(ooc: April 29th. Afternoon. Sarafina bonding with Kiara and could be Nala's introduction thread too if you like.)
Sarafina grinned as they arrived in the woods. She was here to bond with her granddaughter Kiara. She'd felt bad she hadn't spent much time with her since joining here. She was also worried about Scar, Zira and Vitani in Ask That Guy's army that they may target Kiara. She wished more of the pride was here especially Nala. She'd been too focused on healing and training and that had to change. She heard some rustling in the leaves and some sticks snapping. She looked around worried it might be an attack.
Kiara was thankful her mother tended to allow her more privileges than her father. That and she was grateful her mother usually, not always but usually, convinced her overprotective father to lay off. If she didn't, kiara would probably be in pride rock 24/7. She was glad though, just so she could explore, most of the time with timon or pumbaa or the lionesses watching. But for some reason, when her grandmother watched her, it always was a relief. It was almost like Kiara felt independent. So Kiara did adore being with her grandmother, if only because she was one of the few adults that didn't treat her like a baby.
So she was very glad she was getting to resume her time with her grandmother. She saw the older lioness look around and Kiara tried to scare her. She leaned down, getting into a hunting stance, walking quietly. That is until she accidentally walked on some rather fragile sticks. Hearing her grandmother's concern, she resisted the urge to giggle. Then suddenly she gave a loud growl before jumping on her grandmother's leg. Before laughing hysterically "Did I scare you gram?! Did I?"
Nala showed up the day before, but she fell a sleep in the woods and only woke up a few minutes ago. She didn't mean to fell a sleep in a new strange place, but when she arrived despite being confused she over sudden felt tired, so she planned to nap for a bit but ended up sleeping until now. Anyway, as Nala woke up, she looked around lost in thoughts, as she got up, cleaned herself and then she walked around as she tried to figure out where was she. As she heard voices and noises not to far away, she headed over to see who it was and what it was. Nala stopped as she saw two familiar faces. "Mom? Kiara?" she called out to them as she walked over to them. Nala was glad to see them, but also very confused too. "Where are we? What are you two doing here? How did we get here and why are we here?"
Kiara's attention went from her grandmother to her mother. The cub was shocked to see her at first "Mom? Is that you?" She looked the lioness up and down before grinning ear to ear. Kiara leaped with joy and pounced on her mother, hugging as tightly as her body could allow. "Mom! Mom! You're actually here!" The cub started to tear up "You're here!" She sniffed "You have no idea how much I missed you!"
She then heard her mother ask what happened and she replied "Well some machine from some evil scientist took us to a place called chicago. We're here cause the guy he works for wants to take over and he made this whole war. We're in a war, mom" She sighed sadly "It's gonna be a while before we get back home" She then pondered "How long was gram and I gone?"
Sarafina relaxed seeing it was Kiara and chuckled.
"You did startle me my dear. I'm glad you could make it." said Sarafina.
She was taken by surprise looking up seeing Nala.
"Nala!" said Sarafina.
She rushed over to her and nuzzled Nala. She looked down as Kiara explained.
"Yes. We're involved in a war with humans, animals and much more. Scar, Zira and Vitani are here. They're part of one of the villain armies. With Simba not here Scar and Zira will target you and Kiara especially as you're Simba's wife and daughter. Although Scar may come after me because I hurt him in one of our first battles here awhile back. You should be careful while you're here." said Sarafina.
She smiled.
"Well perhaps we could spend the day together here. All three of us. It's been too long since the three of us got to hang out like this." said Sarafina.

