Do Spying and Science Go Well Together (Alternate Mallory)

(May 5th. Morning. Natasha/Alternate Mallory meeting thread.)


Natasha sighed as she made her way through the house. Aside from the recent battles where they attacked Facilier's army and then the three armies had fought. People were still recovering from both battles. Some were injured. They'd even gained a member in Thor who was Loki's slave now. She hadn't gotten hurt too badly to her relief. She had scars but she'd covered them with makeup or clothes. She rarely wore her regular purple clothes anymore going for a white T-shirt and blue jeans. She'd adapted to this modern world and now she was just bored. She missed Boris and even Fearless Leader. She'd been here a few months and hadn't really made too many friends. She'd kept to her self for the most part welcoming people when they got here. It had kept her alive as a spy but now things had to change. She saw people being friends and others even becoming couples. And she felt more alone than ever even in an army surrounded by people. She grabbed the remote from a coffee table and turned on the tv trying to distract herself.

Alternate Mallory walked out of his room and walked around. He stopped as soon as he saw Natasha, as he smiled and walked over to her. Alternate Mallory wasn't there long but he knew most people there, even if not all of them. At least not yet. Alternate Mallory saw most of the army members but not all of them, but even then he didn't talk to all of them, so he figured that he should try and change it. He looked around and back over as he continued to make his way over. "Hellp there, I hope I am not intrupting you or anything like that," Alternate Mallory said as he watched her closely. He wondered what would she do or say to it. Alternate Mallory also wondered whether she heard him or not. He also wondered whether she would ignore him ot not. Alternate Mallory was fine with anything or so he told himself as he waited for a reaction of some kind.

Natasha looked up seeing an unfamiliar face and shrugged.

"Not really. I vas just watching the tv. I'm kinda of bored. I've been here weeks and I've fought in a few battles. Been turned into an animal. But I don't really know anyone here that well. Being a spy is kind of lonely life at times. But I always had my friend Boris with me but now I'm here alone. I miss him and my home." said Natasha.

She sighed flipping the channels again before glancing back at him.

"I suppose you're probably homesick as well. Probably everyone here wishes to return to someone or wants revenge or something." said Natasha.

She paused realizing she hadn't introduced herself and grinned.

"I'm Natasha. Natasha Fatale. You're welcome to join me if you like." said Natasha.

Alternate Mallory watched her as he spoke, and then he listened to her. He found her to be rather interesting to say the least. Alternate Mallory looked around as he listened to her, and then he looked back at her. He let her finish before he spoke back to her again. Alternate Mallory lookes at the tv for a bit and back to her, as he smiled kindly to her. He thought that she was beautiful, but said nothing about it, for the time being. Alternate Mallory sighed as he watched her and listened to her. He nodded to her in understanding, as he listened to her.

"Well, that is good to know. It really is good to know that! Alright, that's good as I rathee not interrupt you or anything like that. Aww, being bored isn't good! Is there anything I can do to help you not to be bored? I know how it feels and don't wish it on those I care about. Aww, I have been here less then you and haven't done much but sooner or later it will change, I am sure of it! And what? I am sorry I don't think I heard you right. I heard yoi say that you turned into an animal! I see and same here but now it will change. Now we will know each other which is better than nothing, for sure! I am sure, sorry to hear it. Life of a sceintist and a slider is just as lonely! Me and my wife seperated for good and haven't seen each other ever again. So she is pretty much and ex wife but being without her is fine as she never got me in the first place! I thought she did but guess not. I am rather used to that so! Aww, at least you had him, it is better than nothing. We are both alone here but why not be alone together, in that case? What do you think? I miss home too; to the most part but I haven't been back there for a very long time. I am not even sure that I even remember back home anymore! If at all. I have been a way for many years and I miss there a bit but I love sliding! One day once we leave here, if you want I coulf show you the world by sliding. What do you think? If not then once we win and all, we couls create ourselves new memories here. What do you think about it? Either way, I am sure it will be fun and none of us would ever be bored again,"

Alternate Mallory watched her closely and after that, he listened to her once more. He nodded to her, as he listened to her. Alternate Mallory found her to be a great person to talk to, despite the way that they had met and all. He found anything she said to be really interesting. Seriously interesting and not as a joke. Alternate Mallory hoped that she knew that, but believed that she did know that. He did however, felt bad for her snd hoped to cheer her up, one way or another. Alternate Mallory didn't feel that way towards anyone else, but he did feel that way towards her. He didn't understand that much how he felt about her but he did like it, and wanted to explore it more.

