A Secret Romance (Sebastian)

John arrived in the woods nervously. He was dressed in a green T-shirt, a black of black jeans, a pair of white tennis shoes, and a black coat. He was wearing his backpack as well. His cover was he was going out to study at the library but he'd already finished his homework. It was just an excuse to spend more time with Sebastian. Although he knew the secret would come out soon. His parents would suspect something soon enough. At least his sister would. It was hard to keep anything secret from her. Sarah would figure out something for sure. He wasn't sure what to do but he knew he didn't want to lose Sebastian. There had to be a way they could stay together. They had been dating for months and he didn't even know he was the enemy. Although the thought of him being the enemy just attracted him even more to Sebastian.

"I hope you can make it. It's been so long since I've last seen you." whispered John, thinking out loud.

Unlike John, who made the excuse of going to the library, Sebastian replied that he was simply going out with tons of friends. Yuki and Harry were growing suspicious daily but seemed to buy Sebastian's lies for another day. He knew very well his parents were on to him, the other day he and Harry had a passive-aggressive talk about being honest and not keeping secrets from the family, Yuki thankfully came to the rescue and told Harry to stop it but it definitely affected him. Sebastian knew that the gig was eventually going to be up. Sebastian however would still be determined and go see John anyway, Sebastian cared about the other boy too much to let him go, but the fear of being confronted by something he cared about was evident as seen with their private visits. The two have been being secret for months and it was because of parent's approval, the war had not much to do with it, it only increased the chances of it being forbidden. Although the awareness of being involved with the enemy was there, Sebastian didn't care. Facilier could hate him and he wouldn't care, Facilier wasn't his father, Harry Percy was. He cared more about his parent's approval.

Right now though, Sebastian was just going to enjoy his time with John today. As he snuck into the woods, with his black Tshirt, bright blue jeans and a pair of black sneakers, he saw John's form and his heart skipped a beat. Even though they've been doing things like this for months, Sebastian was just so attracted to John. The other boy made him very happy as a person. He chuckled as he heard John whisper stuff out loud and responded "It HAS been a long time. That really sucks. Life just is slower without you" He chuckled again as john turned to him in surprise. Sebastian just went over and held john's hand before squeezing it "Hi there"

John grinned as he spotted Sebastian. He squeezed John's hand back before pulling him into a kiss wrapping his hands around him. He pulled back with a grin.

"Hey. I've missed you. It's not fair. I've known about this war for years. One of the few kids who did know. But I never thought to ask our enemies names or if they had kids. But I don't think it'd matter. I fell for you the first moment I saw you. And well knowing you're the enemy hasn't changed my feelings for you." said John.

He paused and sighed.

"But we can't keep this a secret forever. My parents haven't figured it out yet but my sister suspects something. I'd kidnap you if I knew it'd do any good. Once this gets out we'll probably never get to see each other again. I just don't want to lose you." said John.

He sighed holding Sebastian in his arms as an idea came to him.

"We could run away. No. We can't. With the magic and tech both armies have they'd find us before we even got out of the city. There has to be something we can do to stay together." said Jim.

[Harry Percy/Hotspur]

As John kissed him, Sebastian kissed back and smiled softly when they were pulled apart, he nodded as John said he missed him and complained about the war. That he didn't have his feelings change despite the fact they were supposed to be the enemy. He listened and then spoke his mind "I know. It's not fair at all john and I don't like hiding anymore. That's why I think we shouldn't let this war or anybody else get between us anymore. Stop hiding I mean" He sighed "I know it's dangerous but not talking about you or loving you is like not breathing air. I love you and I can't let anyone stop me"