Nala smiled as she saw her daughter not too far away. "Yes, sweetheart. This is mom! Of course it is me," she said to her grinning from ear to ear herself as she was glad to see her daughter too. Nala giggled as her daughter did the next thing. As her daughter hugged her as her much as she could, she hugged her daughter back. "Yes sweetheart. I am here! We are together again. I am actually here! It is the real me" Nala said to ber daughter with a smile. She watched her daughter closely as she listened to her and nodded to what she said next. "Yep. I am here my beautifuk daughter," Nala said to her. She watched her daughter and nuzzled her. "I think I can guess. I missed you too, very much,"
She said the next as she looked at her daughter as she listened to her reply to her question and frowned to that. "What? A human created a machine to pull us here? Why for? Who is that human? I would like to make him suffer for doing that to us, as he has no right doing that to anuone. Especially not to us! This place is called Chicago? Really? Interesting. What? Some people are to dense and insane for their own good. War? Just after a while of peace we ended up being pulled into a war? Really? This is terrible. It is a place for anyone! Especially not for us,"
Nala looked over at her mom. She was shocked but happy to see her there. "Mom!" Nala said as she heard her mom speak. She watched her mother and nuzzled her back. "Mom, I thought I lost you and will never see you again. Nala looked between her mother and daughter, as she sighed to that. "This is terrible mom. And What? They are here? So we didn't really get rid of them yet, is that what you are saying? And what? How many villains do we have here exactly? Not 10 or so right? Yeah, I am sure they would too. However, they forget one thing, even if Simba isn't here I am not weak and I will never be weak! If I have to fight them myself I will definitely do that. Well even if he comes for me and my daughter or all of us, he will regret that mom! I promise you that. I will be! And to be fair we all should be,"
She smiled at her mother. As soon as she smiled. Nala listened to her once more."That's a great idea, mom. We totally should do that! Right, Kiara?" She said as she then realized that she didn't answer her daughter on one question. "Oh yeah. Sorry Kiara, sweetheart! I forgot to answer your question, huh? Forgive me. You were missing for a while, actually! I am afraid,"
Kiara gave a smirk as she succeeded in frightening her grandmother before nala spoke to her. Kiara beamed brightly as her mother confirmed herself. She smiled affectionately at her mother as the older lioness praised and affectionately spoke to her. Kiara had more of a bond with her mother due to Nala being not so strict, demanding or pushy like her father. Again, she loved her father a lot, but Nala was her mom and daughters were more likely to get along with their mothers. She then sighed and replied worriedly "Not sure. Some guy named Dr. Insano, working for some guy named ask thatguy. I don't even know how or why they'd do this. But we have a friend named nostalgia critic who will take care of us. And protect us" Then she nodded as her grandmother warned nala about scar and their enemies. But beamed proudly as her mother fiercely said she'd protect them.
"Yeah! We should totally spent the day together! That'll be great!" Kiara agreed to her grandmother's idea. She then nodded as Nala answered her question "Oh it's fine mom, it's a lot to take in here" Kiara then sighed "Well at least we're together mom, that's good"
Sarafina grinned seeing the mother and daughter reunite before Nala noticed her.
"It's good to be together again. All three of us." said Sarafina.
Sarafina nodded sadly.
"It seems even if we die where we came from we can be alive here. I don't completely understand it but it's useful for our army for sure. Several people and animals here were dead before they were brought here. So this war can't be all bad if it's giving some a second chance to live again." said Sarafina.
Sarafina nodded.
"Perhaps one day Simba will show up. Or Sarabi. Maybe even we could get lucky and have Mufasa here too." said Sarafina.
She nodded again.
"I know he will. He may come after me. It's been weeks since the two of us fought but I hurt him." said Sarafina.
She grinned again.
"Good. I look forward to hanging out with both of you today." said Sarafina.

Nala looked at them and smiled at them, well beamed st them at least. She spoke to her daughter and after that, she listened to her once more. Nala slightly frowned when her daughter told her what she knew. "This is crazy. Not you sweetie just the situation is! This doctor Insano is annoying and insane, there is no doubt. He will pay for that and good to know that you have a friend. Nostalgia Critic got us as his friends in that case," she said. Nala watched both as Sarafina warned her and then she said what she said. She meant it just like she meant anything else that she had said.
Nala listened to her daughter as she looked between the two of them. "Alright. It is a deal in that case! We will spend time together for sure. What should we do, though? How about you Kiara pick whay should we do and we shall definitely do that. What do you say, Kiara, sweetheart? Does it works for you?"
She then listened to her mother and beamed at that as she couldn't agree more than she already did. "I agree mom. It is definitely good that we are together again. As I have trully missed this! I missed it very much," Nala said to her mother as she looked between them once more.
She sighed as she listened to what her mother said nect and then looked down and back at her. "Really? Like anyone who died in their worlds can find themselves hete alive again? You mean like Simba's dad, Mustafa or his mom and such? Wait who else is alive here but wasn't before? I don't understand that either and yeah, it is very useful. As long as we get more good guys allies it sure is good I agree! And really?Like who? And that is interesting and new as well. And that is true,"
Nala listened to her mother again and sighed to that. "Perhaps. I hope so! If we are stuck here we will need them! Especially my husband and mate, Simba as I miss him as well as his parents. I am glad I have you both so, as I do need you both like I need them! If they do show up I won't complain about it,"
She listened to what her mom said next and sighed to that. "Well, if he does then he will regret that mom. I am sure but he will regret it! No one will touch my family and get away with that. Just like before! It hasn't changed and it never will change. He can forget it and others like him can forget that too, mom,"
"Me too mom. We both are mom, as that will be fun! I missed that. That shall make up for lost time and get us time together as a family,"
"Oh I know it's crazy, mom. It's by far the weirdest thing ever. But yeah, Nostalgia Critic's a friend for sure" Kiara couldn't agree more with her mother's sentiment on the matter. The lion cub then listened to both her mother and grandmother explain all the people returning, even from the dead, to be here in this war. She then pondered "Well I was about to take a stroll with grammy, maybe we can do that first?" She wasn't too sure but she was glad she was at least given the chance to pick. She then smiled happily "I could practice my hunting skills!" She then listened as Nala mentioned Simba "Yeah, if daddy were here, he'd just get rid of scar like he did before. Daddy's brave like that" That was one thing Kiara admired about her father. His courage.
