Avengers Assemble

[Thor]

(February 26th. Morning. Closed to Captain America, Thor, Steve, Bruce, & Pepper Potts. If any other avengers characters are taken they can join this thread as well.)

Thor gasped as a bolt of lightning struck the front yard depositing Thor as he looked around groggy. He paused looking around for Mjölnir finding it lying next to him. He picked it up as he saw the Teseract was still in his pocket which was a relief. He paused knocking on the door eager to know where he was. Perhaps this was where his comrades had been sent although he saw no sign of hawkeye, black widow, or fury. He hoped they were okay. He frowned realizing all the "super" members of the team were gone and just left with shield agents. He hoped nothing major happened while they were gone.

"Hello. Is anyone there?" asked Thor.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

"Holy hell. Is it really you blondie!?" Tony exclaimed with huge excitement as he was the one who opened the door. Thor was actually here! Perfect! And he seemed to have the tesseract with him due to slight blue glowing in Thor's pocket. This was great! This meant much more power on the Critic's side. Tony was no hugging guy and he knew Thor was really strong so he offered his hand instead "Well I'll be damned. It's really good that you're here Thor, but boy do we have a lot to talk about. Come on in, it's freaking freezing"

When he invited Thor in he shouted to the others "HEY! Steve! Bruce! The big thunder boy's back!" Tony's smile was full of snark but he geniunely enjoyed Thor being here, because he and thor were allies and even though they came on the wrong foot, Tony respected Thor a lot. He didn't call pepper because he assumed she was busy with something other than him but he knew Bruce and Steve wanted to see Thor here.

"He's back?" Bruce said stumbling out the door attempting to pull on his shoe. "Thor your here!" Bruce happily finally getting his shoe on and making his way to the god of thunder. "So you finally made it?"

[Thor]

Thor grinned seeing Tony and Bruce hugging them both.

"It is good to see you again. You should have invited me along on your little road trip. You got everyone back at SHIELD worried about you guys. Where are we anyway?" asked Thor.

The house looked bigger on the inside than it did on the outside. Which was puzzling but he figured it was some trick of Tony's.

"Are Steve and Pepper here? They went missing too. And my brother Loki is no longer in Asgard. That's why I came looking for you guys. I have the Tesseract with me but I feel we should keep it hidden. If my brother learns this is here, we could be in trouble." said Thor.

He grinned as he walked in taking a seat setting his hammer down at his side.

"So what have you guys been up to?" asked Thor.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

Tony gagged slightly at the extremely tight grip Thor had as he hugged him and bruce. He patted Thor's back and responded "Good to see you do, point-break. Sorry we didn't call you. We don't have your number" That was a joke but since Thor didn't get it he just spoke it just because Tony loved being a sarcastic jerk sometimes. Tony let go eventually and responded with a happy tone "Yeah. Steve's here and Pepper too. It's all good Thor. They were quick to find me and Bruce"

Tony then paused about Loki. He knew Thor would notice it sometime. Especially since the thunder god obviously had unfinished business and concern over his murderous adopted baby brother. Tony gulped and responded with a tad of annoyance "Oh we heard rumors he's here. We think he's with Ask Thatguy" He then gasped in joy at the tesseract "Thor! You perfect person you! This is great. Now that we have this, this'll solve a majority of our technical and magical problems" He patted Thor's shoulder "Dude. You earned a all-year drinking card from me"

He then sat next to Thor and responded "We've been pretty damn busy. Mostly because we've been having kiddnappings and battles left and right" Tony sighed, rubbing his eyes "Some of our members are still prisoners of enemy armies"

[Thor]

Thor realized how strong his hugs were and grinned sheepishly pulling back.

"Sorry Tony. I forget my own strength sometimes. It's good to see you guys again." said Thor.

He chuckled at Tony's jokes. He hadn't changed much since he'd last saw him which was a good thing. If Tony had changed enough for him to notice Thor would have thought something was really wrong. He smiled glad to hear Steve and Pepper were here.

"This is great news. The Avengers are together again. Hakweye, Fury, and Black Widow are still back there though. We were having a little meeting when I got pulled here. I hope the rest of them are alright." said Thor.

He paused as Tony said he heard Loki was on Ask That Guy's Army.

"So my brother is here. I need to find a way to stop him. Then again he probably already knows I'm here. Somehow." said Thor.

He heard Tony talk about the tesearct. He heard Tony say it would solve a lot of their problems to have the Teseract. He nodded.

"Yes. But perhaps we shouldn't tap into its power. The last two times someone tried to use it opened portals. The first Loki was able to hypnotize many agents including Hawkeye. And the second Loki nearly defeated us with an army of aliens. It might be safer for all of us if we don't use this thing. Unless you know of a safer way to use this without risking all of our lives." said Thor.

He glanced at Bruce and grinned glad to see his friend again.

"I see you're not green at the moment. Still controlling your anger I see. Smart move." said Thor.

He paused turning back to Tony as he said they were busy and had a few kidnappings with some even prisoned in the other armies.

