(ooc: March 11th. Morning. Duke Nukem/Pete friendship thread.)
Duke Nukem walked into the living room. He was wearing his traditional blue Hawaiian shirt with orange flowers and a pair of red shorts. Thanks to help from Hades, Dark Nella, and the others they were able to use magic and science to give him all the energy he needed. And his old pollutionteer ring was now on his ring. Super Radiation. it was even stronger than his normal powers and it didn't run out of juice like he did so he could conserve his own energy. He took a seat in the living room with a grin. Phantom Virus had been spending most of his time lately with Dark Heart or Thrax so he knew he needed to make some friends here.
It had been over three months since he joined. He even missed his servant Lead Head and his associates Looten Plunder, Argos Bleak, Sly Sludge, Ooze, Verminous Skumm, Dr. Blight, Mal, Hoggish Greedly, Rigger, Zarm, and especially Captain Pollution. But with only one two pollutionteer rings with his and the cloned evil ring of hate that Dark Nella and ask That guy shared they didn't have enough rings. He sighed as he picked up the remote thinking maybe he could see something on tv. He paused hearing footsteps wondering who that could be.
Pete was admittedly getting to feel like dead weight. Sure he'd been helpful to a certain degree, as in being loyal and getting small jobs done, but he was quite awkward with a majority of people. So he felt it was high-time he made himself get a friend or at least someone he could talk to, even for the day. He was tired though, since just getting up and he let out a yawn as he came down the steps. He saw Duke Nukem and realized he was alone with a polluted person, for some reason though Pete sought this out as a oppotunity. He smirked, scratched his head, and walked over. What could he say first? Something interesting perhaps?
"Hey, I was on my way to see if the football game was on this morning. Wanna check it with me?" So much for a interesting conversation

Duke grinned seeing Pete.
"Sure. I don't really watch sports. Although I think you should operate the tv. I have better control of my powers but when I first started out I tended to fry the things with my powers." said Duke Nukem.
He smiled patting the couch.
"Come sit next to me. If the game's not on then we could watch a movie or something. Or just talk. I haven't really seen you around much lately. I'm Duke Nukem by the way. I know I met you once but things have been so busy here especially after our army split in two. The nerve of those guys thinking they could betray us and take over. Well we showed them." said Duke Nukem.
He laughed waiting for Pete to join him and turn the tv on.
"Sure. I'll find something we'll like to watch" Pete said who quickly complied to Duke's request to sit next to him. He was glad he wasn't bothering the other person. "Sure. Movies or talking sounds fine. I'm not a picky dude" He then laughed as the traitors were mentioned. He found that amusing himself "Yeah. Those idiots. They really thought they had a shot. Honest to god, they're such idiots" He immediately turned the TV on and tried to find a good channel "You like crime dramas or anything? Maybe there's something on demand we can find"

Duke Nukem grinned as Pete turned on the tv listening to him.
"I'm not that picky either. As long as it's nothing too preachy like saving the environment." said Duke Nukem.
He chuckled as Pete agreed with him about the traitors.
"Yes. They're all fools for betraying us. Perhaps we should keep some of them alive as slaves. And some in Critic's too. I mean we take out the leaders and powerful ones obviously. But the rest could be very useful as slaves. Or at least be fun for us to have them around to kick around." said Duke Nukem, laughing.
Duke Nukem paused.
"Eh I didn't really watch tv much. Never really had time for it. So whatever you watch I'd be ok with. Besides watching crime dramas isn't something I want to watch. The bad guys lose after all." said Duke Nukem.
"Saving the environment? I'm not al gore ok? Don't worry. I'm sure we'll find better stuff than that" Pete responded cheerfully. He then clicked some channels as he and duke began talking some more. He then nodded with a laugh "Yeah, maybe we should. It'd be fun to have those heroes and facilier idiots bowing down to us. That brings me in such a good mood for some reason. Kicking them with a big boot comes to mind or dressing them up as clowns!" He laughed a bit more after that.
As he kept changing channels he heard duke state that pete was free to choose but anything that wasn't a crime drama would be especially nice. Pete nodded "Eh, I get it. You're more into your work, that's fine. Hey! I found this courage the cowardly dog show, my son watches it. He says it good. Then again he DOES have good taste in some things I guess. Wanna try that?"
Post by Duke Nukem/Drake Miller on Jan 31, 2014 20:14:00 GMT -5
Duke Nukem chuckled.
"I'm not sure who Al Gore is but I'm glad to here it." said Duke Nukem.
He grinned as Pete seemed happy with the idea.
"Yeah. It might be fun to keep those planet punks Gi and Ma-Ti around. We'd just destroy those rings of course and they'd be easy to control. And I'm sure once we get rid of the more powerful ones and leaders the rest will be easy prey." said Duke Nukem.
He chuckled along with Pete as Pete suggested dressing up them like clowns.
"That could be fun. Facilier's army is running a circus after all so making them as clowns would be fitting." said Duke Nukem.
He paused and grinned.
"Alright the dog show sounds interesting. You have a son? Gee. I'm sorry he didn't get brought here with you." said Duke Nukem.
(ooc: Just wondering which Pete this is. If it's Goof Troop's Pete he'd probably be in Critic's Army and that's the only one I remember who had a son. Most versions of Pete he's a villain while in the Goof Troop one he was probably the closest to being a good guy. I mean he got annoyed by Goofy a lot but he did have his nice guy moments.)
(OCC: This version of pete is pretty much from when Pete Jr, pete's son, is around his teen years. A goofy movie and a extremely goofy movie is this version of pete. Yes the goof troop pete would be in critic's side but this version of pete is when pete jr is pretty much college age. Hope this helps)
"A pretentious environmentalist. Don't worry about it" Pete replied with a easy grin. "Yeah, keep the weak and destroy the strong I guess. It makes sense to keep the little brats once their rings are gotten rid of" Pete replied again related to their enemy's destruction. He was more into the takeover attitude anyway.
"That'd be great. I'd love to see them wearing the costumes. It'd be hilarious" Pete replied calmly and with a hint of amusement. He didn't like facilier's troops at all. He wished to take them down quickly. He then responded off-handedly "Ah it's ok. My son's pretty much still in college and having his own life by this point. Yeah I have a son, and he's a man now. Can't let him be on my mind forever, still I miss my kid" He shrugged softly but shook his head and responded something related to the show "Yeah. Let me go find it" He clicked the remote and kept finding channels to see if he found it yet. Eventually he did and replied "Alright. Got it. Let's see if it really still holds up on the interesting factor"