"Yeah, we're protected anyway, so scar won't even come for you grammy. Don't worry" Kiara was wonderfully naive. Of course she was. She was just a couple. She then beamed brightly "Yeah, a family. We're together. Or all one like dad once told me"
"It is crazy but we've just had to get used to it." said Sarafina.
Sarafina grinned.
"Very good. It's been too long the three of us could hang out like this." said Sarafina.
Sarafina nodded.
"Yes. Mufasa could return. Which would be a blessing. He never got to see Simba grow up or see his beautiful granddaughter. I know he'd be proud of both of you just like Sarabi and I are. I hope Sarabi, Simba and the others are alright back in the Pridelands." said Sarafina.
She sighed.
"Many people, animals, monsters and other types of beings in all three armies died in their worlds before being revived here. I don't know the exact numbers but it seems like a lot." said Sarafina.
Sarafina chuckled.
"No way am I going to let Scar or Zira win again." said Sarafina.
Sarafina nodded.
"Yes we are one." said Sarafina.
She then giggled at the mention of a walk.
"Or we can see if your mother's still pretty fast. Race you to those trees over there." said Sarafina.
She laughed and took off running doubting she'd win but she was just enjoying spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.

Nala listened to her daughter and sighed to that. She looked around and back at her not sure what to think or how to response. Nala let her daughter finish as she looked between her and her mother and sighed to that. She wondered if she would see her mom reaction to what her daughter said, that said that her daughter exgraduated a bit or something but nope. Nala sighed to that. Her daughter did that at times but sure not now so. Nala looked back at her daughter and waited for her to finish before she spoke again.
"It definitely sounds crazy but not your fault. The situation must be crazy for sure! It is by far the weirdest thing ever but if you both say it happened I believe you. Just like I believe if just you said it! And that is good. He got an interesting name so! Nostalgia Critic. That is the name you said right?
She watched her daughter as she spoke again. Nala then spoke a bit with her own mother. She then looked at her daughter Kiara as she watched her for a bit. Nala then looked between the two and sighed to that. She was glad to see them but confused about the situation. Nala didn't blame her mother and daughter for it. She only blamed the one responsible for it but she was still confused by it. Nala then listened to what her daughter said next and nodded to that, as she liked that idea.
"Sounds good to me. If you both want to do that, then I am in! It is up to you both. But if you rather do it without me, go a head! I will wait for you here, in that case. It is completely up to you! Whatever you both wanna do is completely fine by me. We are family and I respect your opions and choices! Just let me know what it is and it will be so. Don't worry about me! I will support you both no matter what, as I love you both very much. So, what is it going to be you guys? Do tell me,"
She looked between them as she waited for a reply. Nala loved them both dearly and therefore she planned to accept anything they decided and wanted to do. Yes, she wanted to spend time with them but they could do so later that day too. It was up to them, or so Nala thought and believed anyway. As far as she was concerned that was the case.
Nala watched her daughter with a smile. As she spoke and then listened to her daughter agaim. Nala watched her daughter closely and sighed to that. She was glad to be with her daughter again and her mother. As Nala loved them more than anything in the world, and she needed them in her life, no matter what. They were her life. Just like Simba was or so Nala herself thought.
"Sounds good. That works for me! But please be very careful Kiara. As we don't know much about this place and the dangers it holds for us! To get to know it all, we need to be from here or be here for a year or two or so, which isn't a case here after all! Right? So we need to be extra careful because of that. So when you hunt be very careful, as I can't and wom't lose you! Either one of you! No matter what, as it will kill me,"
Nala spoke again and then listened to her daughter and nodded to her in agreement. That was so true. Nala couldn't deny that, as that was a fact. Simba was brave and tough like his father, she knew that much. It was why Nala fell in love with him, among other things. Yes, they were set to marry but she fell in love with him and he with her, either way. It was theit style of falling in love but still.