"I know we can't. You're right. My dad's on to me, mom is keeping him on a leash for now but even he can't stop my dad from demanding what's going on. We can't stop hiding forever, john" Sebastian agreed solemnly, he knew the risks but he didn't feel like letting go. He allowed John to hold him and the other boy sighed sadly. He didn't like this whole forbidden situation. He then gasped at the idea of running away only for john to correct himself. "Maybe there is a way. Maybe we can just tell our families, you know like our siblings and/or parents. If they hate it, then let them, we can't hide our feelings forever. As for the armies, I don't know, maybe I can...." He sighed softly before looking out to the horizon before whispering to john "Maybe after I confess my feelings, I'll find a way to join your side" He groaned "I know it's terrible but I'd rather be a traitor than lose you"

[John Black]

John grinned as Sebastian kissed him back. He always enjoyed Sebastian's kisses. He never wanted them to stop but he did have to breathe. He nodded as Sebastian agreed with him.

"But Seb I don't want to lose you. If this had happened when we first met maybe I could have gotten over you. But it's too late for that now. I feel like you have a piece of my heart and I have a piece of yours. We're connected now. They'll try to seperate us." said John.

He grinned as Sebastian's words glad he felt the same.

"I know we can't keep going like this forever. But I don't know if I'd recover from the heartbreak if they split us up." said John.

He paused as he said they could hate it.

"But my parents and sister are lanterns like me. My grandparents are the leaders of this army. They'll try to stop us. Or worse. What if they tried kidnap you or hurt you. I dont' want anyone to even lay a finger on you. Well except me." said John.

He paused as Sebastian spoke saying he'd find a way to his side.

"Once they know they'll never let us out of their sight. We'd always have a baby sitter or something." said John.

He paused looking at him with a grin as the idea came to him.

"We got two choices. One of us joins the other army and is branded a traitor. Or we got with option two.

He trailed off getting down on one knee. He conjured a green engagement ring with his lantern ring as he held it in his hands. He grabbed Sebastian's hands.

"This isn't how I wanted to ask you. I've been thinking about it for awhile. I know we've only known each other a few months but I love you. I can't picture my life without you. Seb will you marry me?" asked John.

(ooc: up to you if he says yes or not. couldn't resist a proposal or nicknaming him Seb. xd)

[Sebastian Percy]

(OCC: Didn't know why but I couldn't resist making Sebastian accept. Because he's determined to stay with john. Also, the nickname's fine. And, just saying, after a little while of this thread. We need to make seperate threads where we make the boys tell their families about their relationship. Because I can't wait for Percy, BLS and Sarah to express their joys for them! XD)

"I know, John. I wouldn't ever want to lose you either. Like ever. I'd die before losing you. But what if they don't? What if they will be happy for us? I mean I know it's two sides but what if they have like a loophole so we stay together? We can't just keep lying!" Sebastian objected. He may have been naive saying such things but he wanted to try. He didn't like lying to his parents. They stuck by him for so much. The last thing he thought of doing was lying to them.

"Maybe they won't! That's why I suggested it! If they really cared about us they wouldn't! We can't just assume too much or that'll hurt us even more. We're all we have anyway in the end" Sebastian said, affectionately holding John, and kissing him again after his previous one. He loved John. He didn't care about all the risks. He loved him. He didn't care what to do. He loved John.

"That's why it's best to tell them now before the war increases. We need to tell the truth. I really don't care what they do to me. I know you'll be there to help me out someway. And I think, from the descriptions of your sister, that'll she'll understand at least. My mom's a good doctor and he's someone I know who'd love me even if I had three eyes. My dad and your parents I'm not sure about" Sebastian sadly responded. He didn't know. He hated not knowing. He wished to trust his parents but the war was a huge reason for their silence.

"Oh come on. We're smart. We could always find ways to escape. But come on. Let's just put it all in and try to hope they're positive" Sebastian said, his heart growing heavy. He never thought he'd have such pressure over the damned fact he was in love with a opposing side member. He didn't like the fact this was so complicated.