"The armies have taken prisoners? Then we should rescue them. You have your armored suits and Bruce can turn into the hulk. Why do they still have prisoners? Never mind. I will show them you don't mess with the Avengers or our allies." said Thor.

He turned to go but felt someone grab his arm to stop him. He turned seeing it was Tony as Thor looked at him confused.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

Tony smirked, he was glad to see Thor be his cheerful big-headed self. It was a relief to see a old friend. Especially one that was a god. One that was extremely powerful and useful. He smiled as Thor commented that so far the avengers were together. All they needed were Barton and Black Widow. Tony was surprisingly missing Black Widow. It would at least cheer him up to see a familiar face. Like Thor.

Tony pouted at Thor's comment about not tapping into so much power of the tesseract. He perked up though at the mention of a safe way to use it "I actually was going to STUDY how to use it safely but you beat me to it, point-break!" He chuckled "Once we do this quote unquote safely, We'll be pretty much good with magic and science in the hero department. Just need to look at it in the lab. Don't worry, blondie. I'll not tap into it just yet. I know what Reindeer Games did with it"

He then freaked out slightly at Thor's sudden getting up. And he quickly went after him, saying "No-no-no-no-no bad idea point-break! Hold---Wait!" He suddenly grabbed his arm, surprisingly both him and Thor "We don't just have Ask Thatguy and Loki to worry about. Their are two enemy armies and the second one is this nutbar named Dr. Facilier. He's got really dark magic and it's powerful. His army is powerful. Enough to have caused my suit to power down a few times, and you know that's bad"

He sighed rubbing his face "Dude, trust me, I'm usually the one to do the action and planning later but this time we need a plan. Mostly because if we go out there randomly, they'll spot us and take us down. It's weird because you, bruce and I could easily handle it but these guys must have some power juice because they've taken a lot of us down" He then snarled angerily "Which pisses me off since they usually kidnapp the weaker ones. Like the kids. I still don't get why Critic keeps them here"

Bruce winches slightly as the God Of Thunder gripped him in a tight hug before setting him back down. Luckily he didn't have to say much because Tony said it for him. "To tight" he heard the billionaire wheeze out.

He glanced at Bruce and grinned glad to see his friend again.

"I see you're not green at the moment. Still controlling your anger I see. Smart move." said Thor.

"At the moment no" Bruce said as he takes a seat in a chair. He listened to Tony and Thor talk for a moment and Tony's attempt to stop the god from standing up.

[Thor]

Thor smiled at Bruce glad things were ok. He paused smiling sheepishly seeing Bruce wince realizing he'd hugged them both a bit too tightly. He had to remember to work on his strength. He didn't want to end up hurting his allies after all. He turned back to Tony and nodded.

"I think I'll supervise. No offense but I do not want anything to go wrong. We don't need to unleash an army of aliens in the house or alert Loki. If he learns of the Teseract and steals it we will be in more trouble than we are right now." said Thor.

He paused as Thor stopped him from going telling him about the two armies and both had powerful members. He looked shocked as he said he powered down Tony's suit.

"Your suit powered down? Well perhaps they will be a worthy opponents after all. But I'll stay for now." said Thor.

He paused as Tony continued talking about they needed a plan and if they went without one they could attacked and possibly hurt. They kidnapped the weaker members like children. He frowned.

"Children have no business being involved in a war. Even as a god my father refused to have Loki or myself involved in battles. He didn't even start training us until we were nearly teenagers." said Thor.

(ooc: I only saw Thor once and they didn't mention when Thor started training. So figured Odin would try to let them have a normal childhood for as long as possible since it was supposedly a time of peace anyway.)

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

(OCC: I always feel his training began at around where he'd be in his "teens". So I can accept this headcanon XD)

Tony was far more than happy to allow Thor to keep an eye on the tesseract. The god knew about it more than he did, and Tony felt a bit annoyed with Fury not allowing people who knew about the weapon to keep until Manhatten was destroyed. Thor knew his abilities which was why the god was politely requesting he supervise the tesseract anyway "Sure. I actually have no problem with it. It's way powerful, weird alien stuff is your forte not mine"

Tony was relieved Thor was easier to convince to stay than previously. Wow, the god really had changed for the better. He was less battle frenzy and more calm about it. Then again, Tony was used to seeing him impatient or angry, or amused. This was just them reuniting, which made Tony assume that Thor was going on a better path. He then shrugged "Yeah, they did. It's odd. Working on why that is. Thanks for listening by the way"

Then he cringed a bit at the reference to children. He responded in a defensive manner "There's a scientist working for our enemies who made this item that forces anyone to transport unwillingly if they haven't come ourselves. That's where most of the kiddies come in. We are moving them to a new place but before we were forced to train them to prepare them from capture. It pisses me off sure but at least we didn't just have them there. We're planning not to use the kid members anymore" He then paused at Thor's mention of Loki and him not training during childhood "Oh really? From the way Rudolph used his hand on my neck to throw me out a window or you to throw your hammer of justice, I'd assume you've been using it for many, many years. But then again, there's more to gods than I thought"

[Thor]

Thor nodded as he listened to Tony.