"Yes, that is right. Your daddy and my husband, got it from his dad, Mufasa! Believe it or not. Your grandfather from your daddy's side was very brave and tough too! He taught that and gave that to your daddy. Which worked, as you well know! Like him your daddy too, cares deeply for all of us. My daddy like my mommy are tough and brave too! You got your stubborness and toughness from all of us. Me snd daddy and your grandparents from my side and daddy's, believe it or not! It is the truth. Who knew huh?"
Nala watched and listened to what her daughter said to her mother, and her own grandmother. She just watched them and sighed. If the place was safe as they told her at first, then what her daughter just said was true. If so, then Nala definitely agreed with her daughter on that. Nala believed it was true. If the place was safe for them, then it was safe for that too. Nala had no doubt about it. Other wise the place wasn't safe at all and by what she understood it was.
"Mom, your granddaughter, Kiara is right. Since this place is so safe as you both said, then it means you are safe here from Scar! Unless it's not safe at all, if it's not then why are we even here? We are safe here, so that means you are safe from Scar. And if he ends up coming, let him! Together with that army we will stop him once and for all,"
Nala spoke again as she then listened to her daughter and nodded to that. She agreed with that after all. Even so, Nala missed her husband, Simba. However, having her mother and daughter there, made up for that. Even if just a bit but it was better than nothing, or so Nala thought at least.
"That is right, Kiara. Sweetheart! Very well, glad you remember that. No matter what! Nothing or no one can ever change that. Not even death! Your grandfather from daddy's side and mine might be gone but they aren't forgotten and they are always part of our family, Kiara. Don't you ever forget that,"
Nala looked at her mother and sighed. She looked around and back at her as she listened to her.
"Well, it is usually how things work. Isn't it mom? Since we are stuck here for now we will always have to get used to that. Until we finally get home! Whenever it is. No matter what I know we will get home sooner or later! We need to have faith after all. Don't we?"
Nala looked at them both as she said that. She then looked at her mother again and watched her once more. When her mother spoke again, Nala listened to her once more as she looked between her and her daughter, Kiara and sighed to that.
She grinned to her mother while she listened to her and nodded in agreement to what she said. Nala looked at them both once more and then she looked back at her mother and sighed.
"Yeah, that is right mom. And I missed it! We all missed that. Didn't we mom? Daughter? I think it is a sign that we need to make up for a lost time. What do you guys think? Any ideas what you guys would like for us to do? Kiara deciding is a great idea. Let's take a stroll if you two want to do that,"
Nala listened to her mom after she spoke, as she was shocked about it. However, if the place could bring back the dead, then it definitely made sense. Or so Nala thought, as well as believed. She doubted that the place was picky about whom to bring back and whom not to. Nala knew it was possible but she doubted. Or at least she hoped that it wasn't.
"Wow. Really? Well, if this place isn't picky, then it definitely makes sense. Yes, it definitely would be a blessing! I think my father in law if he was brought back here, would want to get revenge on his brother, Scar for all the bad things he done to him and us. Yeah, which is a shame! If he was brought back here, it would help make up for it. Or most of it, anyway if not all of it! Since, unfortunately, Simba isn't here at the moment. So it would be seeing his beautiful granddaughter and getting to know her! Seeing him again would be great as we miss him. Me and Simba told Kiara about him, so I think she feeels like she knows him and misses him toi in away! But you, me and Simba, as well as dad know him and miss him. So dad is now with him but you get what I mean so,"
"Aww, you really think so mom? I sure hope so. You and Simba's mom are proud of us? That is good to know. We tried to make you all proud of us! However, to be perfectly honest, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you mom! You and Simba's mom are the reason we managed. Dad and Simba's dad before my and his dad died, also helped a lot! Whether they know it or not. And I hope so too mom! I hope we will see them again someday,"
Nala watched her mom and listened to her once more. She looked at her shocked and surprised. Nala had no idea how to react, as she sighed to that. She let her mom finish as before before she herself spoke again.
"Seriously mom? That is interesting and a bit worrying. Do you know how is it even possible? Or no one knows for sure? Sounds like a lot for sure. How do you know that? Well, othet than Scar that is. Did someone tell you? Or did you personally met them and they themselves told you or both? And who told you? Is it still happening or it had stopped? If stopped then how long did it go on until it stopped?"
Nala watched her mom and listened to her. She chuckled too. Nala was proud of her mother. However, she wasn't really surprised by it. Nala would have been surprised if her mother didn't react that way.