"I am but it is rather different for me. To be honest with you! I haven't been back home for a long time, longer than a year or two, as I lost my home quordinates a long time ago, but it is fine. Even if, some part of me does miss home but I miss sliding more! Sliding from universe to universe I mean. Also, it's not what brought me here, as both things are very different, to be honest with you! Yeah, most likely. For me it is a bit of everything! I want revenge on the other me so. Not a twin persay and not back home but in general! I might want some revenge on my ex wife, but again long story. I dumped her not she me but it was mutual! However, I want home and I want revenge. Plus I want to find myself a better home, I guess you could say! Yet, I am glad we met though. For real, no worries,"

Alternate Mallory watched her closely, as he grinned back at her. He then listened to her once more as she this time introduced herself. Alternate Mallory looked down and back at her, with a smile as he extendes his hand to shake her hand.

"Nice to meet you Natasha Fatale. I am Queen! Queen Mallory but I go mostly by Alternate Mallory or Alternate Quinn. It is a pleasure to meet you, Natasha Fatale! I would definitely love to join you. If you are positively sure that it is altight, as I don't want trouble or anything like that,"

Natasha smiled.

"I'm glad you are here. It can get boring and rather lonely here at times. I vas a spy back in my vorld and I vas alvays vith my friend Boris. But this is the first time I've really been vithout him. I respect this army and vill fight for it as if it vas my home country Pottsylvania in my vorld. But I still miss Boris. I even miss Fearless Leader, and that annoying squirrel and moose." said Natasha.

Natasha chuckled.

"Yes. This var got a bit crazy at times. I've fought animals in my vorld but never thought I'd turn into one. Still a snake did suit me vhile it lasted." said Natasha.

She nodded listening to him.

"Many here are just as homesick as the two of us. I vish we could use that device to bring others here like people from our home. If ve can't return home at least ve could bring home here. But it just seems to bring people at random here." said Natasha.

She blinked as he said he could show her the world by sliding.

"Sliding? Vhat does children's slide have to do vith seeing the vorld?" asked Natasha confused.

She pauased as he explained more about sliding between universes.

"You can travel between universes? Incredible." said Natasha.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Alternate Mallory and I'm glad you vish to join me. I vould appreciate the company." said Natasha.

Alternate Mallory watched her closely and sighed to that. He smiled to her as he spoke and then listened to her once more. "It is good to be here, and good to meet you. I broke up from my girlfriend or was it wife, Wade Wells, as in different once as we didn't fit but You know what? I am more free and I like it! I bet. I know exactly how you feel to be honest with you! Really? I was an inventor and traveller but not anymore. Aww, well you are still not alone, as I am here now! Well, when you hang out with someone it is easier to get used to them, so without them it is  hard but slowly you manage. Well, that is good to hear and same here! As that army is one of the best, is it not? And interesting name for a town, as in your hometown in your world. I bet but over time you will get used to it as you are not alone! I understand you, but it is normal but you either will see them again or will get used to life without them in it," Alternate Mallory said to her. He then put his hand on her shoulder and then moved it away.

Alternate Mallory Spoke again, and then listened to her once more as he continued watching her. "Sounds crazy for sure. And wow really? I have never dealt with it before in my life personally, never knew it was possible until now. And wait what?You were turned into an animal? A snake? That is new and interesting. How did that happen exactly? How in the world did you end up becoming a snake? I really had no idea that it was even possible. Who turned you and why? I went through interesting things but none of those like that.  I never heard of that until now! I went through things I never thought were possible but none of those are anything like what you have gone through. I went through odd things and interesting, and all but nothing like what you have gone through! In some ways what you went through is more interesting then what I went through. Believe it or not," he said to her.  


Alternate Mallory watched her and listened to her, as he wondered what would she do or say next. Then after that he listened to her once more. Alternate Mallory watched her as he listened to her. He wasn't too surprised, not by the fact that many others missed home like them, as it made sense. It would be more surprising to him if no one missed home. Alternate Mallory wasn't surprised also by the fact that the device that brought them there, brought people and such at Random, as it made sense. He understood that happening, especially since his sliding device ended up doing the same thing but then again he missed his time limit more than once, among other things so it made sense that it took him  to places at random. Then again it did that before too but Alternate Mallory could get home then but after that he couldn't. For a long time and then he arrived here, so before not being able to go home, he and his wife got separated for good.


