A Brave New World (Open)

[Ben Ravencroft]

(ooc: April 5th. Afternoon.)

Ben groaned as he got up and stretched. The last thing he remembered was being sucked into the book and then it had burned. He thought was done for but here he was alive again. He looked around confused and called out for help.

"Hello? Could someone help me? I'm not quite sure where I am." said Ben.

Emperor Zurg groaned as he got up. The last thing he remembered was fighting Team Lightyear. Mira Nova had gotten close to him and they'd fought. Then a portal had opened up and sucked them both in. It appeared she wasn't here. But she might be on this planet. Wherever it was. The chance to take out a space ranger especially a friend of Buzz Lightyear's was too good to pass up. But first he needed to contact Planet Zurg and get some back up. But he frowned as he tapped his console seeing he couldn't get through to anyone. He heard voices as he walked out spying a man.

"Greetings human. I am Emperor Zurg. Could you perhaps tell me the name of this planet? I need to know where I am so I can arrange for someone to come pick me up." said Zurg.

Phil walked out of the house hearing voices and grinned spotting new arrivals.

"Well this changes the game quite a bit. Welcome. Have you come to step up to bat?" said Phil.

Duke Nukem walked out next stretching his arms. He grinned spotting the new arrivals. He chuckled hearing Phil. The baseball references and jokes got annoying sometimes. But it was part of his programming so he couldn't blame Phil for that.

"It certainly does change things. Welcome. I'm Duke Nukem. This is Phil." said Duke Nukem.

[Loki]

"I see we have some new guests" Loki replied, his walk a simple strut towards the two. One that looked a bit like a robot and another who just looked like a ordinary man. Loki looked the two up and down before smiling "Welcome to the world of midgard, earth as some might say. I am Loki of Asgard, I suppose you would like to know why you are here"

"Oy! What's with the new business?!" Rumpleteaser came in with haste. She sniffed Zurg especially before blinking her eyes at him "What are you, some kind of robot?" She then turned to Ben and smiled "Oh good! Something I know! You're a human, rite?" She then turned to Loki who in turn looked to her with suspicion. Rumpleteaser then just went to the side

"Greetings, new folk, I am General Zod. A pleasure" Zod came in with haste. He looked at the two with boldness. "Is it just me or April is just the lovely time for newcomers?" Zod said to himself. Zod then looked to Zurg "You're a general as well? Splendid. We need more of those here. It's lonely for me to be the only general" He said with a evident smile on his face

[Phantom Virus/Phil McLemore]

Ben gasped in shock seeing Loki and listened to everyone. He was confused.

"The last thing I remember was being sucked into my ancestor's spell book. I became a warlock for the first time and tried to take over the world. My ancestor wanted to destroy it so we fought. They trapped her in the spell book but she took me with her. Am I inside the book?" said Ben.

He paused as they said he was on Earth.

"So I've been pulled to a different Earth. How intriguing." said Ben.

Ben paused turning to Loki.

"Great Loki could you train me in magic? I'm still fairly new to it. My ancestor and I didn't agree when I pulled her from her spell book and now I don't even have the spell book. I want to get stronger and help conquer this world." said Ben.

Ben turned to Rumpleteaser and nodded.

"Well I was human once but I'm currently a warlock." said Ben.

Zurg was impressed to see Loki.

"Asgardian royalty. Very impressive." said Zurg.

He paused turning to Rumpleteaser.

"It's armor. It protects me." said Zurg.

He turned to Zod

"I am not a general. I am Emperor Zurg. I have my own planet and army. I would have conquered the universe if it wasn't for those meddling Space Rangers getting in my way." said Zurg.

Phil grinned seeing and chuckled hearing Zod.

"I guess so. I'm just worried about what arrivals the other armies could be getting." said Phil.

Duke Nukem smirked.

"Welcome aboard. And yeah we're stuck here. Well most of us are. A few are from this world." said Duke Nukem.

[Loki]

(OCC: I'm tempted to bring Panini and Mungojerrie here because the thread they were on was ended way too early. But it's from a later time(april 11th). So I guess I could wait for a later thread in the future or I could bring them here..?)

"It appears that magic, from that book of what you're talking about, must of been altered from the transportation device Insano used. Whatever the case, I bid you welcome" Suddenly Loki realized Ben was a warlock, and a warlock who wished to learn more about magic. Loki raised a brow as the man explained he wanted magic for domination but the ancestor he revived was from a older time and wished to destroy the world. And the fact Ben wanted Loki himself to teach him. He chuckled "Well sir, your first mistake is reviving the dead. Times change and some spirits do not adapt. That type of magic is something that must be for very specific purposes"

Loki held his hand out to shake "If you are willing to be my apprentice and listen to all my teachings, I will be willing to be your teacher" Loki shrugged "I already am teaching a few anyway"

He then turned to Zurg with a prideful smile "Ah, you know of asgard?"