"There's something else. You may trust people here but with the right spell or torture anyone could confess secrets. I think we should keep it between us as well as Steve and Pepper. I doubt you could keep anything from her anyway." said Thor, teasing him slightly.

He sighed knowing they had to stay for now. He wanted to go and stop them rescue the ones they'd taken and take them out. But he'd been careless before and that had made a war with his kingdom and the neighboring kingdom in his world. And he'd stayed like that while here trying to reclaim his hammer. It was only after he nearly died stopping Loki did he realize he had to change. It wasn't easy though as his mission with the Avengers and slipping back into his anger thanks to Loki's spell then. Thankfully they'd worked together and stopped Loki's plans for the second time. But now Loki had new and powerful allies. He tried reasoning with him and that had failed. But still after all this time he viewed Loki as a brother and a part of him hopes he can get that brother he grew up with back. And not the monster he's become.

He paused and listened as Tony explained how they all got here thanks to a scientist in the other army. The key to getting back home had to be getting that device and reversing it. If they could figure out how. He paused and looked down.

"I am sorry though for what my brother has done to you, Bruce, Steve, and everyone else back home. My parents and I should have seen this. We should have helped him. Instead he hates me, and is jealous of me. I want to stop him and yet he's my brother. I guess my family's a lot more complicated than most." said Thor, grinning.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

Tony got Thor's joke and snickered as the god smiled back at him. Tony enjoyed the fact Thor was here even though Bruce and Steve were plenty enough. Still, the more help, the easier this war could play out. He saw Thor's mood change as he mentioned Loki and the mortal man felt a bit sorry for his immortal god friend. It wasn't easy having a person you grew up with suddenly hate and turn againist you, and forget the good times you had, wanting to kill you the minute he saw you. Thor's smile didn't fool Tony, inside the thunder-god was hurting deeply and wished for things to change. Tony didn't want to be the one to give him hope but he didn't want Thor to let this weigh him down. Tony sighed and patted Thor's shoulder gently "Hey no worries. The window was cheap anyway. Besides, I'm sure rudolph won't stop us from taking those scumbags down. Sure he's powerful but so are we. As a team or single-handedly. We beat your adopted bro before, we can do it again"

Tony sighed at Thor's acknowledgement that Loki, undernieth it all, was still considered Thor's brother and that he should of helped him before. "I don't know what caused you two to be so apart but Loki's probably gonna need a lot of hard-work to deal with you. He'll have to go through me first... Ok yeah I'm talking a bit too much but still"

[Thor]

Thor smiled hearing Tony chuckle at his joke. He really had missed these guys.

"It's been too long my friends. I suppose being stuck here for awhile isn't so bad since we're stuck here together." said Thor.

He grinned as he paused as Tony was trying to cheer him up about Loki. He nodded and sighed.

"Sorry about that. But I'm not giving up hope. Despite what he's done he's my brother. And if there's even the slightest chance to get him back I'm going to try." said Thor.

He smiled at Tony.

"You're not talking too much. You're a good friend Tony. Thank you." said Tony.

He smiled at him grateful Tony, Bruce, and Steve were here.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

Tony gave a big grin. Maybe being friends with the god had it's advantages, as well as being lovers/friends with Dr. Banner, even if it lead to the perk of being freenemies with Steve. Thor was right, he hadn't seen Thor since his arrest with Loki. The god was pretty damn busy apparently and understandably. Tony couldn't help but wonder what DID cause Loki to hate his brother who really showed love and loyalty to him even now. The man nodded as the thunder-wielder expressed hope and optimism of getting Loki back, Tony gave a lighthearted shrug "I'm glad you won't give up on your brother. Even if he's turned into some crazy murderous fiend, no offense. He's pretty stubborn though, I personally wish you luck with that" Tony then smirked as Thor mentioned that he was just being a good friend, and surprisingly saying he didn't talk to much at all. He laughed, shocked to hear that "Wow! That's the first time in years that someone actually said I didn't talk to much. Thanks point-break"

Deciding to change the subject, Tony asked out of the blue "Have you seen Dr. Foster yet? Just curious. 'Cause she's not here as far as I can tell"

[Thor]

Thor smiled at him.

"Thank you. I want to try to reach him. I want to believe my brother I grew up with is still in there somewhere. I just hope I can reach him." said Thor.

He hadn't realized how much Loki had been filled with anger, jealousy, and hatred until after Odin had kicked him out of Asgard. Sure he had his powers back but Loki was still angry and bitter at him. He was pulled from his thoughts as chuckled as Tony thanked him.

"You're welcome Tony." said Tony.

He paused as Tony asked about Jane and he sighed. He shook his head.

"No. I was going to meet her after talking with Fury and the others. But then that portal opened up and I got sent here. I haven't seen her in months. I promised I'd come back to her and now I'm stuck in another world. Only this time there's no way to get to her. I'm not even sure if the Tesseract could send us back home." said Thor.
