joe was a bit relieved roses didn't really want to go fancy. But a part of joe was committed to at least do one fancy date for her. Someday. But today, being at the diner was his best bet and he was grateful he was romancing someone who was quite modest. Joe smiled even more when she said it was him she was interested in, not money and joe felt even more grateful. He replied "Well then in that case. Let's get to the diner" He then nodded as roses asked if he was ready to go "Yep. Got this too" He then grabbed a teleporter to take them into town, near the diner in question.

*Time Skip*

The teleporter took both him and her to the diner, and he opened the door for her as they entered. He then went to a manager, asking for a nice table for two. The manager got a waiter, who took them to a table, gave them menus and said he would return. Joe looked at the menu in question and replied to her "We got a lot of nice burger specials and soups here. What do you want?"