He then cocked his head to the side in utter confusion as John said they had two choices. Either one would join the army of the opposing side, being branded a traitor, which was something Sebastian thought was a good idea but then John did something that Sebastian didn't expect at all. A proposal. Sebastian gasped, stunned that John was this committed to him. He saw the green ring and tears sprang in his eyes instantly. The ring was actually beautiful. He looked to John and listened to his words and observed his situation. A marriage meant that regardless of what anyone said, they would be together and keep it that way. He nervously considered his options. He knew this was a bit early in their ages but many people got married early, or at young ages. So he held onto John's hands with a tight grip and before he could stop himself, he responded "John. I..I can't picture my life without you either. I want to spend my life with you. I don't care how old we are. We need each other. Yes! I accept! I'll marry you!"

John shook his head.

"There's too much riding on this. Even if our families approved the armies wouldn't." said John.

He paused as Sebastian was happy at his proposal and accepted the ring. John grinned placing it on his finger.

"You said yes!" said John.

He grinned grabbing Sebastian into a kiss before picking him and twirling in the air not realizing they were hovering as he'd subconsciously tapped into his lantern powers. Blushing he floated back to the ground setting Sebastian back down.

"Sorry. Guess I got carried away." said John.

He paused looking at him with a grin before conjuring his own engagement ring placing it on his left ring finger. He grinned before getting an idea.

"We should keep this quiet. Go tomorrow and I can turn these into wedding rings. We can go to the justice of the peace and get married. We'd need a witness so maybe we could just bring some of our friends from school. I just think it'd best for us to get married before we tell our folks. Once we're married no one can split us up. But if we tell everyone we're engaged they might lock us up or say we're under a spell or something. We could always have another wedding with out families later. What do you think?" said John.

[Sebastian Percy]

"I don't really give a damn what the other armies think" Sebastian mumbled under his breath. He sighed softly, understanding where John was coming from, as much as they loved their families, they had to play this safe. "I know there's too much riding. I still really want to let my dad know. Because if I don't tell him, he's going to force me too" He sighed again, sick of all the pressure. Was it so wrong to love someone else just because they were from a different place?

He then beamed brightly at John's happiness, the two were engaged! They were going to get married! Sebastian couldn't be happier! He then kissed back, unaware of being lifted into the air, he pulled back and saw they were high in the air and gasped, holding onto John tightly. He wasn't upset, he was just incredibly nervous of heights, but john being there made it a bit easier. When they were put down, Sebastian kissed him again "It's ok. You're excited. So am I" He hugged the other boy, out of pure affection and joy.

Despite what he said about wanting to have his family know, getting married secretly made sense. He listened to John's planning and nodded as he listened. They would get their friends and a witness to bind their marriage, go to the justice of peace for the marriage then tell their families so they wouldn't be able to send them away or assume they were joking. He did especially like that john brought up that they could always do it again with their families once this nonsense was over. "I know I said I wanted our families to know before but... now that we're getting married we should do this privately like you said. I think it's the best for us. We'll get married tomorrow. I have tons of friends who would totally keep this secret and come by"

(OCC: I'm so excited. Can't wait to make seperate threads for both Sebastian's family and John's. I can't wait to make harry so excited and sarah all like "I freaking knew something was up!" XD)

(ooc: so should we do a time skip to the wedding at some point? Or have the wedding take place off screen so we can do the threads with the families finding out? Xd)

"I don't really care what they think either. Just my family's opinion and yours is all that matters to me. Maybe we should consider asking them to leave this war. If we can't stop this pointless war I don't want our family hurt. Because once we get married your family will become my family and my family will become your family. I know neither of us wants to lose anyone from the families we already have." said

He nodded.

"I know they want to know. But it's better to wait. They'd separate us. Maybe even use magic to try to keep us apart. What if they tried to make us forget each other? I don't know which would be worse? Never seeing you again or not remembering you at all?" said John.

He grinned as John had accepted his ring and he had held him tightly when they were up in the air. He kind of liked that feeling even though he gasped a little at how tightly Seb was holding him.