"Well, no surprise there. As that makes a lot of sense! Would be odd if they don't, unless people from they home are here that is. Or if they hated home terribly, then it is different! I bet but things like that are not always possible, unfortunately. Yeah, that would be great but  not always possible! And evidently, as they are not here but maybe if I see the device I could help with fixing it to bring them here too or something like that. Or at least I could try and help with it! I made the device I used to travel with and a device I gave my double for the same purpose, as I was in his earth by chance or was I there just to check on my double, don't remember now," 

Alternate Mallory watched her as he spoke again, and then listened to her as he laughed and shook his head to her. He had a feeling that she might react that way but wasn't sure about it. Alternate Mallory definitely wondered how would she react to what he said and wasn't surprise that she reacted the way that she reacted. He thought it was funny reaction because it wasn't what he meant at all, but far from it. Alternate Mallory didn't say nothing about kids slide, what he did was just called sliding but it didn't surprise him much that she didn't get that, as not many understood that. He didn't blame her for misunderstanding him, as it was confusing and he used to think that too but not anymore, though. 

"Yes, sliding but not like that. It just called sliding! When moving from one world to the next, one universe to the next, from earth to earth it is called sliding! Not a children slide, it is similar name and action but not exactly. It is with a portal and you jump in and get to a new place! It is rather fun but also dangerous, yet it got adventures with it, so it is worth it. Maybe one day if you want to that is, I could show you how it's done! What do you think? Would you like going sliding with me someday? If it would be possible that is, of course, or you rather not, I am really sorry for confusing you, didn't mean to confuse you,"

Alternate Mallory explained to her more about it and nodded to that. As she finally understood what he meant. He smiled at her proudly and nodded. Alternate Mallory was glad that she finally understood what he meant by sliding. He wasn't surprised that she got confused, as it was rather confusing and he understood that rather well, but was glad that she understood him now and was no longer confused by what he had said to her about sliding. Alternate Mallory did feel bad for confusing her so, there was no doubt there. He temporary forgot that she didn't know about that, but he was glad that he was able to explain it all to her, enough for her to understand him and not be confused anymore, or at least not confused by much.

"Yeah, so you don't feel it happen, as you temporary become energy but then when you come out from the other side of the portal/ vortex you are you again. Yet, just temporary you are energy through all the travelling inside it, you move around inside of it but you don't really see it, nor exactly feel it, or not much at least but you grow to ignore it, and not really care about that part! Besides there is nothing to see anyway, so that doesn't really matter one way or another because it's not like travelling by car, plane or a bus, so there isn't really anything to look, so it's like you are sleeping through all of the trip, no more nor less. Also the landing tend to be a bit painful at times but not all the time so, It really is incredible all in all! It's a true adventure, the places I visit are same but also very different too. It is fun to travel like that, as you see more things that way, "

Alternate Mallory spoke again and then listened to her once more. "Pleasure to meet you too, Natasha Fatale. Me too, then again you are worth it! You are way better than my ex any day of the week.  Well, then we both get a lovely company! I am glad you are fine with me joining you so, and trust me, I definitely mean what I say or I wouldn't have said that other wise. Tell me something about you, if you don't mind that is,"

Natasha nodded.

"Well, I'm not sorry you broke up because you seem to be quite well without her. Perhaps she was just holding you back." Said Natasha.

Natasha smiled.

"I hope so. I was always with my business partner Boris and I admit I did have feelings for him that I didn't really act on. I mean if things went wrong I'd really be alone. But in the end, I ended up alone anyway. I mean people here are quite nice but I haven't really clicked with anyone as of yet. Friendship or romantic." said Natasha.

Natasha sighed.

"I don't even know where the device is. For all, I know they don't want to mess with it and risk sending everyone back. Or making the other armies stronger." said Natasha.

Natasha nodded again, curious.

"I see. So you call it sliding. Fascinating. I didn't think jumping between universes could happen so easily. I guess then jumping between universes is common to you." said Natasha.

She paused at his words and shook her head.

"That may not be a good idea. We are in a world where pretty much all of our lives are fiction here. Tv shows, movies, books. You may not even be able to slide out of this world. Or be able to come back. We joined this army to help. If we couldn't come back I'd feel like I was deserting." said Natasha.

Natasha listened to his explanation. She wasn't a scientist so she couldn't completely understand what he was saying. But she got the jist of it and it sounded so incredible to her.

"Well thank you. I'm glad you were brought to this war. It definitely makes this place a lot more interesting. And I was starting to think this was just going to be another boring day. Well until I met you." said Natasha.

She paused for a moment.

"Well, I spent my life as a spy for Pottsylvania. It doesn't exist here. I guess the closest to it would probably be Russia. Boris soon became my partner like I mentioned before and we lead by our leader, Fearless Leader. We all know it's an alias but we don't ask questions about him or his real name. He has a short temper and it's better to stay on his good side." said Natasha.

She sighed.

"But lot of our missions and plans were stopped by a couple of annoying heroes. A flying and smart squirrel named Rocky, an idiot moose named Bullwinkle and their friends." said Natasha.