Duke Nukem chuckled.
"Yep. We always could use some slaves. And well if they get to be a problem we can always get rid of them too. After all we have a whole world to do our bidding once we win." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem nodded glad Pete was pleased with the clown ideas.
"Yep. Perhaps we could save that circus. Or rebuild it if necessary and make them perform there as well as anyone we save from Critic's army too of course." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem nodded listening to him.
"Well maybe he'll show up here at some point. I mean that device keeps pulling people here so it could happen." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem nodded as Pete found the remote and switched on the tv. He paused glancing at him.
"So what are watching again? I don't want to risk frying the remote so I'll leave it up to you to pick something." said Duke Nukem.
"Yeah. The less rebellious people the better, I mean we don't need the problem. We can just do whatever we please. As we should, since we're gonna be the boss" Pete agreed. He then nodded at the idea of keeping the circus to rebuild, save and make slaves, critic's army and facilier's army perform there "Yeah. That circus I'm sure is nice enough to keep. It's the idiots who run it that are the problem"
He nodded, smiling as Duke suggested P.J would maybe show up too "It could. He probably will show up. I can only wish and hope and wait, yknow? It's not a big deal if he doesn't but if he does, it'll feel nice" Pete responded softly. He did in fact miss his son as much as he hated to admit it. But he concentrated on the tv and chuckled at duke's question "Courage the cowardly dog" He reminded "I'll guide you though it if you don't know what it's talking about"

Duke grinned.
"Sounds like a plan. You know so far we've only captured people from Critic's army. I think it's time Facilier's army got some payback of their own." said Duke.
Duke chuckled as Pete agreed wit him.
"It needs a change of management and I think we're happy to take the circus off their hands." said Duke.
He smiled.
"Maybe he will. Say maybe we could ask Dr. Insano for a more specialized device. I mean people like Linksano and Vyce have come from different realities before the war started. If we had something like we could go to our own realms and bring whoever we wanted. Even your son." said Duke.
He smiled as the program started as Pete told him about.
"Wait he's a coward and his name is Courage? How bizarre." said Duke.
He nodded as Pete said he'd guide him as he watched the intro and smirked. The dog was easily spooked and Muriel's husband enjoyed spooking him.
"Well this might be entertaining after all." said Duke.
(ooc: only seen random episodes of courage so if you have a favorite one or one in particular you can start it. xd)
(OCC: Sure no worries. I'll just do most of it if you don't know which one it is)
"Yeah. It's high time we taught those traitors a lesson. Maybe take one member that really hits home. Like a kid or one of the high members?" Pete suggested, a sadistic smile in his features. He continued chatting with Duke about the possibilities of keeping the circus "Yeah. They don't care about it enough anyway. We'd take nice, good care of it"
He then pondered about the chances of having his son here. As much as he missed him, Pete didn't know if bringing his son to a dangerous area like this was really a good idea. Pete was selfish of course but he wasn't stupid. He wanted his son here but not in a fashion that could cost him his life. He turned to Duke and smiled politely "It's a nice offer and a awesome idea but maybe I shouldn't do this. I mean think about it, as awesome as it would be, my son wouldn't do very good here. He's got a lot goin' out for him, a girlfriend, college, a new job last I checked. He has a life now. And it'd be kinda dumb to force him out of it. Besides, it's dangerous here, I haven't had good action yet but from what I've been told, it's a hell house"
"I know. I think that's the joke" Pete replied as the show started. After the intro it began with a episode where a ancient Egyptian tomb stone was stolen and the thief was on the run but escaped police. Suddenly a strange creature demanded the thief to return the stone of suffer penalties, the thief refused and suffered a off-screen attack from man-eating locusts. "Wow. I forgot how gruesome this show is. Huh, so that's why P.J had nightmares when he watched it. Fancy that" He shrugged off-handedly as the show continued and showed muriel and eustace, the owners of courage, watching simple tv and eustace being strangely annoyed by Courage's presence.