"I would love to take you on a flight sometime but I wouldn't want to scare you. Maybe we could try a magic carpet or something? Would that make you feel safer?" asked John.

He grinned as Seb finally agreed to tell them later.

"Thank you. I know this is for the best. But I perhaps we should tell them in a public place. Like the park. That way if they don't like it or try to keep us apart we could try to escape together. I don't want to fight our family. But if I had to choose between fighting them and losing you I'd fight. I just hope it doesn't come to that. I can't lose you Seb." said John.

[Sebastian Percy]

(OCC: We can do it off-screen, that way this thread will end faster and we'll just get to both threads. John and Sebastian's family finding out, can't wait to make BLS, Sarah and Harry excited. It'll be hilarious. You can do one more post and I'll end it for sure)

"You're right. Our families are important to know about this and have their opinion, not anyone else. And we should tell them to run away from this war. It's clear it's not going to end anytime soon, so we need to protect them like they try to protect us" Sebastian said, holding onto John affectionately. He breathed, aware that good things came to those who waited. So they would wait. "You're right. We'll marry then tell them. If they can't accept us, then we'll just have to accept that and we be happy anyway. But knowing my mom he'll understand, and maybe my dad. But your family is unknown to me"

He then giggled in apology seeing that he was holding John a bit too tight "Sorry, didn't mean to hug so tight. Just was nervous. Nah, I don't need a carpet, I'll try not to hold on so tightly. But I like holding onto you" Sebastian grinned flirtatiously, too excited to care of how obnoxious he was starting to sound.

"It is. It's for the best. We can't really do it any other way. Yeah, I'll make my family go to the north of the central park and you can go to the south, that way it won't be so sudden and obvious. I hope it won't come to anything drastic either. Believe me john, I don't want to lose you either" Sebastian looked down at John's hands, then to his ring and then giggled "Getting married. We're getting married"

[John Black]

John nodded.

"They will know. Just not right away. I love you with all my heart. And I won't let anyone tear us apart." said John.

He nodded.

"I love my family and don't want to lose them. But you're worth it Seb. Maybe we could get an apartment in the city or something. I don't know if I want to start my own army but at least we could have some privacy. And we wouldn't have to choose between our families. What do you think?" said John.

He nodded.

"I don't know much about your family either but I'd like to." said John.

He grinned at him.

"It's ok. I like it when you hug me like that. It makes me feel safe." said John.

He nodded.

"Yes the park is the best option. Just be careful Seb." said John.

He paused conjuring matching devices that looked like cell phones and handed one to Seb.

"With these we can stay in touch. Just press 5 and enter to teleport if you need to get away. press 9 if you want to talk to me in a hurry." said John.

He paused handing him a list of instructions for other numbers to do. He grinned at Seb's words.

"Yes. It's sooner than I expected but you're the one I'd want to ask anyway." said John.

(ooc: after your post we could skip to a new thread. maybe instead of two threads we could do one with both families. that way if we want the families to meet we don't have to make a third thread to do that. lol.)

"Yeah. Right now we have to keep it away. I love you too. You're everything" Sebastian said sadly, unhappily. He knew it was dangerous but he wanted so badly to tell someone. He hated not letting people know the John he knew. The john that was sweet and kind. The john he loved.

"If the worst happens, I can find us a apartment. But I don't wanna lose my family either but I'd rather be hated by my dad than lose you" Sebastian replied honestly. He didn't care anymore. He wanted John. Love was blind, not stupid, but blind. Love didn't care. His heart was full with determination.

"Yeah your sister sounds fun" Sebastian quipped. He then laughed as John said he feel safe when hugged "Then I'll give you another hug" He did so, and smiled softly, enjoying this moment. He then saw John give him a special device and gave him commands, Sebastian said nothing only listening. He then nodded as John gave him more numbers and grinned "Well my soon-to-be husband. I'll catch up. You be careful too" He kissed john's lips before running off. He had to get ready, his father might be expecting him