"Good mom. And trust me mom, I will definitely help you out with that! Then definitely won't win. As none of us will let them! Would we mom? Even if and when Simba and Mufasa show up here, they will agree with us on it. How can they not? Right? Our enemies can never win. Scar and Zira included, no matter what! We will never let them. We will make them pay for all the bad that they did! Won't we? They will regret ever messing with us,"
Nala listened to what her mom said next and noddes to it. She looked between them with a smile. Nala sighed as she definitely agreed. With what she herself said, with what her daughter and even with what her mom said. What was true was true and that was true.
"That we are and that is what we will always be. No matter what! Those from our family that we have lost are too. No matter what! We are one forever and ever. Nothing or no one can ever change that! As we won't ever let them change. Not that anyone can do that, even if they tried! It is unchangable,"
Nala looked between them and grinned as she heard what her mom said next. She even picked up an eyebrow at that. Nala was tempted to do that. If they wanted to race then they could definitely do that.
"Oh, are you sure about that? Are you mom? We can do that but don't tell me later that I didn't warn ya. As I just did! Those threes over there? You sure about it? Alright lets do this. On count to three! By the way what does the winner gets?"
Nala watched her mother as she did that. She then took off herself. Nala fell slightly but got back up and started to run once more. She she run as fast as she could as she goy to her mother and continued to run. Nala giggled as she did that.
Kiara was glad her mother was taking it well. She was surprised but calm. It was rather not the reaction one would expect. Kiara though didn't mind it and nodded when Nala wanted confirmation of the person's name. She then listened and added only a nod to a majority of what her mother and grandmother talking about. Kiara then turned to Sarafina when she brought up Mufasa and the family. Then she turned to Nala and giggled a little when she was praised for having inherited a majority of her stubborness and sense of adventure from them. She shrugged at that before hearing her mom question about scar "Well we heard it from rumors. It's gotta be true though because Nostalgia Critic never really lied to us before"
"Yeah, they can't stop us! Not with the tough lion family we have! The three of us will beat that old crone!" Kiara growled and pounced everywhere to prove her point. A cub's point of view of a eon old battle between nephew and uncle. She then beamed brightly at the suggestion of a race "Racing? I love to race!" She then listened to her mother and patiently waited to race. She saw her grandmother and then her mother. She laughed with amusement and followed her family not long after "Hey, hey! Wait for me! I should be the fast one!"
"I am glad you are here. That will make things much easier. And more protection for Kiara. Losing Mufasa was hard enough. I couldn't bare it if something happened to either of you. Or Sarafina or Simba or Rafiki or the rest of our herd. But most of them are back home where it's safe so I don't have to worry about them." said Sarafina.
Sarafina chuckled.
"We don't need to hunt much. Nostalgia Critic and his friends supply us with plenty of meat and food. This also keeps the other animals in the army safe from us and other predators. We don't have to hunt other animals out there or animals in this war. We can just eat like everyone else and focus on the war. Although I suppose our hunting skills may get a bit rusty so we may have to practice once and awhile." said Sarafina.
Sarafina shrugged.
"No place is completely safe. Our bases have been broken into before and people have been hurt and kidnapped. They've tried their best and secured the defenses now. But who knows how long that will last?" said Sarafina.
Sarafina nodded.
"Yes. Even though Mufasa has gone to rest with the kings of the past he still watches over us. I think even here. And Sarabi, Simba and the others are keeping the Pridelands safe for us to return one day. I know they miss us as much as we miss them but one day we will return home. I'm sure of it." said Sarafina.
She wasn't sure who she was trying to convince more them or herself. Sarafina shook her head.
"Mufasa was never a vengeful person. I think he would have likely just banished Scar like Simba did to some of Scar's followers." said Sarabi.
She knew they didn't talk much about the Outlanders but with Zira and Vitani here they could be a problem. And adding Scar and the rest of the villains would make things more dangerous.
Sarafina nodded and smiled at Nala and Kiara.
"I will always be proud of both of you, Kiara, and Simba. You are my family and that will never change." said Sarafina.
Sarafina shrugged.
"Side effects from the device that brought us here? Magic? I don't know and I doubt we may ever know the real answer." said Sarafina, about people and animals being brought back to life.
Sarafina grinned.
"Scar and Zira won't know what hit them." said Sarafina.
Sarafina laughed as the race began as she glanced back at Kiara and Nala who were slowly gaining on her.
"I will do my best." said Sarafina.
She chuckled as Kiara said she should be the fast one.
"Why do you think I gave myself a head start?" teased Sarafina.