Duke Nukem nodded agreeing with Pete.
"Yeah it is. But let's not talk about those losers anymore. At least not today. We talk enough about them already. Let's just have fun today." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem grinned at the thought of taking over the circus.
"Well, it would help. We could put circuses all over the world. No one would suspect a takeover by a circus. With magic from Dark Nella and the others, we could use the circuses as a base and slowly take over the world. Well once the other armies were taken care of." said Duke Nukem.
Duke paused at Pete's words.
"Yeah. Maybe it would be better for him to stay in your world where he'd be safer. Then again maybe once this war's over you could think about bringing him here. Then your family could be together again." said Duke.
Duke nodded as Pete explained Courage's name.
"Ah. Now that makes more sense." said Duke.
Duke watched listening.
"Wow. That's certainly one way to stop thieves." said Duke Nukem.
He watched and frowned confused.
"So the man doesn't like the dog? Interesting." said Duke.
"Yeah. Let's leave the business when we're talking business. Right now we're just chit-chatting" Pete concurred. Annoyed with the traitors, he decided to focus on other matters, like the circus being taking over "You have a point man, you really have a point. We can build tons of circuses once we got rid of the other armies. It would be kinda surprising that someplace that is a entertainment system take over the world and stuff"
"That's what I mean. He's safer in my world and yeah I can always get him here when the war's over but I don't know how long this will be. He could be a grandfather and I'd be dead maybe by the time it's over. I appreciate your words, man but I'm gonna pass for my son's sake" Pete responded, shrugging. Again pete WAS selfish but when it came to his son he had like a secret selflessness about him that not many saw.
"It does for the sake of a ironic joke" He then nodded as Nukem said that this was one way to get rid of thieves. By killing them. He then nodded with a shrug "He never likes the dog. He always calls him stupid and abuses the dog by frightening him. Muriel, the lady, is VERY loving and nice to the dog, she's the one that adopted him like the intro said" He then saw Eustace grab the tomb-stone and Pete couldn't help but cringe as Eustace said he was going to be rich and keep it, much to both courage and muriel's protest. "Look I'm greedy but even I don't steal cursed property"
As the show went on, muriel and eustace saw late night tv news that mentioned the stone and muriel said to return it, but eustace just ignored her, saying she didn't know what she was talking about. "Idiot!" Pete snapped "The news has proven to you that thing is stolen. It's really worth a lot yes but not enough to go to jail over" He then jumped at the loud banging at the door and suddenly a 3-D ghost with a very low voice said "Return the slab, or suffer my curse"
"I freaking knew that this tomb-stone was going to bite them in the ass. They wouldn't make this a episode if it didn't" Pete responded then face-palmed as Eustace just sticked out his tongue and demanded an offer from the spirit.

Duke nodded as well.
"Good. Besides just talking about them will just make us mad. We should have fun once and awhile." said Duke.
Duke Nukem chuckled.
"And that will be a sight no one will probably ever see again. A circus burning to the ground." said Duke Nukem.
He chuckled at the thought. He nodded at his words
"You're lucky Pete. You have a son. Even Ask That Guy and Dark Nella adopted a few kids here. Mechakara even built himself two daughters. I never thought about having kids of my own before. But sometimes I wish I did have a child. Only now I can't. Not after my accident." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem smirked as his attention shifted to the cartoon.
"I see. You know I never really cared much for dogs before but this dog's doing everything to save a guy who hates him. That's real loyalty. Not one you can find in most humans or animals." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem chuckled and nodded in agreement with Pete.;
"Yeah curses aren't something you want to mess with." said Duke Nukem.
He shook his head.
"Well it just shows how greedy he is. I mean at least there was nothing like that in my world. All I had to worry about was Gaia, those planet twerps, and Captain Planet. And they're too good to kill their enemies." said Duke Nukem.
He watched amused.
"Wait. Why didn't the cops arrest him? I mean they didn't know the other thieves were the ones who stole it. They could have thought the farmer and his wife stole it." said Duke Nukem.
Duke Nukem watched in surprise as Ramses showed up.
"Well for a cartoon that ghost isn't half bad. He's pretty scary." said Duke Nukem.
As Duke watched a painting of water vanishes from the tablet and water started dripping from the ceiling.
"Did you leave the tub running Courage?" asked Muriel.
Then water started pouring out from the walls, a moose head and other areas quickly flooding the area. Courage, Muriel, and Eustace ran upstairs as the water shoved them into the attic and kept filling the room.
"Why did they run upstairs? Wouldn't outside have been better?" asked Duke Nukem.
He paused as he watched Eustace dived under the water in scuba gear clutching the tablet.
"Wow. Why does she stay married to that guy? He's willing to let her die to stay rich." said Duke Nukem.
He watched as Courge drained the house by swimming to the basement and pulling out a clog.
"A clog? Really? That's not much of a curse." said Duke Nukem.