"A warlock? Ya look pretty human ta me" Rumpleteaser replied, looking the man up and down. Confusion was in her features. Not getting the difference. She then turned to Zurg who responded it was armor and she widened her eyes and nodded. She then turned to the others and nodded in agreement. Responding with a small smile "Trapped in a world ya can't understand. I wish my brother was here sometimes"

"Ah, was looking forward to having a general. But emperor's are just as impressive if not more" Zod replied, he watched rumpleteaser and Loki interact along with the others. He was slightly bummed but he got over it fast once Phil talked with him. Zod smirked "Let's hope they get more puppies"

[Phantom Virus/Phil McLemore]

Ben smiled.

"I see that now. Although learning from a master like yourself I know I'll be able to be a great sorcerer." said Ben.

He could sense the power within Loki with his limited abilities and he knew he was outmatched. He might never come close to Loki in power or skill but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try to be the best he could be.

Ben nodded shaking Loki's hand.

"Yes. I'll gladly be your student." said Ben.

Zurg nodded as Loki spoke to him.

"Well there are myths in my world. I've never personally met an Asgardian in my universe. I don't even know if they really exist there or not." said Zurg.

Zurg glanced at Rumpleteaser and smiled.

"It is hard to adjust to this time. It's primitive by what I'm used to. I'm from a futuristic world with a lot more technology. I had my own army of robots and alien creatures. And now I'm not the one in charge and stuck in the past of an alternate universe. It does takes some time to adjust." said Zurg.

Zurg nodded at Zod.

"That's alright. I'm glad to meet a general though. I haven't met many myself. At least not many worth remembering." said Zurg.

"They'll probably get a lot more weak animals or children. That they'll keep out of the fight which will lessen their numbers." said Phil.

Duke Nukem smirked glad to have powerful new allies.

"This is good. A new sorcerer and an emperor. We're getting powerful allies. This will help us win for sure." said Duke Nukem.

[Loki]

Loki smiled, flattered by this man. It was clear this man had some sort of charisma. Ben instantly came across as a person of potential. Loki instantly saw potential in those who were humble enough to learn from any one of high stature. Plus it was nice to be wanted for his intelligence and power. "You are very kind, sir. Pray tell what can I call my new student?" Loki shook ben's hand as he asked this. He remembered he didn't know Ben's name. At least not yet. He then turned to zurg and replied "Ah I see. I can assure you in this world, I'm real though"

"Well blimy, I wish I was from that type of world. Mine is honestly so boring. It's pretty much the same as this place, but with more garbage" Rumpleteaser focused on Zurg now, seeing Ben was semi-distracted. She turned to the others who chit-chatted and admittedly felt out of place. She wished she knew a better way to make friends than just sniffing them. Rumpleteaser heard Phil's comment and gave a soft pout "Aw well darn, I certainly hope no more kiddies come here. Too crazy I say"

"Don't you worry, I will certainly be a general worth remembering. It is good to meet such a interesting emperor such as yourself, Zurg. A true pleasure" Zod gave a quick bow before nodding approvingly. He then turned to Phil with a evil smirk "Indeed. Making them weaker makes our chance of winning stronger" He then nodded with a satisfied hum to Duke's comment

[Ben Ravencroft]

Ben grinned.

"My name is Ben Ravencroft. I suppose I'm an apprentice warlock. I only had my powers a few hours before I died in my world. My ancestor was a powerful witch but she was killed by her enemies and her spirit sealed in a spellbook. I found the book unlocking its powers as I was her descendant I could have my own. Then I freed her but we had different ideas. I wanted to enslave the world and she wanted to destroy it. In the end, our bickering caused our downfall as we both sucked into the book by a group of meddlers including a powerful Wiccan. The book I think was destroyed killing me and that was the last thing I remember before I ended up here. I wish to learn more and I can with your help." said Ben.

Zurg nodded.

"I see. It's an honor to meet a god. I never thought I'd meet one." said Zurg.

He smiled at Rumpleteaser.

"Well I can tell you more about it if you like. Or show you some holo files I have with me." said Zurg.

Zurg turned to Zod and smiled.

"I look forward to seeing what you can do." said Zurg.

Phil chuckled.

"Better to weaken down the other armies with kids and make our job easier. Although if a few more show up here it won't be so bad. They're not annoying and seem to take care of themselves alright." said Phil.

He grinned seeing Zod had the same idea.

"Yes. If I could I'd reactivate the device that brought us here and made sure only children and weaklings were sent to the other armies. But I guess that's not possible." said Phil.

Duke Nukem chuckled.

"Hey if the armies were full of too many weaklings then there wouldn't be much fun when we take over. If it's too easy that's boring. I'd like some real challenges in this war." said Duke Nukem.

[Loki]

Loki nodded as Ben introduced himself and explained his story. The god nodded, interested in the mortal's life. After ben finished, Loki smiled assuringly "With me as your teacher, you will become one of the most powerful warlocks in history. You will not need to worry about being imprisoned again, you will be more prepared for things like that. It will take time though, so it will not come fast, but eventually you can become incredibly powerful" He then chuckled, looking inside "But first I suggest you get acquainted with the household. Feel free to follow me" He walked inside, expecting his new pupil to follow.

Zod meanwhile focused on zurg, duke nukem and Virus. He nodded to Zurg and replied with a smile "Indeed. I will impress you soon once the time is set" He then turned to Virus and shrugged apathetically "I do not think you can either. A shame really. It would be quite humorous" He then turned to see Loki and Ben go in and replied "Ah, yes, newcomers please make yourself at home. Do come in"

Rumpleteaser beamed as Zurg suggested showing her files as well as tell her. The curiosity flowed through her and she nodded "Oh please do! I wanna know! I always like learnin' things. Never got to learn much except steal when I was a youngin'. You're a emperor? What's that like really? Isn't it really frustrating?"

[Ben Ravencroft]

Ben grinned at Loki.

"It is an honor and privilege to have you as my teacher. I'll try to not let you down." said Ben.

He was still in awe of the powerful sorcerer.

"I know power does not come easily. I was reckless in my quest for power before and allowed mortals to spoil my plans. I suppose I need more learning than just magical. To plan things out and be strategical. Think you could help me with that as well? I wrote novels in my world before I got my powers. It's one thing to write about this but it's different experiencing it firsthand." said Ben.

Ben nodded following Loki inside.

Zurg grinned.

"Perhaps you will. I look forward to it. I'm sure there will be a lot of surprises in this war." said Zurg.

Zurg grinned at Rumpleteaser as he activated a device on his wrist showing images of his empire.

"Here is my planet and my minions the Grubs, Brainbots, and my second in command Warp Darkmatter. There are other villains as well sometimes working for me or we're competing for crimes." said Zurg.

He sighed as the images shifted to the space rangers especially Team Lightyear.

"Team Lightyear is always ruining my fun even when it was just Buzz. They and all the space rangers make it harder to have a dishonest work for a living." said Zurg.

Zurg smiled glad to know people here were on his side.

"It is hard to be an emperor but it's worth it. In time I hoped to bring the whole universe under my control and a few times I almost succeeded." said Zurg.

He nodded to Duke Nukem.

"Yes they are the law in my time and very annoying." said Zurg.

Phantom Virus sighed.

"I know. Heck if we could rework the device we'd just have stop sending people to the other armies entirely. Why risk either army getting stronger? Who knows what new allies both armies have gotten by now." said Virus.

He was amazed at Zurg's technology.

"Whoa. Impressive." said Virus.]

Duke Nukem chuckled.

"Who's to say we can change things around later? We can't change the device but perhaps we can relocate people when they get sent here? Would be nice to have people coming here instead of the other armies. But I guess something that would take awhile if it could be done." said Duke Nukem.

Duke was also amazed at Zurg's technology and frowned w
at the mention of Space Rangers.

"Sounds like those planet pests I had to deal with but worse. Like they're the police of your time." said Duke Nukem.

[Loki]

"With the attitude you have, you probably won't Mr. Ravencroft" Loki replied, liking this person more and more. Someone who was willing to respect him was automatically someone Loki liked. Call him a egotist, but it was nice to be appreciated. Loki listened to Ben more and nodded "Indeed. With magic must come a sense of cunning. Magic is very much a weapon that only the skilled can use properly" He then, as the two went inside, listened to Ben's question of helping him with planning things out "Well, since you're a writer, I suppose you take notes with my words. But still, with specific training I will help you plan out things also" He then guided Ben to a seat and grabbed a small notebook in his armored jacket. He replied with a wry smirk "Here is a small detailed book about spells I keep with me just in case" He pushed it to ben "Take it. It will help you when we start your lessons"

Zod smirked as Duke implied they could always change things while Virus outright said they should work things out. He nodded "Indeed, only time will tell I suppose" Zod then smiled to Zurg who then showed his technology for them. In order to primarily ask Rumpleteaser's question and quench her curiosity. He replied with evident surprise "Amazing. Your technology might be the very thing that can create some of the most useful powerhouses" He then shook his head "Ah yes. The law. We all have issues with that"

Rumpleteaser jumped a little as Zurg showed images on a weird device. She sniffed it at first before beaming excitedly "Bloody hell that's incredible. What a amazing place and people ya have!" She then cocked her head in curiosity at Buzz and his crew replying "Huh. They don't look so intimidating. They look a bit silly" She then replied with a smile "Don't you worry about it, sir. You'll get them in no time! I mean with a device like that and the planet ya got, it's only a matter of time!"
